Right. I think it benefits from the same thing the toy story movies do--theyre not animating humans which means they're not trying to keep up with the ever changing and improving cgi to make realistic faces. Metal is metal, and will still look like metal in one year or 20.
Still less confusing than trying to make sense ouf of the Cars universe. The only thing Robot makes me wonder is who the first robots might've been and how they came to be.

I expected to see just a tad more of her anyway since she was my introduction as the main antagonist when I watched the trailer but it turned out to be his son, Ratchet when I watched it.
It's strange how little individual screen time she get's despite the fact, she's the main antagonist, at least all her scenes are either super intense or adorably hilarious, I love how much she cares for her son.

I didn't know this movie had Tom Waits in it, since I was very young when I originally saw it. I really liked the song even though I was young,so hearing his harsh voice right at the start was a really crazy shock to know that this song i liked as a kid is a guy I really like as an adult.

All evilness aside, it's kinda sweet how surprisingly healthy and positive Ratchet's relationship with his mom is despite them being villains.
