Hell yeah brother! Thanks for filming the entire thing that was absolutely sick. Happy to see yall in the Midwest. Come to Iowa some time! There are some nice park runs
You know how this goes. No spoiler prediction is going to be 49:30 for 10 miles. Edit: Hey, 50:10 for 10 miles is pretty good, considering you had that cramp. I know how it feels to know you could run so much faster but there is that one thing that makes it really much more difficult than it should have been, and it's really frustrating, but I think on a flat course and without that cramp, you can defintely break 50 minutes for 10 miles. Good job on the amazing work man.
Legit don’t have a single thing I would change about my Coros watch or band easily the best purchases I’ve made. Had my first ever 10k race after 13 years off running and set my watch to put me between 60-70 mins finish time. Finished in 63!
Great job, Spencer. The sub-50 is right there for you to grab - just 3 or 4 seconds a mile. You can slice that time, minus the side stitch, and getting some more road races and training under your belt. Keep on rolling. Your training is working.
That was a great race man! I know how you feel with those side stitches. I’ve gotten them before and they make it very hard to get full breaths in which really makes it difficult to push the pace. I had a good time watching this race and look forward to seeing more of these longer distance road races in the future.
Great for at with the instagram, love the commentary :) You are doing very well exploring the longer distances… so, better stronger performance is on the way - cool soar outfit too !
I LOVE the cutesy stuff. More footage showing your ADORABLE dynamic is always appreciated. You guys are so friggen fun and cute!!! And then you go be bada$$ on the roads - congrats on the strong run!
so happy to hear that u had a good time even though it was a bad race, and i so remember wareham from the gtown days esp everyone cheering for him at the penn relays
On and off over the years I've been thinking about doing the Twin Cities 10 miler, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It's definitely on my list of out of town races I want to do at least once.
I was handing out electrolytes at mile 7. The 10 mile course is lowkey diabolical yall got the biggest hills on river road. I know from experience cuz im currently in high school and that is where I run
I have had the nasty right side diaphram stitch during a race and it is absolutely the worst, you can't inhale or breathe and it just persists unless you stop running. Surprised you managed as well as you did with it! Excellent run.
Oh man this reminds me of my 10 miler 3.5 weeks ago, I was trying to go for a sub 1 hour and I got a side stitch around mile 7ish, and I had to slow down. Missed the sub one hour by 7 seconds. I definitely would have been able to go under. But then again I've run a sub one hour 10 miler as part of a half marathon so maybe that counts?
Wow! Awesome Race and Video, Spencer! I'm sorry about the abdominal-area cramp(s) you had. I'm wondering if this was something like the old classic "side stitch." How was the "Insta 360" on your hat? Was it heavy? Did it kind of shake around and feel uncomfortable? I assume it would be a lot better than having a GoPro with the GoPro head mount. "No Comparison," Right? I also watched Allie's 10-mile race a bit earlier today. This was exciting! Thanks for Making and Posting This! John
runners tend to have their form break down by leaning too far forward on hills, you have to consciously stay upright while doing hills to avoid cramps.
Just before you crossed the finish line, they cut away to interview Mantz. But I got to see Allie finish.
Seeing you both finish in person was crazy! Yall killed it! I was handing out medals at the end of the race!
Congrats! I ran the full on Sunday, 3:08:14 was a big 9 minute PR.
Congrats 🎉
For a full marathon?
@@masonplays4074yes
@@breadeater4 not bad👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 I though half at first and I was like Whattttttttttttttttt but 3hr marathon is good!
Big W! Congrats on the PR, you will be in the 2s soon!!
Imagine looking outside at 5 am and seeing a bunch of weirdly dressed runners listening to a super loud national anthem
it was 7am but yeah, weird in a way lol
Wow, way to gut it out! I saw in Allie's video that you had cramps so I was expecting you'd be running 8-minute miles the last half. Nicely done!
That’s still a great achievement for someone who is feeling their way into longer distance road running. Top work!
You were born to run these longer distance road races 🦾🦾
Diaphragm cramp hurts so bad... I had to DNF a marathon because I couldn't handle it anymore.
Incredible effort for your first race on that distance!
10 mile, 13.1 and 25K are some of the best races to run !!!
Hell yeah brother! Thanks for filming the entire thing that was absolutely sick. Happy to see yall in the Midwest. Come to Iowa some time! There are some nice park runs
Well done Spence! Way to gut it out. 50 minutes for 10 miles is nothing to be ashamed of. You are well poised for the half marathon in December!
Amazing performance considering how big a jump it was compared to your older distances!! Great job King of Boulder!
Way to push through the cramp! Thanks for covering with the Insta! That was an awesome way to watch the race. Loving the road races.
I have been checking twice a day waiting for your vlog!!!
10 milers are a strange beast. You will break 50 on the next one.
Way to gut it out! Those side cramps are nasty. You're a beast on the roads. Looking forward to seeing the different kinds of road races you do.
TCM ! I've ran that a few times. Love that one. Nice to see you guys hit that up!
190 average heart rate for 50 minutes is insane
Why? I average 189 for the marathon.
Max hr is so specific to each person and there are so many varying factors
@@andydevinewineyours is the rational answer but emotionally ill side with op on this one :D

That's a fantastic effort Spencer and your hard work is producing really good results. Keep it up!

what a beast, very inspiring I will be thinking about you during my first ultra this weekend.
How do you and allie coordinate posting times? Is it like rock paper sissors for first upload or something?

Fantastic Spencer! It’s only up from here and best wishes on the road to the half. Keep grinding and having fun.👍💯🎉🎉🎉
georgie looks like he lost weight, thanks Spencer for providing the video camera angles, and we all love Allie, love ya'all

Nice race, it was cool to meet you
Absolutely incredible
I know you hoped for different but so impressive!!
Man seeing this vlog gives me some feels, you got the pod out w/ Allie, you have grown alot since College.

Your half marathon is gonna go crazyyyy!
It would be super awesome to watch the real-time footage for this one
You should collaborate with Adam Wood! He ran this race he came in 80th
On and off over the years I've been thinking about doing the Twin Cities 10 miler, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It's definitely on my list of out of town races I want to do at least once.
it's definitely worth it, especially if you like a challenging course and generally speaking, nice fall weather
I was handing out electrolytes at mile 7. The 10 mile course is lowkey diabolical yall got the biggest hills on river road. I know from experience cuz im currently in high school and that is where I run
Quick tip if you want to clean the track edition pace 3 band, you can get it looking almost new with rubbing dish soap in and rinsing in warm water
Big up the only elite with a camera 🔥
Good to see Nick G in a video again! Classic
Minnesota gang

Love the podcast!!
Great Work! Way to push through the pain!
Spencer is the soar website accurate 205 dollars for a pair of shorts!?!
That’s a lot of money for shorts I’ll potentially shit in
Good time! My favorite races were half marathons. Having trouble with them now. I’m 71 and lazy. I also like food way too much.😂
Congratulations, what an amazing effort.
I’m proud of you for toughening it out.
“Is it that big”
“That’s what nick said last night”
Great job Spence !!!
Well done Spence! 👏👏👏
You two are like best friends. So nice to see
Next time you have to go for the airport segment
Great job
Congratulations especially for batteling through the cramp.
Are you taking any carbs or electrolytes during your race?
Epic Spence!
I like the data overlay, I've never seen this in a run race before. usually these data overlays you see in road bicycle races.
H3 hold music in the beginning, hell yeah.
First 15 seconds of the video were actually hard to explain to my folks that i 'am watching a guy running 10 mile road race.😮
whats the difference between elite and professional? Also, do you have to pay for your own travel or does the race pay for that?
Come down to Elkader Iowa on Oct. 26 for the 5k. Just asking as a fan.
Solid work!
Wondering if you had a nagging side stitch from eating a little too close to the race start?
Dang, in the first minute!!
I blame the burrito.

That's a sub 50 on a flat course.
The cramps are probably related to your high heart rate and maybe the pounding going down hill.

nice work!
That heart rate! Dude, what's your max HR?
Wharm is from the Georgetown days. He was in the 2mile time trial right
400 ft elevation? Pffff. With no cramp as well, you’re a sub 50 guy. Good job 👍
Half marathon… then Boston 5k in December, then 3k in Jan/feb… then mile later All on Boston indoor track . 13:59….7:55….3:58
NICEE Love these video forms
I was not expecting a Wareham appearance
The crazy thing is that you are a very fast runner. And this is still slow in conparison to elite marathon pace 😮
190 HR for 10 miles is insane
Great race. Sorry to hear about you being catfished by a 46 year old.😂
That time was 32nd overall?? Jesus Christ
Congrats on a strong run. The Go 3s will only last a bit over 30 minutes out of the action pod
Allie chicked you on Mile 10! 😂
Love Coros

I think if you entered the Vermont 10 miler 11/2 you would win by 5-7 minutes.
Holy heart rate Batman!
St. Paul/Minn. Home of First Avenue!!!
My home! Minnesota!!! Nice!
Are u ethnically Swedish?
195 bpm sustained running? I start to hurt at 165..
That burger looks good
Mile 9 is always slow on that course. Seems flat, but there are a couple of rolls that slow everyone down.
That’s my heart rate while barely jogging. Can get up to one 150/169 just walking.
Bro the beginning sounded so weird lol
Way to gut it out!
Connor being a “pretty good runner”
W Spencer
Also u fasts like dang!
