Then after few centuries when Brits , french, Dutch , Portuguese arrived in india to rule and when they saw Hindus using same numbers they modified it to " Hindu- Arabic" numerals .which the world even calls with same name . So Hindus got only 50% credit for the 100% work they did!!

Bro did the historians know what mathematics Arabia had in 8th cen comes from hind? As far as I know common people know less about this, even in India
Like the algorithm you mentioned in starting is credited to Arabia was already present in bharat long back and goes back to the panini rishi times
West/church controls the information they intentionally stop till arabs and don't speak about Bharat's connection to mathematics.

The Europeans had Roman numerals
( V, IX etc ) which made big calculations, even simple counting difficult . The Hindu numerals (0 to 9 ) reached Europe through Arabs . Arabs were mutual traders with both indian and Europe . So the Europeans started calling this numbers as "Arabic numerals ". Then after few centuries when Brits , french, Dutch , Portuguese arrived in india to rule and when they saw Hindus using same numbers they modified it to " Hindu- Arabic" numerals .which the world even calls with same name . So Hindus got only 50% credit for the 100% work they did!!
