Decimal number system is easy to operate on bigger values and lowest values , but in octal or in hexa the operation at bigger and as well as lower levels would be difficult like points. Also decimal can be easily represented as machine language 0 and 1. So it also implies ancient people were also dealing with computers and data transmission and aerospace techs.

यवन और शक का मूल अर्थ स्थानबोधक रहा होगा। जैसे यूरोप में रहने वाले यवन और मध्य एशिया वाले शक, इस प्रकार। जब रामायण और महाभारत में इनका वर्णन मिलता है उस समय भी इन स्थानों में लोग तो रहते ही होंगे। अब वे लोग आजकल के अथवा बाद में भारत मे आये ग्रीक अथवा दूसरी सभ्यताओं से ही जुड़े थे अथवा भिन्न थे यह नहीं कहा जा सकता। और इन इतिहास ग्रंथों में यवन और शक का वर्णित होना मात्र इतना बताता है कि उस समय भारतवासी इन स्थानों पर रहने वाले लोगों से परिचित थे। यानी यह कहने के स्थान पर कि यह ग्रंथ बाद में लिखे गए, यह भी कहा जा सकता है कि ग्रीक आदि सभ्यता के विषय में आज का हमारा ज्ञान अपूर्ण है और इन स्थानों में पहले भी किसी प्रकार की सभ्यताएं रही होंगी।

अरे भैया, साधारण सी बात है। पूर्व में शून्य का वर्तमान की तरह गणना में उपयोग ज्ञात नहीं था। बस। जैसे x=दस या xx=बीस इसमें शून्य कहाँ है? ऐसे ही सहस्र में शून्य कहाँ है? शून्य का ज्ञान होने के बाद दशमलव गणना सरल हो गई बस। जैसे पूर्व में 10.25 को सवा दस और 10.75 को पौने ग्यारह कह देते थे। लेकिन 10.61 को कहना दुष्कर था। अब तो 00.0001 जैसी संख्याएँ लिखना सरल हो चुका है। यह बहुत बड़ा उत्थान था।

Base 10 is easy to understand because we have 10 fingers. And calculation done on fingers are easy to comprehend. However, India had base 16 system as well. For currency specifically, because 16 can be easily subdivided until we reach to 1. The dozen system like 12 is helpful because twelve can be divided by first four numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4. Hence easy to distribute the things amongst groups. Think of a dozen bananas. More easier system was Base 60 system for time calculation. 60 can be divided into first six numbers. 1,2,3,4,5,6. And so on.... So the number systems were defined as per the convenience. However we have mostly standardized it to base 10 system now with some exceptions like time calculation.

Decimal number system is easy to operate on bigger values and lowest values , but in octal or in hexa the operation at bigger and as well as lower levels would be difficult like points. Also decimal can be easily represented as machine language 0 and 1. So it also implies ancient people were also dealing with computers and data transmission and aerospace techs.

Brother एक प्रश्न था। कि रामायण और महाभारत में यवन" और शक" का वर्णन मिलता है। और हम ये भी जानते है, कि यवन का अर्थ ग्रीक होता है। और ग्रीक सभ्यता भारतीय सभ्यता के काफी समय बाद आयी, ऐसे में इनका वर्णन क्या दर्शता है। कि मॉर्डन रामायण और महाभारत तब लिखे गये जब ग्रीक और शक भारत में आ गये थे।

रामायण भागवत महाभारत में मिलावट की गई है
यवन और शक का मूल अर्थ स्थानबोधक रहा होगा। जैसे यूरोप में रहने वाले यवन और मध्य एशिया वाले शक, इस प्रकार। जब रामायण और महाभारत में इनका वर्णन मिलता है उस समय भी इन स्थानों में लोग तो रहते ही होंगे। अब वे लोग आजकल के अथवा बाद में भारत मे आये ग्रीक अथवा दूसरी सभ्यताओं से ही जुड़े थे अथवा भिन्न थे यह नहीं कहा जा सकता। और इन इतिहास ग्रंथों में यवन और शक का वर्णित होना मात्र इतना बताता है कि उस समय भारतवासी इन स्थानों पर रहने वाले लोगों से परिचित थे। यानी यह कहने के स्थान पर कि यह ग्रंथ बाद में लिखे गए, यह भी कहा जा सकता है कि ग्रीक आदि सभ्यता के विषय में आज का हमारा ज्ञान अपूर्ण है और इन स्थानों में पहले भी किसी प्रकार की सभ्यताएं रही होंगी।
भारतीय सभ्यता बहुत पुरानी है लेकिन जो सबसे पुरानी सभ्यता मिली है भारत में उसमें और ग्रीक के बाद की सभ्यता में अंतर है । उनकी लिखने की लिपि अलग है।

अरे भैया, साधारण सी बात है। पूर्व में शून्य का वर्तमान की तरह गणना में उपयोग ज्ञात नहीं था। बस। जैसे x=दस या xx=बीस इसमें शून्य कहाँ है? ऐसे ही सहस्र में शून्य कहाँ है? शून्य का ज्ञान होने के बाद दशमलव गणना सरल हो गई बस। जैसे पूर्व में 10.25 को सवा दस और 10.75 को पौने ग्यारह कह देते थे। लेकिन 10.61 को कहना दुष्कर था। अब तो 00.0001 जैसी संख्याएँ लिखना सरल हो चुका है। यह बहुत बड़ा उत्थान था।

Base 10 is easy to understand because we have 10 fingers. And calculation done on fingers are easy to comprehend.
However, India had base 16 system as well. For currency specifically, because 16 can be easily subdivided until we reach to 1.
The dozen system like 12 is helpful because twelve can be divided by first four numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4. Hence easy to distribute the things amongst groups. Think of a dozen bananas.
More easier system was Base 60 system for time calculation. 60 can be divided into first six numbers. 1,2,3,4,5,6.
And so on....
So the number systems were defined as per the convenience. However we have mostly standardized it to base 10 system now with some exceptions like time calculation.
