GR 68 is live! In this week’s episode, the boys sit down with Julia Budd, a missionary with Josiah Venture in the Czech Republic! This interview spans a variety of topics, including Julia’s background, her call to missions, her work with Josiah Venture, dealing with the fallout (from a front row seat) of the Russia/Ukraine war, ministering while learning a foreign language, and her future goals as she seeks to continue serving the Lord in the mission field!
About Josiah Venture:
Our mission is to equip young leaders in Central and Eastern Europe to fulfill Christ’s commission through the local church. We want to see passionate followers of Jesus Christ, with a vision to reach and disciple their generation for Him.
About Julia:
Julia first came to the Czech Republic in 2013 as an intern with Josiah Venture. That summer, she saw how camps could be a powerful tool for discipleship as young people encountered Jesus for the first time and young leaders grew as disciple-makers in their local churches. That summer internship, a semester in Lithuania, and short-term trips to Poland and Czech Republic confirmed her desire to be a part of making disciples in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2021, Julia joined the International Team as a coordinator for international summer ministries. She is thrilled to live in the Czech Republic while serving locally and internationally.
