Calvinism’s take on God paints him as a weak God, not a strong one. A weaker God must determine all things, a stronger God can create beings and let them determine some things of their own.

Completely wrong, God does elect all people. That’s Paul’s whole point in Romans 9 and Ephesians 1. The Jews already believed God only elected some, and it was them. Paul is arguing against this by saying that no, God elected the Gentiles too, all men have access to the throne, all men are loved by God. They may be chosen different ways, being Jewish is different than being Gentile, and God choose the Jews directly through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and he chose the Gentiles through Christ, but everyone is chosen/elect/loved by God. In Romans 9 he is proving this by reversing all of the traditional Jewish identity roles, now they are the Esau, Ishmael, Pharaoh of the story, the common use vessel. Which is 180 degrees opposite of what they thought. In Ephesians 1:11 Paul is saying we, Gentiles, have also been chosen/obtain an inheritance (along with the Jews.) The key word “also” is omitted from bible translations except for NIV but it’s there in the Greek.
