If she is paying the bills, utilities and mortgage then she should just stop paying them.

Het begin kan je overslaan, het wordt na 3 minuten herhaald.
You can skip the beginning, it is repeated after 3 minutes.

Who is paying for everything for the house? Whose name is on the loan, the deed? Whose decision was it for you to continue full time work and transform into a slave for your husband and his family?

I’ve never heard about marriage vows that turns a new wife or new husband into slaves.
Am so proud of OP in this story when she’s getting ready to leave the party…. and she left all the after party cleanup and dishes once (former) slave owner had signed the divorce papers. … no sarcasm… basically setting his (now ex) house slave free.
IMHO OP is responsible for allowing husband to turn her into a slave. They say love is blind and here, love totally blinded OP. She was brainwashed so much so fast that she completely missed the red flags. Once she realized what was happening ( great, HUGE help from parents who almost instantly knew what was happening), she removed herself enough so she could heal and recover her self confidence and self esteem. She knew her value and did everything needed to get it back.
Husband is presented as if he was the sole destroyer of OPs freedom. We basically didn’t see his parents as part of the destruction, we only heard they were complicit. And no, this is not a criticism. If would have added to the story (IMHO) but the absence didn’t take anything away by omitting it.
To the author: you wrote the story and did a wonderful job. We don’t expect to see or hear stories of this quality online. You earned a huge thank from all of us.

Why would you listen to your husband’s every word. I would not do that.

Repeating same thing over and over is not good for a story line.

This is a very poor AI attempt at writing dialogue. Please use HUMANS FOR EVERYTHING IN THE FUTURE!
These fake stories are GODSAWFUL!! Quitting before I start losing sanity points...
