My sister Demands I Help Her Buy a House - After Refusing To Help When I Was Homeless. I’m a 33-year-old guy, and I come from a family that’s, well, let’s just say we’ve always had our issues. You know those families where everything looks fine on the surface, but there’s always this undercurrent of tension? That’s us. My older sister, Markie, is 37, and for as long as I can remember, things have always been a little off between us. Our parents were the classic strict and frugal type.
The kind who believed in teaching us the value of hard work by making us fend for ourselves as soon as we were old enough. We grew up independent, whether we liked it or not. Markie? She always had things figured out. At least that’s what everyone thought.
Right out of college, she landed a high-paying job in finance. One of those people who always seemed to have it all together, while I struggled to even get by. I wasn’t envious at first. We’re different people. She’s the kind who would talk about investments at family dinners, while I was just happy if I could afford rent for the next month.
Our paths couldn’t have been more different, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that things really started to go downhill between us. See, about 3 years ago, I hit rock bottom. I lost my job. I was working for this small company that ended up going under, and on top of that, I had just gone through a nasty breakup. I had no backup plan, no savings, and no place to go.

Why is OP think about any of this? When OP was homeless, where was his parents and other family?
Dude. Op could have simply said NO! That ops parents can cosign and pay that 15k! She obviously can't be financially responsible if she can't get the home herself.

Yes, I think this is fake. But where is the husband in all this? What man wants another man to buy him a house? Wy do people accuse others of being jealous of people who are struggling?

You can’t be wishy-washy in this you have to say no make it clear. There is no way in hell you’re gonna do it. You didn’t help me when I needed help and this is not revenge. I looked into it. I cannot help you because if you bail on this I am responsible and I have nothing to give. Do you want me to cosign? No you want to make me a half owner of the house maybe that’s an option Then I’ll cosign but I’m sure you don’t want to put me on the deed. You just want me to be on the loan. Not happening.
