Sharon is a good woman. Every time we have seen her, she treated my son and me like family. I still have a photo of Sharon and my son on a thumb drive I saved from my old iphone from when we lived in NC.
I grew up a Richard Petty fan because my dad worked for Chrysler and in the 70s and early 80s it was tough for me because mopar was not doing well but Petty enterprises was!!! So thank you for sharing these stories! It is very special to know you were like everyone else and that it was truly a family affair!!
The King and a great family!
They're just regular people.. like people most of us know
Your mom regularly brought the kids and church groups to my grandparents skating rink, Hills Skating Rink, the Pettys were always part of the community. I distinctly remember a picture in the Courier one time that was taken during recess of the school board meeting. Linda was passionate and things had gotten heated. It was in the hallway and you could tell she was fired up and there was laid back Richard leaned up against the wall talking to her calming her down. Lol. Love the whole Petty family.
Fantastic ❤
I remember meeting Richard at my elementary school when he was running for commissioner
I love these conversations!! What a wonderful family!
My daddy wasn't famous but like Sharon I just knew and thought he was special.❤❤
God Bless all of you and your family ❤️🙏

I know it will not happen, but I sure wish Richard lives to be 200 years old so generations to come can enjoy the King.
For the most part ....justa nice normal 70s family
Sharon falling out of the car was hilarious to think about. Reminds me of my Dad's mom, Mamaw Delphi..she was born in magoffin co, Eastern Kentucky in the early 1920's. She & Papaw Arnie Raised 6 boys & 1 girl in a rural area called Cow Creek. She jumped the Creek in Papaw's old work car, a 68 Pontiac. Gas stuck & she missed the bridge. She just held on & made the jump...pfrove up to the barn & parked like it was just another Monday or whatever.
❤❤❤
Hay
She has mannerisms and speach so much like her uncle Dale Inman.
Not a good recording. His audio is too low and she interrupts him.
Good to see a Ford engine going back in a Ford truck
