You are welcome,I am glad you like. I had to go over harder areas a few times. We had a a leak from a dish it went all over and it burnt. I made the paste mix and let it step turning the oven on very low just enough to warm up the area for about 10 minutes. While the area was still warm, I cleaned the area wearing oven mittens. It came up really nice. Just be careful to mine the oven if you do this because it can burn you. Happy to hear you can clean your oven with out causing problems to your asthma. God bless and happy cleaning.
Thanks for the information. I derived my own formula from yours and it worked like a charm...6 Years of hard grease came off in a matter of 30 minutes!!!!!!! This is really helpful, thank you! I use this mixture to clean my tub. Just a word of advice on the tougher/stickier spots to clean- if you sprinkle the baking soda on first then just spritz some vinegar on it w a spray bottle the baking soda doesn't dissolve as much and the course texture really helps double your scrubbing action. Thanks for sharing this!
You are more than welcome and thank you also for sharing information about the baking soda and vinegar in the spray bottle. I had another person email me and they told me they used my oven cleaner for their grill with this same mixture. They said it worked outstanding. That is my next big project is to try it on our grill.

One of the best grease removers I have ever used is Tide. Simply mix regular Tide detergent with water and you can just about clean anything that is greasy or dirty. I've seen it work on so many things that even professional cleaners couldn't touch.
Hey, James! Have you actually TRIED using tide on the oven? No? Then don't recommend it. I tried your advice and it was a disaster. Nope nope!! No one use this!!!! Two hours later and I am still trying to get all the residue out!!!!! 🤬
Thanks... I've use baking soda and vinegar before but did not know to use Dawn disk soap. Also, I had no idea one could take the stove door apart. Thank you for video taping, it was very helpful watching you go through the procedure and motivated me to get up from computer and clean our oven, LOL. Thanks again!
You are very welcome. It's the little things that can help made a big difference. Warning the dawn will make it very bubbly. I do love before and after pictures. Let me know how it worked for you adding the dawn soap. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks for the comment.
Haa I did the same exact thing, got right up and cleaned. This method was fabulous! It was a bit too much for my bad back with all of the rinsing I had to do but it'll still be my go-to cleaning method.
Graysunshinecries Thanks for the feed back. I understand about your back. It's not fun cleaning ovens with bad backs. Take a hot bath and relax know your own is clean.
Thank you for this video you’re the only video that I found that’s honest. Everybody else is like you just smear it on wait two hours and then scrub a little and wipe / rinse it off and I’m like no way absolutely not I scraped all of the burnt caked on stuff off as much as I could vacuumed it up and then did this let it sit and yeah it made it shiny and it cleaned some of it but like you said you had to do it several times! Thank you for your honesty!!!
You're very welcome. The truth matters, yes it works but you will have few clean it a few times. Also all the bubbles, it's works and it's worth the time. Thanks again.
Hi This is a really cool oven cleaner and there is no fumes!!! My husband was impressed by the oven door and rubber coming off the oven. So thank you for teaching us that. :) We are trying this and believe it will work.
Just used this I can not believe my eyes.....Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!!! Bring it on girl!! You are my hero I am ready to take on this adventure of new ways to do things.
Just saw your video about your home made oven cleaner and the thing that impressed me the most was that you took of the oven door. That was BRILLIANT! Who knew. Any one who has cleaned their oven knows that the door makes cleaning it a serious contortion act and a pain in the a$$.
Terese Duffy It would drive me nuts seeing the inside of the oven door dirty. With all the messages from people from around the world it is great to see I am not the only one. lol
Thank you for sharing this information about safely cleaning your stove and oven. I am also an asthmatic and so are my kids. If you have any more videos on this, please share with me! Thank you so much!
+Platnium Washington I am happy to hear you liked this information. I do have other videos for shower cleaner and towel bowl cleaner. I also have two videos on homemade laundry soap. I do like here what different cleaners you have tired and work great for you. Thanks for the feed back.
I know someone who has a really greasy and smelly oven to clean I will tell them what to use. Thankyou so very much and its non toxic which is just brilliant.Thankyou Sugins
Roz Power You are welcome. I have learned from this video people all over the world hate cleaning their ovens, and one that stops so many is not knowing how. I always love before and after pictures..if your friend is brave enough.
I admire anyone who uses non-chemical items in everyday life. I will have to say that in cleaning the oven I will revert back to the chemical, well until I buy a self-cleaning oven. Between scrubbing & wiping it out I spent over 2 hours cleaning using this method. I am thinking maybe my Brillo pad would have worked just as well. For first timers, I'd recommend leaving out the dawn dish soap, it took considerable time to wipe the oven clean. I do using baking soda, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, lemons & oranges in cleaning my home. I look forward to finding other natural cleaning options. Although this is not one I would do again, it maybe an option for others. I'd rather spend my time enjoying life than cleaning. : -)
+Rebecca L Thank you for the feed back. I am going to try some lemons and see how that works. If you find something that works better please let me know.
Worked like a charm. :) The alternatives had some gruesome warning texts so it felt nice using this. I think the total costs where at the top 2$(In Sweden 15 SEK) Note: I only had to do one coating, the oven wasn´t as bad as in this video :P
I watched your video the other night, right? But then over the next few days, I watched and read many many other "DIY oven cleaner" videos/articles that were similar to yours! 🤦♀️ Tonight- I literally hunted for your video because no others were as informative, helpful and thorough as yours! Plus, so many of the tips that your viewers left in the comments helped me too! So I'm about to finally clean the oven (the oven at my job) and I'm pretty excited about the results to come! Thank you for all the help you and your family provide, in all the different ways! - Roxanne in AZ 😊💜
Thank you, kind feedback, I look forward to hearing how my recipe worked for you. Under the video if you hit show more you will find I added the tips from views. The best tip I learned from a viewer is to mix the baking soda paste with water only and in a spray bottle mix vinegar, hot water, and the dish soaps. This helps cut down on the amount soap and is easier for cleanup. I also tried one tip of putting the paste on and letting it sit overnight and then heating up the oven to help break down the corners or bad areas. They all seemed to help cut down on the time it took cleaning my oven and the bubbles after. I can't wait to hear your feedback, good or bad, all the information helps. Thanks again.
Thank you for the wonderful comments. Please read the show more information below the video for tips from others who shared wonderful ideas and tips to help clean your oven.
Just wanted to let you know that I tried your formula and it worked so well. I too have asthma so using the commercial products with lye and all of the other chemicals was not an option. I did overdo and used too much of the mixture, I now know I won't need to be that liberal with the mix, especially since it won't be such a chore, I won't wait so long to clean it. My daughter-in-law was a military wife and I've heard about those inspections ;-( Again thanks so much!
+MyIdeas , thank you for the kind words. Once I learned everything I new I had to make a video to show others. Cleaning the oven is not fun, but the more information you have the better.
Thanks for the ingredients and instructions. The Dawn Liquid detergent made a difference ! I really appreciate your time showing us. Thank you GOD Bless you
You are very welcome! I love before and after pictures if you wanted to share any. I also love any tips or tricks you have with cleaning. Thank you for leaving a comment.
Yeah, the base gives you a clean home and they wants a clean home when we move out. I used to pay to have someone clean my oven. Now I learned how to clean to pass inspection and I had to share with others.
Oh, yeah..this is what I need! Thanks guys for sharing your easy techniques :) I started to clean the oven yesterday and it's not done yet until now..Lol!
I freaking loved this video. I have Stage 4 Inoperable Double Lung Cancer called Neuroendecrine Carcinoma and I find it hard to get on the floor to clean out my oven. I'm going to make some of that cleaner and apply it and let it set for 2-10 hours.
@Steve Vestel I am sorry to hear about your lung cancer. I will pray for you. Thank you for kind words. May I suggest you read the show more under the video for extra tips other views have left. Reminder it will be a lot of bubbles. I personally don't mind the bubbles because I can breathe while cleaning and after. Looking forward to hearing backing from you and how it worked for you. I always love before and after pictures. Sending prayers.
Mixing vinegar and baking soda like that turns the two separate compounds (an acid and a base) into water and sodium acetate (which doesn't help with cleaning). To save some time, effort, and money, just use less baking soda and mix it with water, instead of neutralizing the vinegar with baking soda for no reason.
I'm sorry I forgot to take a before picture but it really got my oven clean like I love it and I don't have to worry about chemical's baking into me and my family food thank you again and if you have a microwave cleaner I would love to see a video on it
The most disappointing oven cleaners mixed the reactive ingredients of vinegar and baking soda. This combo creates a reactions that cancel out the cleaning power of both ingredients. (Read more in Green Cleaning Ingredients That You Should Never Mix.)
+DJ Chelan Heidi Neal You are welcome, think that is the best compliment I could ever get. Ha ha cleaning the oven is never fun, but it does help having friends their to help. Also laughing at yourself when you make mistakes help. Looking forward to hearing how it works for you. I love before and after pictures.
The back of my fan oven is a non stick coating. Can I use the spray on it because the it says in the booklet not to clean it with oven cleaner. This is the best demonstration of cleaning an oven using natural ingredients. Thank you so much. 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇸
Thank you the kind comments. I would google how to naturally clean non stick coating. I know lemon and high acids can hurt non-stick coating. Vinegar and water is often used to clean nonstick pans. Dose the manufacturer have a recommended natural cleaner to use? Have you tried doing a steam cleaning for the back of the oven? Us an ovensafe pot fulled with hot water. You bake the water in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes letting the water steam up the oven. Warning the oven will be hot. You must wear oven safe gloves, carefully remove the hot water and you wipe out the inside.
I am not sure Jess, about the Catalytic Liner I had to look it up.We live on base so I will have to check into this. I can say if I do have it. if is that,it didn't help we still had to work to clean the oven. We are not the first to use this oven. So it could have been damaged before we moved making it harder to clean. The cleaner works great. Also another person left a comment that if you leave the cleaner over night you can just wipe it out. Look forward to pictures!
Matthew Domer yes that is true, and I did think about adding that to my reply, but is not the salt that most people think of as salt Potassium Cyanide is also a salt but you wouldn't want it on your chips!
Thank you so much for this recipe, living with Lymphoma Cancer, my Doctor has advised me to use all natural cleaning products and I'm also trying to find natural Body and beauty products which is hard in Australia especially as I don't know what to look for.
+Christina Rutherford thank you the feed back. Just a reminder there will be a lot of bubbles. I love before and after pictures. Looking forward to hearing back on how it worked for you.
I have Arthritis & MS, so I'd use my Turbo scrubber to scrub it.My oven is minging & clatty, so I need to try that.I'm not a dirty or lazy person , I'm just not able to do it. Don't judge me, as I think most peeps oven's are the same :D :p
Sugins Corner I have been wondering how to clean between the glass on the door to my oven for ages and yeeha I came across your tutorial. Thanks a bunch for sharing your d.i.y cleaning tips. :)
Not sure if anyone else has posted this yet or if you've noticed in the mean time, but you definitely had the racks in properly the first time when you put them back in at the end of the video. See the numbers on the sides of your over, those should line up with the positions on the racks, which they did before you flipped them haha. You're going to burn stuff if you broil it that close to the heating elements. Feel free to do things however you want, but that oven was definitely designed to have them the other way haha. :P
Thank you, for the information. What was not filmed is when I had them racks lined up the other way door would not close because racks stuck out. We played with it before a bit and I started recording again, thinking I had put everything in wrong. I am happy to say we have not bunt anything.
You mentioned kids enjoying the baking soda and vinegar bubbling up. I have my kiddos clean the tub! We sprinkle baking soda in, then they spritz it with a spray bottle of vinegar, then scrub with an old piece of nylon stocking! The stocking is gentle, but abrasive enough to melt soap scum away. Works better than anything for soap scum! It's easy to work the nylon around the faucet too. =) I have a lot of great tips on my FB page Facebook dot com / toxinfreebaby Your oven looks great, thanks for sharing!
Sylvia Torres You are more than welcome. If there are things DIY things you would like to know or other videos please let me know and I will do my best to find what works.. or like I have done in the past make my own. I always love before and after pictures.
Though this was a great idea last weekend. Followed directions exactly. Very difficult to get out. A week later - I am STILL cleaning baking soda out of my oven daily. Definitely not use this method if you have a gas oven. The baking soda solution runs into every crevice. Unfortunately I'm still looking for a non-toxic way to clean my oven because I will never make this again. Glad it works for some..it just didn't for me.
Amanda Murphy sorry it didn't workout the best for you. Have you tried using a wet towel repeatedly with a water bucket? It does take a bit to get it all. I did warn about that, it does take sometime. Please let me know what recipe you find that works good for you ,I would love to try it also. Can never have enough good recipes for oven cleaners.
You are welcome Harris Cluddy. I look forward to hearing how it worked for you and seeing before and after pictures. I have been told my many if you let it sit over night on the tough spots they can just be wiped out the next day easy. I look forward to before and after pictures.
I have been using something called Potz Backofenreiniger (from Migros in Switzerland) which I am guessing is a grease cleaning formulation which already contains soda. Comes in a can and sprays like an aerosol but the spray is thick and produces a foam over whatever it is sprayed on. When left on the surface for 1-12 hours the stubborn burnt in fat comes away very easily with a metal sponge (the ones designed for saucepans and stewing pots). Don't have to worry about the oven being damaged either. I have a Siemens oven which looks pretty much identical to this and it does the job awesomely. By the way, does your rear panel covering the fan also come out? Mine is held in place by 4 Torx screws and removing this also enables me to clean the fan itself considering it also gets pretty gunked up behind there too.
+Graham Banzer it also helps when cleaning to know, when you pull the oven door down, on the hinges there are actually little tabs which you can lift up. After doing this, close the door as far as it will go, then lift the door up towards your chest. it will pop right off the oven. Re-assembly is as simple as dropping back in at the same angle, opening the door and closing the latches again.
Any chemistry pros out there. Why would mixing an acid with a bicarbonate make this work? Or does it? I would think it becomes a neutral. Maybe the abrasives of powder and muscle effort work.
I don't know what it dose, but it does. I have done it without the borax but it does work better with both. Same when I add borax to washer, especially with my husband work clothes.
dominatorX I am truly blessed with wonderful friends. They helped me, because I put my back out trying to do it alone as I said in the start of the video. I got hit by a car. It was only one car that hit me, running my body over giving me 16 bad disk almost killing me. True friends help each other even when it is hard work! I pray you have true friends who will help when there is hard work. Thanks for such a wonderful comment. Look forward to seeing before and after pictures of your oven.
I would recommend reading over the manual because I am not sure how your auto cleaning works on your oven. I had one long ago never used it. I would just clean my oven by hand and not turn on the auto clean. Not sure if this really helps. I look forward to hearing how everything worked out for you.
Your oven looks similar to mine. Do you have any heating pipes on the top wall? Did you clean them the same way? I was able to clean the sides and bottom of my oven but the top still looks terrible and I'm not sure what to do about that... Would you have any tips?
+Alice von Breece , I used a long handled soft brush that you would normally use to clean a bottle or vase with. I got it at Ikea. For harder areas you can use a tooth brush , it works great for smaller areas. It took longer to clean that the top inside than the rest of the stove. I tired to film it, but it was so dark you could not see it, I didn't have good lighting like now. Hope this helps, please let me know how it works for you and if you find anything thing new. I also love before and after pictures.
I watched this all the way through mainly because i wanted to see if you had managed to clean your oven all the way through real time, and you did. Well done on the great natural filming of this, good lighting , and great chat, very impressed. I am now going to look and see if you have done more cleaning tips. The "Dawn "soap...can you suggest an English alternative? We don't have that brand over in UK.Thank you very much for sharing your great idea.
rubberdc thank you for comments, my goal with homemade cleaner is to show worked great for me and even film when I do a mistake, it's the only way to learn. When it comes to the Dawn dish soap, try the one you like best for your country. I am not sure what brands to recommend you never used any. Sounds like I need to take a vacation to England. Please let me know what worked best for you and remember I love before and after pictures. I look forward to hearing back from you and any homemade cleaners that work for you.
I did try your homemade cleaner and used a regular washing liquid and vinegar and it came up just as you suggested. excellent . I didnt resort to my usual steaming method which fills my oven with steam clouds. although I continue with the rest of teh oven and hob stainless steel and the rest I will also continue with your great solution. Thank you for showing it.
UK Alternative dish soap is 'Fairy' washing up Liquid. I know this Because it is also used to bathe pets in case of Flea's, as it is the safest. They do use it for the same in The USA with 'Dawn'. It is Non toxic to pets..so safe for everything really. I hope this helps. I am also in the UK.
It shouldn't have taken 3 tries .. she shouldn't have used vinegar.. The most disappointing oven cleaners mixed the reactive ingredients of vinegar and baking soda. This combo creates a reactions that cancel out the cleaning power of both ingredients. (Read more in Green Cleaning Ingredients That You Should Never Mix.)
Hi I am in the UK and we don`t get the dawn detergent, what is it? A fabric conditioner? Dishwasher detergent? Washing up Liquid? and not sure if we can get baking soda but will check.
This has been the worst oven cleaning experience for me. I followed the directions and after much wiping/rinsing I thought I was done. Once everything dried though I had white baking soda residue and clumps everywhere. When I tried to wipe again everything just suds up. I've been wiping it out 2- 3 times a day for several days now and I still can't get it all out (and it's still very sudsy). It also didn't seem to make a noticeable difference in the stuck on grease which has made my whole experience that much more frustrating. Do you have any tips for getting this stuff wiped out of the oven?
Reminder please read the helpful tips from others have shared that information is right below my video just hit the show more. There will be lots of bubbles. I would love before and after pictures. Looking forward to hearing what you think about it.
how long does it stay good for? and by that I mean how long will it have cleaning power, I thought when baking powder gets wet and bubbles out, it's lost its mojo? but I guess that myth is already kinda debunked when you use it on your oven, since its not so fizzy then either, and it still cleans really good. what is/are the active ingredient(s) in baking soda? I can't find it anywhere but I really want to buy some.
Baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate or bicarbonate of soda. It last me about a month. I do have to mixed everything up again, it still works great. It doesn't lose it's mojo that I can see at all and still works great.
I can't get Dawn dishwashing soap in Australia , so I am going to try Earth Choice , it is plant based ,grey water anbd septic safe and MOST IMPORTANTLY cruelty free...
Thanks for the second comment. How did it work out, I would love to know. I look forward to hearing back from you. I get a large number of people from Austria living comments, it would be nice to hear your experience to help them out. Again thanks for the comment.
mary madigan You can use any good dish soap. I use Dawn for few reason I am not allergic to it , it is great on grease and it is save for the environment. I know they have other great brands dish soap in other country's, I just don't know any. I hope this answer your question Mary? I look forward to hearing back and seeing before and after pictures.
I have had a lot of positive feed back on people use my cleaning recipes to clean bbq grills and the grout between the tiles. I would love to have before and after pictures plus your feedback on what you think.
+Jenn Davis it does not have to be Dawn dish soap, this is the one I like because I'm not allergic to it and it's safe for the environment. Dawn is also great for cleaning up grease, but there are many other good dish soaps that you can use. Remember there is going to be lots of bubbles and I love before and after pictures. Look forward to hearing back how it works for you.

My husband was impressed by the oven door and rubber coming off the oven. So thank you for teaching us that. :)
We are trying this and believe it will work.

With all the messages from people from around the world it is great to see I am not the only one. lol
You are so awesome! I'm glad I don't have to wait 12 hours for it to get cleaned beautifully 😊
Thank you for the kind comments Brown Eyez. I am happy you like it and it worked for you.
Thank you! I appreciate the tip on how to clean the door as well. Great video.
Mandy Whittle you are welcome. I also love before and after pictures.
The alternatives had some gruesome warning texts so it felt nice using this.
I think the total costs where at the top 2$(In Sweden 15 SEK)
Note: I only had to do one coating, the oven wasn´t as bad as in this video :P
Aboslutly amazing thank you my oven is actually cleaner than when i use chemicals, so thank you to you and to your fella x
You are very welcome. I do love before and after pictures. Thank you for the feed back.
Thank you so much. I am also an asthmatic and I have been looking on how to clean my oven the natural way.
Platnium Washington You are more than welcome. I look forward to hearing how it works for you. I also love before and after pictures too :)
I'm saving this to my DIY recipes!! The over door part is Great to know!
Thank you for the wonderful comments. Please read the show more information below the video for tips from others who shared wonderful ideas and tips to help clean your oven.
I wish I had seen your video before scrubbing my oven all afternoon !
I will try your method next time i have to clean it :)
Thank you !
Thank you! I love all the feed back. Hearing what you clean with, tips and the information is awesome. Keep it coming and thank you again!
Sugins Corner H
Just wanted to let you know that I tried your formula and it worked so well. I too have asthma so using the commercial products with lye and all of the other chemicals was not an option. I did overdo and used too much of the mixture, I now know I won't need to be that liberal with the mix, especially since it won't be such a chore, I won't wait so long to clean it. My daughter-in-law was a military wife and I've heard about those inspections ;-( Again thanks so much!
I am happy it worked good for you and you are more than welcome.
Very informative video. I never knew you could remove the oven door and also the retainer to remove the glass...Excellent information.
+MyIdeas , thank you for the kind words. Once I learned everything I new I had to make a video to show others. Cleaning the oven is not fun, but the more information you have the better.
+MyIdeas I would love any before and after pictures!
Wow, this has been a great video. I'm going to use this method this week to clean all my kitchen appliances . Thank you so much.
You are welcome I look forward to hearing how it worked for you.
thank the man electrician for showing me the fan replacement procedure for cannon electric cooker fan, exactly what l needed ,bless him.
Kenneth Mason is there a video to help others?
Thanks for the ingredients and instructions. The Dawn Liquid detergent made a difference ! I really appreciate your time showing us. Thank you GOD Bless you
You are very welcome! I love before and after pictures if you wanted to share any. I also love any tips or tricks you have with cleaning. Thank you for leaving a comment.
WOW!!!! Looks awesome!! i did not know that they inspect your homes on base!
Yeah, the base gives you a clean home and they wants a clean home when we move out. I used to pay to have someone clean my oven. Now I learned how to clean to pass inspection and I had to share with others.
great tips!! Thank you!!
Oh, yeah..this is what I need! Thanks guys for sharing your easy techniques :) I started to clean the oven yesterday and it's not done yet until now..Lol!
rhonz bolilan happy it worked for you. It make take some time to clean it good, it is worth it in the end.
Best oven cleaner I have ever used. Thanks 😀
Aida bacarese-morgan You are welcome. Happy to hear you like it.
Wow I'm am trying that TODAY thank you so much youtubers really do help others out
You are more than welcome, I would love before and after pictures.
I'm sorry I forgot to take a before picture but it really got my oven clean like I love it and I don't have to worry about chemical's baking into me and my family food thank you again and if you have a microwave cleaner I would love to see a video on it
That is ok, after pictures are nice also.
The most disappointing oven cleaners mixed the reactive ingredients of vinegar and baking soda.
This combo creates a reactions that cancel out the cleaning power of both ingredients. (Read more in Green Cleaning Ingredients That You Should Never Mix.)
you are making cleaning the oven fun and easy!!! Thank you :)
Can't wait to try this! We are pcsing to Germany this July, and I will definitely be using this for our final with housing =)
Thank you so much, this worked like a charm! It worked as well or better than commercial cleaners.
rogneid you are very welcome.
Thanks for sharing! Will put solution on tonight and clean it tomorrow.
I love u flower lady
Lisa Tay
Sounds like you tried it and it worked for you too! Love ya too :)
You have inspired me to tackle the one thing I have been putting off! Thank you! :)
You are welcome, happy to have helped inspire you. I would love before and after pictures. Looking forward to hearing how it worked for you.
Just FYI, mixing vinegar and baking soda makes salt water. You can probably just leave out the vinegar and make the paste with soap and baking soda
Don Gemus Exactly. Add water instead.
Don Gemus Actually it makes Sodium Acetate.
Lawrence Brown Sodium acetate is a salt.
Matthew Domer yes that is true, and I did think about adding that to my reply, but is not the salt that most people think of as salt Potassium Cyanide is also a salt but you wouldn't want it on your chips!
But the Dawn helps with the build on grease removal
I just tried this - it is amazing!! Thank you!
Thank for comment and happy it worked for you.
I miss being overseas. Great video!!
I am NOT Martha Stewart at all - and even I could follow this one. I can't wait to dig in and try all of this.
Thank you Christina McCale I look forward to hearing how this worked for you. I always love before and after pictures.
My kinda lady- awesome tutorial
Your are welcome and thank you for the kind words.
Soak oven racks in NapiSan - laundry tub in hot water overnight. No harsh scrubbing necessary. Rinse off and done!
Thank you so much for this recipe, living with Lymphoma Cancer, my Doctor has advised me to use all natural cleaning products and I'm also trying to find natural Body and beauty products which is hard in Australia especially as I don't know what to look for.
You are very welcome Trish Hanrahan I am happy to help. I will say an extra pray for your health.
FYI. you can remove oven door by tilting open slightly and lifting it up on both sides. It makes cleaning the oven much easier.
Great tip!
This worked really well and was fairly quick! Thanks for the help!
You are welcome!
Awesome tips. Can't wait to try this on my oven in my oven.
+Christina Rutherford thank you the feed back. Just a reminder there will be a lot of bubbles. I love before and after pictures. Looking forward to hearing back on how it worked for you.
I like your video because you really get a good amount on there.
Thank you for the kind words. Remember to read the extra tips I have below the video.
+Poppy Pocket Thank you for kind comments. I new I was not the only person with this problem. Happy to have helped.
I have a lot of great tips on my FB page Facebook dot com / toxinfreebaby
Your oven looks great, thanks for sharing!
Dawn is awesome!
Yes, it is!
If you make it a bit thicker and leave it on all day or over night you won't have to scrub :)
You had a good point on Ashma, no chems means safer and still effective. Baking soda is a miracle by God for us Ladies lol.
Best video I've seen. Thank you so so much!!
Sylvia Torres You are more than welcome. If there are things DIY things you would like to know or other videos please let me know and I will do my best to find what works.. or like I have done in the past make my own. I always love before and after pictures.
Yah the bottle brush idea worked thank you I did the vinegar and bi carb and it worked as well so I'm happy :-)
Awesome! Happy to hear. Now were are the before and after pictures. lol
Didn't take a before pick sorry
Thank you for sharing this information. I also cleaned my foundation make up brush with it.
+mwalter79 . You are welcome and thank you for giving another example of how this cleaner can be used other ways.
hey thanks a lot, plus love the cupboards
You are welcome and thank you , I like adding a little extra to my kitchen cupboards helps it feel more loving.
Wow thank you so much, was just about time to clean mine and I found your video 😊 So very helpful!
You are welcome Harris Cluddy. I look forward to hearing how it worked for you and seeing before and after pictures. I have been told my many if you let it sit over night on the tough spots they can just be wiped out the next day easy. I look forward to before and after pictures.
This is Awsome ! I'm gonna see if someone will help me remove the door & seal .
+Laura Sanderson Happy to have helped.
Same when I add borax to washer, especially with my husband work clothes.
smart now I have to get a friend to do all the scrubing the hard work.
dominatorX I am truly blessed with wonderful friends. Look forward to seeing before and after pictures of your oven.
good stuff, mama 👌
I do love the cleaning formula, but I'm wondering: I have an autocleaning oven, could I try to use your cleaner over it? Thank you for sharing!
I would recommend reading over the manual because I am not sure how your auto cleaning works on your oven. I had one long ago never used it. I would just clean my oven by hand and not turn on the auto clean. Not sure if this really helps. I look forward to hearing how everything worked out for you.
Thank you!
Love it Sugin! Miss ya and Germany!!
Would love some before and after pictures.
Awesome Angela I will have to try that.
Its even used to cleanSea Birds covered in oil slick residue
It shouldn't have taken 3 tries .. she shouldn't have used vinegar..
The most disappointing oven cleaners mixed the reactive ingredients of vinegar and baking soda.
This combo creates a reactions that cancel out the cleaning power of both ingredients. (Read more in Green Cleaning Ingredients That You Should Never Mix.)
Hi im going to try this over the weekend but am i right in saying you have Catalytic Liners in your oven?
Hi I am in the UK and we don`t get the dawn detergent, what is it? A fabric conditioner? Dishwasher detergent? Washing up Liquid? and not sure if we can get baking soda but will check.
It is a brand of liquid dish soap
TheAnjie24 baking soda is bicarbonate of soda here in UK and I used fairy liquid
Couldn't see but were you able to get all the brown grease stains out?
This has been the worst oven cleaning experience for me. I followed the directions and after much wiping/rinsing I thought I was done. Once everything dried though I had white baking soda residue and clumps everywhere. When I tried to wipe again everything just suds up. I've been wiping it out 2- 3 times a day for several days now and I still can't get it all out (and it's still very sudsy). It also didn't seem to make a noticeable difference in the stuck on grease which has made my whole experience that much more frustrating. Do you have any tips for getting this stuff wiped out of the oven?
I will try this on my oven
Thank you for your reply, much appreciated.
What do you use the leftovers for?
What kind of a brush did you use, please?
+austin skidgel (zombiegamer) I used a sponge , steel wool pad and sometimes longer kitchen brush you can find in most stores.
I use the same combination of ingredients and use it for cleaning my shower stall and tub, oo la la.
cc cookie Awesome. It is great to hear what other items we can clean with these simple ingredients. It also works great to clean outdoor grills.
Hi Sugins.. I'm just wondering what You would recommend instead of Dawn soap as I don't live in the u.s Thanks.
mary madigan You can use any good dish soap. I use Dawn for few reason I am not allergic to it , it is great on grease and it is save for the environment. I know they have other great brands dish soap in other country's, I just don't know any. I hope this answer your question Mary? I look forward to hearing back and seeing before and after pictures.
Amazing!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing this.
Mags Nash You are welcome and happy it helped
How would this work on a really dirty bbq grill? It's in pretty bad shape and easy off didnt do much to it.
I have had a lot of positive feed back on people use my cleaning recipes to clean bbq grills and the grout between the tiles. I would love to have before and after pictures plus your feedback on what you think.
didn't know you can take all of that apart. thx
Most stoves you can even take the knobs.
Does it have to be dawn original all I see is every other kind
It can be any kind, I did use original.
Sugins Corner thanks:)
Does it have to be Dawn dish liquid? as I can't seem to find any in my area... haven't seen it in the shops for a long time.
