“Super Earth? More like Stinky Earth” - Automaton Trooper #19261747482 approximately 4 seconds before being shot in the face with a Liberator Assault Rifle
It’s theorized the automatons we’re created by the Cyborgs as a last ditch effort to get revenge against Super Earth. The cyborgs were a faction in Helldivers 1 and we’re canonically wiped out. Like culturally genocided all gone. There are some cyborgs left but they are either in hiding or possibly heavily monitored working as engineers for Super Earth. So it would make sense that a hate for all humanity is what they would program into the automatons. And also specifically the military group responsible for their defeat.
Tbh, it very well might given how well we handled their last push. Even with the mechs and the new warbond stuff coming up, I can't see how we hold all that territory from them. Sooner or later they'll be at out doorstep.

Imagine having so much hatred for a nation, that in a last ditch effort you create a self-replicating AI automaton army, that will never cease to fight your war long after you're gone.
What i love about this is everyone trying to figure out the lyrics but if you read people's versions and listen they all sound exactly what you just read. Example the last sounds in the chant either is them saying "on to war" or "automatons". Hell it could be both.
@@sigfridKKPdefinitely could be lol. Because instead of hearing on to war or automatons now I hear them saying get back up helldiver scum. Who ever made there chant is a genius.
I think different parts use different techniques. on to war and automatons probably use a mix/overlay of the two sounds so you hear what you want to but other parts are more or less distinct entirely on their own. Listening to it multiple times on my headphones I don't hear "can't keep her down." I hear "can't keep us down." But with a warble on the us. Making it kind of sound like "can't keep hess down." This reminds me of the way we talk in rural Oregon, running words with few syllables like keep and us together. Turning them into something like keephus.
*I'd like to posit my own interpretation of their cadence:* CYBERSTAN, CAN'T KEEP HER DOWN, CREEK HELD OUT, UNTIL DAWN. *Those clankers are mocking us, Helldiver.*

“At first, the chants terrified me. I didn’t think they could feel anything. But the longer I heard it, the more I understood their hate. And as I lost more and more of my brothers, I began to chant something of my own. I want them to know: the feeling is fucking mutual.”
First time I tried being stealthy on automaton infested planet and heard patrol singing it I actually almost shat a brick. But Liberty and Democracy kept my bug hole closed.
I'm imagining like, hiding in a ditch in a thick fog, covered in mud, thinking you and your team were going to be ambushing a small patrol element. They approach, you hear their march hear their chants, and as they get closer, it sounds like there's more of them than you thought. You start to see the glow of their eyes piercing the fog. They start to pass right between you and your squad, not noticing anyone, but even as hey pass? The sound of their marching, their chanting, keeps going, slowly growing louder, with more feet, with more voices, more eyes appearing through the distant fog, and it just... keeps going... and going... and going. You aren't ambushing the small patrol you through you were ambushing. You laid down in the path of an entire army. All you can do is lie there, still, silent, listening, knowing that if you make a sound, if they notice you, there'll be nothing you can do. *You've* found death. You must now pray that *it* doesn't find *you*.

So they are like the necrons from 40K? But it seems like they blended in all their people in the same mind because you can hear male and female voices in there.
The actual lyrics are this (as confirmed by devs on their tumblr page) Heart. Steel. We. Kill. Get. Up. Onto War Heart. Steel. We. Kill. Get. Up. Onto War. Cyberstan. Can't keep her down. Legion Go. A New Dawn. Cyberstan. Can't keep her down. Get Back Up. A New Dawn.
I loved the automatons in the first game their flesh mashed with steel was reminiscent of daemon engines from warhammer 40k but now they're just full robot and they're like badass terminators now
the automatons from the first game were actually different, they were cyborgs. Super Earth defeated them and basically imprisoned them on a planet to work for them. They created the automatons to get back at Super Earth, and refer to the automatons as their "children"
Если с музыкой слушать, то не смотря на музыку, все равно какое-то чувство просыпается тревожное. Как по мне это чувство мощи и страха. Честно, с первого фильма Терминатор такого не чувствовал. Мощно.

My personal favorite interpretation of the lyrics I've seen floating around: HEART! STEEL! WE! KILL! GET UP! ON TO WAR! CYBERSTAN! CAN'T KEEP HER DOWN! LEGION GO! ONTO DAWN!
My rendition: [Capitol words spoken by commanders (commissars I think). Lowercase is the others, bold for all. @@Piratejoe44 I am really not sure, but then the little troopers would only sing the “-stan” part. That said, it would make more sense when they say “Can’t keep HER down.”
I think the officer is singing the cyberstan choruses alone. The grunts are continuing the same cadence. If you watch their chest you can see their timing never changes. They seem to only repeat "kill, steel, up, on to war" while their drill Sargeant does the chorus. It kind of reminds me of the airborne ranger marching cadence.
I don't play this game and know very little about it, but I can imagine an army of Terminator style robots marching in perfect unison. An enemy with no personality or individuality, which knows neither fear nor mercy, and cannot be reasoned with. If one of them sees you, they all see you, because there is no "one", they are all as one. This type of enemy would be a nightmare to deal with using stealth. Take one down, and its absence is noticed _immediately._ And again, if one spots you, they all do. Even if you shut down their wifi access point, they'll all immediately know something is up, and so will the rest of the robot empire when that one base falls off the network. If you think about it, something like this really would be a terrifying enemy. Diplomacy won't work, subterfuge won't work, the only thing actually effective is overwhelming firepower. And logistics. If anything, logistics might be their weak point, as individual units are likely incapable of functioning independently. Sever their connecting to friend computer and they become nothing but inert bricks of steel and silicone. Of course, friend computer still knows it lost the connection and will send more units to investigate. And as we've already established, stealth and subterfuge won't work, so attacking their logistics falls back to overwhelming firepower.
Oddly enough what you thought of is basically the opposite with them having their own personality and do sometimes even show fear and even take in prisoners and if one of them sees you they don't all see you yet of course they all lothe the helldivers
Like the guy above said they do have a personality, the reason they exist is litteraly because their ancestor, the cyborgs fought for the liberty of automatons, but they lost, reduced to slaves on cyberstan (an actual planet on the valdis sector), they're probably trying to avenge them or accomplish the goal of their ancestor of having a free will and being able to live without fighting those brainwashed helldiv-
@@ultimatecultchaos That actually sounds a little disappointing, but I'm sure there's other lore around them that makes them interesting. Based on another comment I read on this video, it sounds like they're not actually robots, but cyborgs that leaned more heavily into their mechanical side, so I suppose it does make sense after all. Is there any chance of diplomacy, or is the world of Helldivers as grim as the 41st millennium?
@@Greywander87in the events of the first Helldivers game the cyborgs of Cyberstan were forced i to servitude after losing the forst glaactic war. @@Greywander87No chance of peace lol. Super earth 🌎 wants to conquer the known universe. The democracy officer has a line that says the automatons sealed their fate. And a training manual tip for hell divers says to “shoot any enemy attempting diplomacy! We can’t fall for their lies!” 😂
Might be wrong but here's my take on the lyrics: LOCK - STEP WE - KILL HUNT - THEM ON TO WAR (2x) CY-BER-STAN CAN'T KEEP HER DOWN GET BACK UP ON TO WAR HEART OF STEEL CAN'T KEEP HER DOWN GET BACK UP ON TO WAR [repeats endlessly] Then at 0:14 I hear "HU-MAN SCUM", 1:14 I'm getting "YOU CAN'T LEAVE, HELL-DI-VER SCUM", and at 2:12 I hear "THE END OF THE BLOODLINE, THEY COME"
I love the dozens of interpretations of this, it adds variety without repetition to something like this. I feel like the bit of the chant is **Diver SCUM.** **Can't keep us DOWN** **Keep movING** **On TO WAR**
It seems to be made like one of those shorts that can be heard as different things depending on what you're expecting. Because I'm hearing CYBERSTAN CAN'T KEEP HER DOWN WE COUNT DOWN ON TO WAR
There is clearly words like HEART STEEL LEGION SCUM and I can kind of hear FAR TO GO and the occasional background voice sound like it’s saying THE ORDER CANNOT IT HELP and a bunch of static then DIE TIME TO DIE WE KILL some static and DIVER SCUM TORTUGA? or something like that THE SAME WAY WE ??? LIVE WE’LL GIVE YOU ITS GONE FOR static and random things TIME FOR ??? ORTUGA? WE ???? THE NIGHT ?high pitched squealing? I WILL BURY ?robotic gargling? ?another language? I AM ONTO WAR ???? No these arent the Cyborgs, they were made by the Cyborgs either as a failsafe during the first war or after the first war. Ingame you can find the planet Cyberstan which is the homeland of the Cyborgs and where the actual Cyborgs are currently enslaved by Super Earth. It is presumed by Automaton movements seen ingame that the Automatons are moving towards Cyberstan. Presumebly to liberate the Cyborgs, their creators.
Thats actually a cool af idea,Though would have to fleshed out a lot because you kill well above 100 bots per mission and on higher difficulties hulks are spammed like mad crazy

Learning and singing this song back to the Automatons as you retire them for recycling is a power move Helldivers, and not treason! Do so for Super Earth and may every day where managed Democracy is spread be indeed a blessed day!
Since they seem to sing songs of Cyberstan, and since the way they're currently moving looks to be a mad dash North to Cyberstan, imagine if they free those cyborg terrorists, and then we have to fight cyborgs using automaton infantry? Or what if that's ALREADY what it is, the bots are just frontliners while cyborgs are the ones pulling the strings.
Shoutout to our FEARLESS freedom fighters who willingly dive into automaton territory to spread democracy while constantly outnumbered without complaint! #SupportOurDivers
They retook the Creek a few days ago. I didnt spend as much time there as some of the older divers, but I don't think I'll ever get it out of my head- that goddamn chanting, the red eyes in the dark, shining through the underbrush. The fire and the screaming... now super earth has its eyes on Troost, says that the bots are planning something big there. I can't help but think that the Creek might have just been a taste of what's coming our way now...
First time I heard it I was playing with a level 40 something.. "I was like... Dude are the fucking singing?" His response was " ahhh rookies... Don't piss yourself now." All in all it was terrifying .. something about Terminator analogs terrify me to my core..
@MrAuger-bf2dd They got enslaved by Super Earth, and what's happening currently is the equivalent of a slave uprising, for all intents and purposes. Not even really an exaggeration this is just. Yeah.
Sounds like a great way to kill the game early. Seriously we all know how gamers are: everyone will start playing as the bots cuz they're scary and more formidable, the handful of helldiver players eventually get tired of it, and the game dies.
These are cool and all, but does anyone remember the scary cyborgs? Maniac laughter of the Butchers. The Hulks having giant shields. And who could forget (if you played HD1) The Warlords. Terrifying things.

Making it kind of sound like "can't keep hess down."

They approach, you hear their march hear their chants, and as they get closer, it sounds like there's more of them than you thought. You start to see the glow of their eyes piercing the fog. They start to pass right between you and your squad, not noticing anyone, but even as hey pass? The sound of their marching, their chanting, keeps going, slowly growing louder, with more feet, with more voices, more eyes appearing through the distant fog, and it just... keeps going... and going... and going.

@@Piratejoe44 I am really not sure, but then the little troopers would only sing the “-stan” part. That said, it would make more sense when they say “Can’t keep HER down.”
I can hear most of it, pretty cool!
The background voice is more interesting because it actually says sentences
The cadence they use for marching sold me on them. The most interesting enemy of Super Earth by far... So far.
'divers fear nothing but a job undone.
...but when im hiding in a malevelon ditch? when half the squad is dead? when this is echoing in the trees?
its enough to make you wish for a big marine named camouflage.

The bots really are an enemy you love fighting, they're so badass.
Bro this is awesome, shoutout to whoever created those Automatons.
Id love to salvage some parts from these guys, the patriot exosuit could use a sheild... or maybe some swords... so many options
Thats actually a cool af idea,Though would have to fleshed out a lot because you kill well above 100 bots per mission and on higher difficulties hulks are spammed like mad crazy
Give me heat shielding and a big sword to 1v1 that flamer hulk
I want an armor set that replaces your Helldiver's left arm with a berserkers' chainsaw. That would go so hard against the bots
Liberating parts from the bots, nice idea
^^ it's a fair guess that we're likely to get some Exosuit variants in future
it has a new stratagem type, Vehicle, so we're definitely getting more vehicles at some point at least
A variant with idk, heavy autocannon, and directional energy shield would be cool i think
They literally have the same symbol bro
@@MultiFloopi I know, I'm just wondering if Human cyborgs will start appearing in their ranks when the devs make them reach Cyberstan.
@@bagel5833 bosses exist in the first game so i wouldnt be surprised if we meet a cyborg survivor boss whose going to try and take back cyberstan
This is fire 🫰🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤖🤖
BLESSED BE THE PURITY OF STEEL GLORY TO CYBERSTAN
Shoutout to our FEARLESS freedom fighters who willingly dive into automaton territory to spread democracy while constantly outnumbered without complaint! #SupportOurDivers
Keep singing wire head, it’ll the second to last thing going through your head when we meet on The Creek.
Turn corner, devastator looks at me and says in the deepest pitch ever: "Scum."
Solidified effort against the bots.
Every time I beat a creek mission I almost “scum” if ya know what I mean 😏
They retook the Creek a few days ago. I didnt spend as much time there as some of the older divers, but I don't think I'll ever get it out of my head- that goddamn chanting, the red eyes in the dark, shining through the underbrush. The fire and the screaming... now super earth has its eyes on Troost, says that the bots are planning something big there. I can't help but think that the Creek might have just been a taste of what's coming our way now...
First time I heard it I was playing with a level 40 something.. "I was like... Dude are the fucking singing?"
His response was " ahhh rookies... Don't piss yourself now."
All in all it was terrifying .. something about Terminator analogs terrify me to my core..
I love these guys, its sad what happened to them..
Unfortunately that wont stop me from reducing them to salvage.
Well what did happen to them
@@Kano_Productions a skill issue
@MrAuger-bf2dd They got enslaved by Super Earth, and what's happening currently is the equivalent of a slave uprising, for all intents and purposes. Not even really an exaggeration this is just. Yeah.
@reeses7839 Is that an automoton sympathizer I hear?
*this message was sponsored by Super Earth Government*
Socialist sympathizers. Reported.
Can't wait for the day that the tesla bots walk the streets chanting this
If they ever actually walk
When that day comes you can bet I’ll be joining the Helldivers to preserve our democracy
I'm secretly an automaton sympathiser
You're not very good at keeping secrets citizen. Please report to your democracy officer immediately.
@@MootacooNuh uh.
@@MootacooI fled to cyberstan, you will never catch me
@@tuvlord cyberstan is currently under super earth control. A representative from the ministry of truth will visit you shortly.
Super Earth fascists can strike me down, but the revolution is eternal.
Man I hope the rumors are true of them adding a way to change sides, totally joining the automatons
Sounds like a great way to kill the game early. Seriously we all know how gamers are: everyone will start playing as the bots cuz they're scary and more formidable, the handful of helldiver players eventually get tired of it, and the game dies.
I swear I can see their eyes in the snow.
These are cool and all, but does anyone remember the scary cyborgs?
Maniac laughter of the Butchers.
The Hulks having giant shields.
And who could forget (if you played HD1)
The Warlords. Terrifying things.
the tanks man, the tanks...
Thank you for this motivation, I am now operating at 99.9 efficiency
This is horrendous... I love it
The CIS droid army in star wars wishes that they were as badass as the automatons.
i just noticed how progressively loud the chanting gets each time it repeats
really adds to the "endless march" part
