It's also the aim assist isn't as strong. My nephews tried the older CoDs and couldn't hit a barn door. Aim assist for the last few CoD games has reduced their ability to aim with sticks.
There's only 2 things from cod i want in this game, Team deathmatch and kill cams. That's it, Other than that the game is perfect aside from the jump spam and (rarely) jank hit reg
The game should reward more objective players. I always end up being the 1st in objective points but 4/5 in the scoreboard because I don't rush looking for kills (20/25 max per game)

XDefiant is great but it’s unfortunate that you have to play with a party if you want to actually win consistently. COD has fried the brains of FPS players where they think that their K/D matters in an objective based game.
True, I only play solo on XDefiant, but earlier today I was playing escort and we were almost at the point and my teammate killed 4 of them and didn’t push the point and it took us another minute and a half to get it. Like the only objective of this mode is to push the point.😂

You have just spoken everything I've been thinking 😂 I've got a duo I play this game with almost every night and the teammates not playing objective is our biggest gripe. Not gonna lie, I’m loving Xdef. This is the old school cod players time to shine especially if they have kept their chops up through cod. I can almost guarantee they’re absolutely shitting on people every game and finishing towards the top 90% of the time.
If Xdefiant wants people to care more about the objective. They need to give more XP towards objective play. Capturing a flag or defending a hard point should give you more weapon XP versus kills.

I don’t understand how people say that sbmm is secretly in xdefiant. the sbmm in cod was so strict I could predict what kind of match I would have before I even saw the next lobby I never know what to expect from my team or the enemy team in a match on xdefiant I get sweats flying across my screen at light speed but I also just ran around using only a 1911 and went positive for like 3 games in a row

Objective xp doesn’t count towards your weapon. The best solution is to count that xp towards your weapon. People have realized this and don’t play objective anymore
Yeah this would be nice, like if I am focused on leveling a weapon and getting gold I am mostly prioritizing kills over the obj. Granted I do try to help out with the obj anyways, but it's' far from my focus. Honestly really wish we had tdm, I know it's coming. But would make leveling weapons easier in the sense I wouldn't feel so bad ignoring obj lmao.
Things you love to see!! COD SBMM can be such a bad influence BT! I've had some bad FPS habits in COD which might’ve cost me. But SBMM was protecting me with easy lobbies. I'm now trying to improve myself here and hoping to get better
I think my only major complaint right now is it feels like the cheat prevention and detection is crumbling. I just had a hame a couple hours ago with a person by the ign of DMA.40 who was literally flying across the map aim hacking. I reported him but I have no clue if anything will be done about it with no form of feedback report. He could still be in games terrorizing other people. It really takes the game away from the 11 other people in the lobby if one person is hacking their ass off like that, since the enemy team doesn't get to exist on the map and the rest of their team may as well not be there since they don't get to do anything.
yeap had 2 games in a row where I came across the same cheater they had like 2 deaths and 72 kills which at first I was like "meh they could just be better ig" But then my teammates started to notice that yeah... he's cheating How we noticed is he killed 3 people shooting at him within a literal second somehow Without a killcam it's really hard to know when someone is cheating I want casual to have killcams
I love this RUclips channel. Not because of the XDefiant support, but because it feels like a throwback to old school videos before demonetization. It’s honest and doesn’t care what toes are stepped on. Call of Duty’s greed has pissed me off for years.
I just don't understand how there are people who apparently are fps enthusiasts and can downtalk something like Xdefiant coming along. This game is what the genre needed. This is the honest back to basics approach with no coddling sbmm. I'd rather know that my shots don't work here and there because of a hit reg issue than know they aren't working because I didn't buy the new snoop dog bundle but my opponent did. Eomm can get wrecked.
People this days have a strong with us or against us mentality. If there is something they do not enjoy they will shit on it no matter what and wish it to die out, whether it's a game or anything also, even if some people enjoy it. I hate fortnite, but I don't go around the internet, wishing for its death. I just ignore it, let the kids have it if they really like it.

The fact that you can actually speak directly to the executive producer, no sbmm, and ping is king matchmaking is in fact something special in today's fps scene. One of the biggest reasons I quit COD was because I was getting tired of playing objective based game modes and running in point b or c and clearing out like 4 people to die to the fifth only to watch my teammates mount on head glitches or lay on the ground on a snipe spot close to our spawn while I run back in to the point to clear out half the team only to die again and then watch my teammates sitting in the same spot the last time I spawned. Same with hardpoint. I love hardpoint maybe my favorite mode to play but man It fucking sucks when you get a team of people that are playing like it's hardcore TDM. Like why the fuck even play an objective mode if you don't even touch the objective the whole game?
@OzkanArac No I don't play xdefiant either because I just have too many other games that are actually fun to play in my backlog and I don't have time to grind out a new shooter game. But I am sure the mentality of "gotta get a bunch of kills and keep my K/D high" mentality that a large chunk of COD players have is going to bleed into the Xdefiant community because the people that play COD and shooters are naturally going to be drawn to a shooter like Xdefiant.
@OzkanArac I never played CoD. But I played a lot of overwatch and team fortress 2. Whenever I see an objective, I capture or escort it. It's not always only the child's fault they ended up as a bad person, sometimes it's the parents fault too.
I don't think anyone's being paid by the company and I dislike the game. I just think it's a less interesting version of Call of Duty with just as many problems if not more. I get why people enjoy the game though. Just not for me. I prefer having SBMM because I'm awful at shooters. I'm losing 90%+ of my games and my teammates were constantly messaging me/screaming at me to play better. Since they were on an entirely separate skill level to me, I felt like I couldn't have a good time especially due to all the trash talk against me by my own team. In the games where I wasn't being talked down to, I felt bad because I knew I was making my team lose and could provide very little help. I think I may have had 2 or 3 positive games and the other 100 were 0.5 and below. I honestly find the XDefiant defender crowd to be just as annoying as the hating crowd.
I saw you posted part of the second gameplay from Arena on Twitter. It's frustrating when nobody focuses on the Objective. Even in modes like Occupy, it's common to see only 2-3 players attempting to capture the zone while others prioritize achieving a high 4.5 K/D Ratio. Unfortunately, this approach often leads to defeat. In a game of Escort on the Showdown map, an amusement park-themed one, I encountered someone urging the team to reach the robot, yet we still lost. Upon checking the leaderboard at the end, I noticed they had accumulated 58 kills and 12 deaths but only scored 200 points for the objective. In contrast, I may have had fewer kills, around 20-30, but I actively contributed by advancing towards the objective, utilizing my abilities and grenades to support the team. It seemed that individual was solely focused on getting kills without effectively aiding the team in securing victory.
A big reason people won't play objective is because objective score doesn't count towards your gun only kills and assists get xp for your guns so people aren't playing objective because the xp doesn't count towards their guns. Very frustrating.
Try Bloodstrike to see just how terrible you are (the game does have SBMM). You can install either a PC version or mobile version which is like official version.

I just like thay xdefiant not putting degenerate flags in the game. That gives me a good idea that the devs do care about the game, the immersion and don't want to divide the playerbase.
I am very grateful to xdefiant for being a game that brought back something that already established games like COD or Fortnite for some reason ruined, and it is an online experience with pure random players, no bots, no sbmm, none of those things that they implement to Give yourself points for participating, this experience is pure and tough. Even if they ruin it in the future, at least for a while we had fresh air with a popular game that had decent online.
One of my favorite things about XD is the factions....but I'd just go back to the Splinter Cell games or Ghost Recon....a multiplayer only game is kinda fun but gets boring waaaay too fast
@OzkanArac um, no. I don't even look in CoD direction, couldn't care less about talking shit about that game because I was never interested in it. XD on the other hand I am freaking loving, my favorite PvP games since the golden age of overwatch.
You briefly touched on something I think is downright depressing about how COD's yearly cycle has destroyed the legs/lifespan of countless amazing CODs, literally some of the greatest shooters ever. My favorite COD montage is a PC promod montage Mazarini and paradox : Play With Soul from 2010. I watch it now and think about how vastly superior that gameplay looks to any CounterStrike, Valorant, Siege, or any current popular shooter on the market. The foundations of the "vintage" CODs far exceeds that of almost any shooter game ever made (COD4 for example is mechanically leagues above that of CounterStrike, CS is a barebones game from the late 90s basically), and in an alternate reality, maybe those games have some seasonal awards, competitive playlists, etc.. whatever it takes to keep large playerbase around for years like CounterStrike has done, because we have effectively lost some of the best multiplayer games ever made to time.....But back to xDefiant...if it can stay around for years and doesn't mess anything up, we might have gotten the next best thing.

It's just a form of progression, GoW3(Xbox360), Titanfall 2, The Finals, The Battlefield Franchise (i think 3 and on), even DBD had something like it before they reworked the prestige system for the game. and more games I can't think of off the top of my head. Camos don't immediately make it "like CoD" I don't play XDef, so i mean, eh, Arcade Shooters aren't exactly my go-to anymore, but that one feature doesn't immediately mean it's more like CoD. I finally got around to playing XDefiant today, and I haven't touched CoD and played it seriously since 2017, and I have to be honest with myself. I had a fun time playing the game. I agree that the weapon leveling is really slow and could be much faster, and that it's insanely annoying when teammates don't play OBJ. Other than that, I had a great time. Unfortunately, some of my friends can't play this game or aren't playing it at all. So I'm kinda stuck to playing by myself. I consider myself as a CoD hater. I haven't had the feeling of wanting to play it in over half a decade. So I'm kinda glad I have an FPS game I don't mind wanting to play more of. I hope the future of this game is great.

I want to love this game. Really do. Love the concept. I am in the unlucky population that 7/10 of my games are filled with poor hit detection, dying around corners, or literally getting hitmarkers on people that don't seem to register any damage. It makes gunfights in most of my games feel like an absolute toss up at all times. Been playing FPS games since COD4 and a consistent 2 k/d player across all titles, before I get riddled with "skill issue" comments. Hopeful when the netcode updates come, that I can enjoy this title.

in the newer modern warfare 2 something I noticed was when you capped a flag that xp counted towards your weapon leveling and that definitely motivated me to cap more flags
0:55 - SMBB is in the game though, it's in the "welcome playlist" for levels 1-25, and they explicitly mention that this playlist and only this playlist has SBMM. SBMM isn't a problem itself, it's how it's implemented.
Really love your videos, mate.. What I really notice in XDefiant is that the game doesn't reward objective-focused players much.. Sometimes I match-best games regarding objectives, but those with higher kills always end up being at the top of the leader board. On the other side, I remember playing Battlefield 1 and be at the top for being good playing objective-focused even when my K/D is not that good.

I find escort is the only mode where anyone pays attention to the objective, I guess due to the design of the mode it's basically impossible to ignore it.
I really enjoy watching BT have fun with a game again. XDefiant really opened my eyes to just how blind COD had made me when it came to how DOG SHIT the game really is. Love BT, Love XDefiant.
I think a great way to incentivize Obj play is that 2000xp you get for a win applies to all your weapons. That way, they don't have to tone down the current xp to level a gun because you can level all of them at once, but only if you win.

ALL they have to do to remedy the objective incentive for players is to have OBJECTIVE XP give you WEAPON XP… the game currently gives ZERO incentive to play objectives OTHER THAN TO WIN… Because so many are still leveling weapons, they likely only care about that, and since objective xp gives you literally NO weapon xp, that’s why there’s such low incentive.

I'm still only level 8 but I've gone from being the worst player every game to being around the middle of the scoreboard and actually going positive on some matches. So I'm not thrilled to hear cod-brained players are coming over to the game and playing it like it's COD. I agree with your suggestions for the game. I think you should tweet them at Xdefiant devs cause it seems like they're actually listening. I'm pretty sure faster weapon leveling is already coming with the next season. Dipping back into CoD here & there the past few years I thought I was rusty at first but I always played like trash; but after a few rounds of XDefiant, a few early wins, it felt like all of my old MWoriginal & classic Black Ops skills were reawakened. I'm a big fan of XDefiant!
The fact they have tons of content coming in the next year. Its refreshing. And on top of the content , theyre listening to the communities needs and wants. I'm with you as a single player. At 36 with a family, it's not easy to get friends together at the same time. I like the idea of incentives for playing the objectives
First day being unable to play at least an hour since launch and i was genuinely a bit peeved. The moment you realize a team is just gonna curb stomp you and bum rushes you at your spawn and puts up shields, guns your team down at the sight of the white in their eyes, really put me back at bo2 days spawn trapping on nuketown and just having overall map control. Sbmm curated wins and losses to keep everyone at 1 k/d is just utter insanity to stay, play and eat shit thinking it’s chocolate cake.
Been loving XDefiant and the only issues are some balancing changes (snipers should not be able to keep you held at spawn for the entire match, or kill in you in the foot) and of course the hit registration. I'm hoping they get something for incentives for playing objective because I do my best to cover for those and push when I'm the last one. I like my one man army playstyle on objectives, like those epic fight scenarios.
First real patch coming next week fixing sniper flinch, adjusting bunny hopping, adjusting screen shake from grenades and doing the first new improvements to the netcode/hitreg since launch

To touch on the objective double EXP, maybe just have it so while you are in the objective, double EXP is active until you leave the zone, that would be awesome!
A couple of things, for me issues with the hit rez happens way too often and it is extremely frustrating but besides that, I think a 25% increase on weapon xp for kills as default plus bonus as you stated would make the grind a bit better. I know you said that you're not getting into weapon balancing but the shotguns are dog water, one thing COD does right is that if one pellet from the shotgun hits, a base damage is applied, and then each additional pellet adds to the damage. In X it doesn't seem like that same mechanic is there and I think it would improve the Shotguns a lot.

I got my first top of the score board yesterday just because I was playing the objective….my kills 7 for 21 deaths …3 team mates using sniper rifles, this usually tells they won’t be going for the objective. My kills are usually around the 10 mark with my deaths are an average 25+ 😁….because I just play the objective. When I watch BT’s games and then play my games..it’s like night and day 😳…all I ever get is bunny-hopping quick scoping sweats🤬🤬. I shoot a player and usually nothing will happen to them other than they turn and one shot me…I’ve shot players in the back with nearly a full clip and nothing happened. I shot one player three times in the back with a shotgun he just turned around and one shot me! I stopped using that peashooter. I shoot at someone and I get ganged banged from all directions…I could go on and on 😔

I've got a duo I play this game with almost every night and the teammates not playing objective is our biggest gripe. Couldn't have said it better myself. If Xdefiant wants people to care more about the objective. They need to give more XP towards objective play. Capturing a flag or defending a hard point should give you more weapon XP versus kills.

I don’t understand how people say that sbmm is secretly in xdefiant. the sbmm in cod was so strict I could predict what kind of match I would have before I even saw the next lobby I never know what to expect from my team or the enemy team in a match on xdefiant I get sweats flying across my screen at light speed but I also just ran around using only a 1911 and went positive for like 3 games in a row

Objective xp doesn’t count towards your weapon. The best solution is to count that xp towards your weapon. People have realized this and don’t play objective anymore
This would make leveling up weapons much better, and also give incentives for OBJ play.
Yeah this would be nice, like if I am focused on leveling a weapon and getting gold I am mostly prioritizing kills over the obj. Granted I do try to help out with the obj anyways, but it's' far from my focus.

Things you love to see!! COD SBMM can be such a bad influence BT! I've had some bad FPS habits in COD which might’ve cost me. But SBMM was protecting me with easy lobbies. I'm now trying to improve myself here and hoping to get better
I think my only major complaint right now is it feels like the cheat prevention and detection is crumbling. I just had a hame a couple hours ago with a person by the ign of DMA.40 who was literally flying across the map aim hacking. I reported him but I have no clue if anything will be done about it with no form of feedback report. He could still be in games terrorizing other people. It really takes the game away from the 11 other people in the lobby if one person is hacking their ass off like that, since the enemy team doesn't get to exist on the map and the rest of their team may as well not be there since they don't get to do anything.

This is the honest back to basics approach with no coddling sbmm. I'd rather know that my shots don't work here and there because of a hit reg issue than know they aren't working because I didn't buy the new snoop dog bundle but my opponent did. Eomm can get wrecked.
People this days have a strong with us or against us mentality. If there is something they do not enjoy they will shit on it no matter what and wish it to die out, whether it's a game or anything also, even if some people enjoy it. I hate fortnite, but I don't go around the internet, wishing for its death. I just ignore it, let the kids have it if they really like it.

One of the biggest reasons I quit COD was because I was getting tired of playing objective based game modes and running in point b or c and clearing out like 4 people to die to the fifth only to watch my teammates mount on head glitches or lay on the ground on a snipe spot close to our spawn while I run back in to the point to clear out half the team only to die again and then watch my teammates sitting in the same spot the last time I spawned. Same with hardpoint. I love hardpoint maybe my favorite mode to play but man It fucking sucks when you get a team of people that are playing like it's hardcore TDM. Like why the fuck even play an objective mode if you don't even touch the objective the whole game?
@OzkanArac No I don't play xdefiant either because I just have too many other games that are actually fun to play in my backlog and I don't have time to grind out a new shooter game. But I am sure the mentality of "gotta get a bunch of kills and keep my K/D high" mentality that a large chunk of COD players have is going to bleed into the Xdefiant community because the people that play COD and shooters are naturally going to be drawn to a shooter like Xdefiant.
@OzkanArac I never played CoD. But I played a lot of overwatch and team fortress 2. Whenever I see an objective, I capture or escort it. It's not always only the child's fault they ended up as a bad person, sometimes it's the parents fault too.

I don't think anyone's being paid by the company and I dislike the game. I just think it's a less interesting version of Call of Duty with just as many problems if not more. I get why people enjoy the game though. Just not for me. I prefer having SBMM because I'm awful at shooters. I'm losing 90%+ of my games and my teammates were constantly messaging me/screaming at me to play better. Since they were on an entirely separate skill level to me, I felt like I couldn't have a good time especially due to all the trash talk against me by my own team. In the games where I wasn't being talked down to, I felt bad because I knew I was making my team lose and could provide very little help. I think I may have had 2 or 3 positive games and the other 100 were 0.5 and below. I honestly find the XDefiant defender crowd to be just as annoying as the hating crowd.

I saw you posted part of the second gameplay from Arena on Twitter. It's frustrating when nobody focuses on the Objective. Even in modes like Occupy, it's common to see only 2-3 players attempting to capture the zone while others prioritize achieving a high 4.5 K/D Ratio. Unfortunately, this approach often leads to defeat. In a game of Escort on the Showdown map, an amusement park-themed one, I encountered someone urging the team to reach the robot, yet we still lost. Upon checking the leaderboard at the end, I noticed they had accumulated 58 kills and 12 deaths but only scored 200 points for the objective. In contrast, I may have had fewer kills, around 20-30, but I actively contributed by advancing towards the objective, utilizing my abilities and grenades to support the team. It seemed that individual was solely focused on getting kills without effectively aiding the team in securing victory.

A big reason people won't play objective is because objective score doesn't count towards your gun only kills and assists get xp for your guns so people aren't playing objective because the xp doesn't count towards their guns. Very frustrating.

I just like thay xdefiant not putting degenerate flags in the game. That gives me a good idea that the devs do care about the game, the immersion and don't want to divide the playerbase.
This is from the same publisher that just announced a Black "Samurai" as the main character in AC Shadows... give it time.
I am very grateful to xdefiant for being a game that brought back something that already established games like COD or Fortnite for some reason ruined, and it is an online experience with pure random players, no bots, no sbmm, none of those things that they implement to Give yourself points for participating, this experience is pure and tough.
Even if they ruin it in the future, at least for a while we had fresh air with a popular game that had decent online.

You briefly touched on something I think is downright depressing about how COD's yearly cycle has destroyed the legs/lifespan of countless amazing CODs, literally some of the greatest shooters ever. My favorite COD montage is a PC promod montage Mazarini and paradox : Play With Soul from 2010. I watch it now and think about how vastly superior that gameplay looks to any CounterStrike, Valorant, Siege, or any current popular shooter on the market. The foundations of the "vintage" CODs far exceeds that of almost any shooter game ever made (COD4 for example is mechanically leagues above that of CounterStrike, CS is a barebones game from the late 90s basically), and in an alternate reality, maybe those games have some seasonal awards, competitive playlists, etc.. whatever it takes to keep large playerbase around for years like CounterStrike has done, because we have effectively lost some of the best multiplayer games ever made to time.....But back to xDefiant...if it can stay around for years and doesn't mess anything up, we might have gotten the next best thing.

It's just a form of progression, GoW3(Xbox360), Titanfall 2, The Finals, The Battlefield Franchise (i think 3 and on), even DBD had something like it before they reworked the prestige system for the game. and more games I can't think of off the top of my head. Camos don't immediately make it "like CoD" I don't play XDef, so i mean, eh, Arcade Shooters aren't exactly my go-to anymore, but that one feature doesn't immediately mean it's more like CoD.

I finally got around to playing XDefiant today, and I haven't touched CoD and played it seriously since 2017, and I have to be honest with myself. I had a fun time playing the game. I agree that the weapon leveling is really slow and could be much faster, and that it's insanely annoying when teammates don't play OBJ. Other than that, I had a great time. Unfortunately, some of my friends can't play this game or aren't playing it at all. So I'm kinda stuck to playing by myself.
I consider myself as a CoD hater. I haven't had the feeling of wanting to play it in over half a decade. So I'm kinda glad I have an FPS game I don't mind wanting to play more of. I hope the future of this game is great.

I want to love this game. Really do. Love the concept. I am in the unlucky population that 7/10 of my games are filled with poor hit detection, dying around corners, or literally getting hitmarkers on people that don't seem to register any damage. It makes gunfights in most of my games feel like an absolute toss up at all times. Been playing FPS games since COD4 and a consistent 2 k/d player across all titles, before I get riddled with "skill issue" comments. Hopeful when the netcode updates come, that I can enjoy this title.

in the newer modern warfare 2 something I noticed was when you capped a flag that xp counted towards your weapon leveling and that definitely motivated me to cap more flags

0:55 - SMBB is in the game though, it's in the "welcome playlist" for levels 1-25, and they explicitly mention that this playlist and only this playlist has SBMM.
SBMM isn't a problem itself, it's how it's implemented.
Really love your videos, mate.. What I really notice in XDefiant is that the game doesn't reward objective-focused players much.. Sometimes I match-best games regarding objectives, but those with higher kills always end up being at the top of the leader board. On the other side, I remember playing Battlefield 1 and be at the top for being good playing objective-focused even when my K/D is not that good.

I find escort is the only mode where anyone pays attention to the objective, I guess due to the design of the mode it's basically impossible to ignore it.
I really enjoy watching BT have fun with a game again. XDefiant really opened my eyes to just how blind COD had made me when it came to how DOG SHIT the game really is. Love BT, Love XDefiant.
I think a great way to incentivize Obj play is that 2000xp you get for a win applies to all your weapons.
That way, they don't have to tone down the current xp to level a gun because you can level all of them at once, but only if you win.

ALL they have to do to remedy the objective incentive for players is to have OBJECTIVE XP give you WEAPON XP… the game currently gives ZERO incentive to play objectives OTHER THAN TO WIN…
Because so many are still leveling weapons, they likely only care about that, and since objective xp gives you literally NO weapon xp, that’s why there’s such low incentive.

The game is fun. I'm still only level 8 but I've gone from being the worst player every game to being around the middle of the scoreboard and actually going positive on some matches. I obviously have tons to improve on but that's a good thing. Thankfully I'm still playing matches where people play the objective. Which is so refreshing to see. So I'm not thrilled to hear cod-brained players are coming over to the game and playing it like it's COD.
I agree with your suggestions for the game. I think you should tweet them at Xdefiant devs cause it seems like they're actually listening. I'm pretty sure faster weapon leveling is already coming with the next season. I truly think the game is gonna keep getting better and I actually feel excited about an fps game for the first time in a few years.

I'm with you as a single player. At 36 with a family, it's not easy to get friends together at the same time. I like the idea of incentives for playing the objectives
First day being unable to play at least an hour since launch and i was genuinely a bit peeved. The moment you realize a team is just gonna curb stomp you and bum rushes you at your spawn and puts up shields, guns your team down at the sight of the white in their eyes, really put me back at bo2 days spawn trapping on nuketown and just having overall map control. Sbmm curated wins and losses to keep everyone at 1 k/d is just utter insanity to stay, play and eat shit thinking it’s chocolate cake.

Been loving XDefiant and the only issues are some balancing changes (snipers should not be able to keep you held at spawn for the entire match, or kill in you in the foot) and of course the hit registration. I'm hoping they get something for incentives for playing objective because I do my best to cover for those and push when I'm the last one. I like my one man army playstyle on objectives, like those epic fight scenarios.
First real patch coming next week fixing sniper flinch, adjusting bunny hopping, adjusting screen shake from grenades and doing the first new improvements to the netcode/hitreg since launch

To touch on the objective double EXP, maybe just have it so while you are in the objective, double EXP is active until you leave the zone, that would be awesome!
A couple of things, for me issues with the hit rez happens way too often and it is extremely frustrating but besides that, I think a 25% increase on weapon xp for kills as default plus bonus as you stated would make the grind a bit better. I know you said that you're not getting into weapon balancing but the shotguns are dog water, one thing COD does right is that if one pellet from the shotgun hits, a base damage is applied, and then each additional pellet adds to the damage. In X it doesn't seem like that same mechanic is there and I think it would improve the Shotguns a lot.

I got my first top of the score board yesterday just because I was playing the objective….my kills 7 for 21 deaths …3 team mates using sniper rifles, this usually tells they won’t be going for the objective.
My kills are usually around the 10 mark with my deaths are an average 25+ 😁….because I just play the objective.
When I watch BT’s games and then play my games..it’s like night and day 😳…all I ever get is bunny-hopping quick scoping sweats🤬🤬.
I shoot a player and usually nothing will happen to them other than they turn and one shot me…I’ve shot players in the back with nearly a full clip and nothing happened.
I shot one player three times in the back with a shotgun he just turned around and one shot me! I stopped using that peashooter.
