I’m glad you have something that takes you back to your roots and passion. I hate CoD now but it is only because I actually love it so much. I’m passionate about the series. Started in BO1 and I spent almost half my life playing CoD (31 years old) and finally stopped like 2 years ago with BO4 year 4 lol. People just don’t get me and think it is just a game. Yes it is just a game at surface level but it has done so much more for me than that and has deep roots in my life. Why make something artistic or fun when you can make a lot of money instead, right? The prevailing mentality of these companies. They have to hit rock bottom to understand.
The main issue also is that the devs who put that level of passion move away from the big studios now because the issues that come with large studios. Bureaucracy, miss management, and if they go public. Pleasing the investors. Which suchs because the devs stuck at those big studios have passion but it's snuffed out to have them make a product to get the best profits.

Nah you can tell this isn't shill talk, you seem genuinely invested in the game, which is awesome. I've been having a blast with it too. This is the first shooter in years that I feel like I can casually jump on, play a few matches, then leave and do or play something else, and just have a little fun every day with. Recen CoD's felt like a chore, that you have to set aside time for, not the least because matchmaking takes ten minutes lol.
I have no issue with people playing this game but this game being compared to old cod is absolutely ridiculous. Old cod DID NOT have Wallhacks, bubble shields and invisibility power ups. It’s honestly sad this is how poor of a state gaming is in for 2024. This game is actual doo doo
I have a friend who truth be told sucks at shooters but he's og bo1 player and everytime we play this game its brings him and me back to the 360 days. I hope this game sticks around because I'm tired of cod and feeling like a fucken test subject lol
What is fucking funny about that is that I had players on my team that have gone like 36-8 with at most 75 objective points and we lose the game. K/D doesn't get wins, not even close.
I love the fact that youre uploading videos every day. To see other people as excited for XDefiant as I am is awesome. I am having a blast playing it. It's a true throwback to the glory days of COD. The fact that we are getting an organic experience & knowing that our gameplay isn't being manipulated is a breath of fresh air.
I appreciate your perspective on the game. Honestly, I was overly critical of the game at first, and didn't approach it from a fair mindset. After spending a good chunk of hours in it since launch, I've come to love the game. I haven't played CoD since 2019, and haven't thoroughly enjoyed a CoD since BO2 (didn't play BO3 that much due to life). When it comes to XDefiant, I love almost everything about the game, and I respect the developer communication and direction for the game. And one thing I really love about the game is I won't need to buy a different version of it next year. I would rather sink more money into a good game over time than buy an iterative release of the same title every single year. I'll probably give BO6 a shot, but XD seems like a title I can come back to if I venture off somewhere else. BO6 will likely be a binge and quit forever experience like almost every CoD I've played since BO2.
Getting player of the game in xdefiant feels so fucking good, and I never feel that way in other games because of matchmaking. In most games you buy a skin, because you want the skin. In this game, i buy in-game currency as a sort of thank you, and then wait for a skin(or other cosmetic) I like to come by

I said it in that tips and tricks video you released shortly after the game came out that it felt like we were back in the old days here on the channel, and I'm not even playing the game. I haven't played a multiplayer shooter in years, basically since I started the job I'm in but your recent videos have almost convinced me to give it a shot.
I wasnt lucky enough to have internet growing up but I remember playing GoW at my cousins house and it was soo fun, and going over to my friends house to play black ops 1 and 2 after school.
16 mins in and I can relate hard as hell bro. Recently life has put me thru a series of tests and I’m on the tail end of those more rigorous ones and it’s forced me to rise to the occasion and be the best version of myself I can be and my fire is relit 100%. Life feels exciting again and I’m looking forward to so much. Cheers to us catching that spark again.

It's so nice to see BT this excited about Xdefiant! Even though I didn't grow up with cod 4 when it came out I did play it in my teen years like someone in the 2000s and it sucks that I never got to play it's mp in it's heyday. However, Xdefiant has given me like this taste on what it was like and I'm appreciative of that.
I have so many of the same feelings as you towards this game. I actually hated it through the beta testing because i couldn't get my controls figured out. now that i did though i find myself getting that "1 more game" feeling, which i havent felt in such a long time with fps games. It's also nice to feel like im good at a game again.

I’m glad you made this video because I feel the same. I used to love gaming and would play for hours. However, for the past few years i barely touched video games. Especially with multiplayer shooters. X defiant has made me get back into gaming. For the first time in years, I have throughly enjoyed an fps and it takes me back to when I was in Middle school playing Bo2 for hours with my friends.
You've hit the nail on the head brother. I quit CoD back in 2017 after WW2 and have been boycotting the franchise since. I then mostly stuck to single player games from that point. I was always happy to keep playing and I'm going to continue to do so, but I remember being younger and being happy to have CoD as something to play in-between the next new game I was gonna play. I didn't have that anymore because, CoD was garbage, Fortnite and BR games weren't my thing, and no other online game really captured my interest besides an occasional fighting game every now and then. Now that I have XDefiant to play, I can switch between this, new games to come out in the future, and Elden Ring DLC. For the first time in seemingly a decade, I'm finally excited about an FPS. I go out of my way to look for more info and videos about the game. Which is something I haven't done since BO3. I'm loving this game and I'm gonna keep playing more of it.
I didn’t play Call of Duty 4 when it first came out as I was WAY too young at the time, but just like with you and Nero, it was my first ever entry into the series back when I first played it in 2012 and while it was a crazy adjustment for me, it was an adjustment that I enjoyed. The Campaign is one of the best in the entire series and the Multiplayer (in my opinion anyway) is THE BEST Multiplayer we’ve ever had in CoD. Period! The Campaign has some of the best and most replayably fun and enjoyable missions in the entire series and that Multiplayer was FILLED to the brim with incredible innovations, some of which have been lost to time. But it was so basic and simple that it made the game more easier to pick up and play without making you feel like it’s holding your hand all of the time. With all the great memories I have made with that game over the years and with the things I hear from you and Nero about your experiences with that game dating all the way back to when it first came out, it truly makes me wish that I could go back to 2007 and not be a 5-year old kid but instead be an adult and experience the greatness that I missed out on all of those years ago…
I gave this another swing after a week off of it. Got a 7 game win streak, then lost it to a very close game on domination. I'm still playing it and having fun playing as a medic class. Now I think about this game in a good way and I think I'll keep on playing it as long as it remains as fun as it's been. The only complaint I have is the Escort game mode. Every single time thus far my team mates haven't bothered with the objective until the game announces that there's only 30 seconds left.
I totally agree, BO3 was the last COD I genuinely enjoyed and played well over 100 days. XDefiant brought my love for FPS back. XDefiant is the COD I've been waiting for
I've followed you for about two years and thought you've been pretty honest regarding Call of Duty. But overhyping XDefiant to this extent genuinely makes me question your integrity. It's one thing to like a game and wanting it to succeed but XDefiant is legitimately mediocre in every respect. Saying it's going to kill CoD and is one of the best games you have ever played is going far beyond copium. Especially since it can't even pull numbers on Twitch anymore and it hasn't even been out for a month yet. It strikes me as being completely dishonest and just hoping to get in on the ground floor to get on top of content creation for a niche game so you don't have to cover a series that you hate anymore.
I'm with ya, absolutely loving this game. I play many other competitive shooters but this one has super crept up on me. Like you, I stopped playing COD games since BOP2. This game feels so damn good to the point I've stopped playing those other games. Even with the new patch last night, they done good and didn't over tweak things. A very level-headed approach by the Dev's and Rubin as the head is a very solid start here. Also, you B-roll gameplay of you are getting better and better at the game! Actual growth in a video game is rare nowadays.

The last cod i bought was cold war. While good at times, the sbmm, bugs and crashes ruined my experience. I havent bought the last 3 cods since theyre all the same to me and watching your videos since modern doorfare 2019 helped me get disillusioned from COD as a whole. Thanks man. Really appreciate it. BLOPS 6 is 70$, will have SBMM and will only receive support for like a year at best before the player numbers dip massively because of the next COD. Xdefiant is free and will receive continuous updates for years to come.

I haven't played many online shooters after a long time and tried to come back to call of duty with 2019, big mistake. I had almost just given up, but this game is amazing. The way you feel and like XDefiant, is basically how I felt when I switched from Cod to a Battlefield main. I played BF1 in 2016/17 but MWR and WW2 those back to back years kept me on Cod, but with Bo4 and MW19 back to back being complete garbage, glad I switched to BF5. Even now, 2042 might be the worst BF game in the series, but I get more enjoyment from that game than any of the recent Cods, though I do like Cold War but the rest I cannot stand. I miss the simplicity of 2010s games, from the general game design, to the content, to the matchmaking.. all just so much better than the shit we recieve now. I just want that back.

I don't comment on your videos but have been watching since I was a teenager. When you mentioned the golden era, halo 3 & GOW... man it took me back. That's when gaming had a sense of community and fun. Getting on after school, joining a huge forge lobby in halo where some maniac made a warthog race course in the air with other players trying to destroy you with banshees lmao. Playing gears and just witnessing the bodily destruction you could commit, CHAINSAW DUELS...man what a time it was to be alive. I'm 28 now and gaming to me has just been as stale as corn chips. I’m not too dissimilar to you, my first shooter was probably Timesplitters 2 back on the PS2, I was also an avid GoW, Halo 3 & CoD 4 player. CoD has been hit & miss over the years for me personally but Cold War was the final straw & I will probably never buy another one. XDefiant is definitely a return to form in the best way possible, I’m in no way the best player but for the first time in years today me & a team of randoms made a 4 stack on the other team rage quit a game of Dom. I am in my mid forties and have been gaming 35+ years, and have played all CoD games up to MW2, but half way into MW2 I dropped out and MW3 (DLC) is the only CoD I don´t have. Because in MW2 i drop out midway because of the hacking problem, and all of the security risk that Activision did not get patch and the lack of being transparent/patch things i was fed up to the point where i quit, and not looking back. After Xdefiant came out, what a breath of fresh air i must say and the transparent by Mark and the team is something that CoD deeply could learn from (And no i don´t get paid by Xdefiant to say this) but i have now again a FPS game I enjoy to play. Keep it up Blame Truth, and nice to be on a channel where the truth does not lie.

Black Ops 3 is my favorite Call Of Duty because of the movement and being able to feel like i can freely move around the maps in Xdefiant gives me the same feeling. Obviously its not the same but i love the movement in xdefiant.
First time commenting on one of your videos, I really enjoyed it. Talking about the 360 era brought me back as well. First ever game I played was Halo3, I remember me and a few friends were over at my house and my dad suddenly left the house. I never asked for an xbox but he came back 30 minutes or so later and came back with an xbox, we were all surprised. Me and my friends started playing Halo3 custom matches. One of my friends knew how to set all that up but it was surreal. This was my first time playing an FPS game and I still remember the first game we played was on the map Sandtrap.
xdefiant is a good game but it feels like something is missing (killstreaks). I feel like the game won't last more than a year without them implementing some cool factor like being on a big kill streak to work for, and using those to destroy the enemy team. Only guns will get boring and stale.
If killstreaks are added, everyone will camp, no one will play the objective, and the game will be ruined. Your ultra ability is essential a kill/score streak.

I’m still learning XDefiant as a player. I was used to the swing of COD of having a good match or two then getting shit on for two hours then swing back to a good match. With XD, I feel like it’s more fair and an unaltered experience and it’s pretty fun even when you lose, because more often than not, it’s a close match. Glad that XD has got you fired up BT! I enjoy the videos.

This is the first shooter in years that I feel like I can casually jump on, play a few matches, then leave and do or play something else, and just have a little fun every day with. Recen CoD's felt like a chore, that you have to set aside time for, not the least because matchmaking takes ten minutes lol.

I appreciate your perspective on the game. Honestly, I was overly critical of the game at first, and didn't approach it from a fair mindset. After spending a good chunk of hours in it since launch, I've come to love the game. I haven't played CoD since 2019, and haven't thoroughly enjoyed a CoD since BO2 (didn't play BO3 that much due to life). When it comes to XDefiant, I love almost everything about the game, and I respect the developer communication and direction for the game. And one thing I really love about the game is I won't need to buy a different version of it next year. I would rather sink more money into a good game over time than buy an iterative release of the same title every single year. I'll probably give BO6 a shot, but XD seems like a title I can come back to if I venture off somewhere else. BO6 will likely be a binge and quit forever experience like almost every CoD I've played since BO2.
Getting player of the game in xdefiant feels so fucking good, and I never feel that way in other games because of matchmaking. In most games you buy a skin, because you want the skin. In this game, i buy in-game currency as a sort of thank you, and then wait for a skin(or other cosmetic) I like to come by
XDefiant and R6, they have the greatest feelings when getting mvp, it just feels so good

I said it in that tips and tricks video you released shortly after the game came out that it felt like we were back in the old days here on the channel, and I'm not even playing the game. I haven't played a multiplayer shooter in years, basically since I started the job I'm in but your recent videos have almost convinced me to give it a shot.
I wasnt lucky enough to have internet growing up but I remember playing GoW at my cousins house and it was soo fun, and going over to my friends house to play black ops 1 and 2 after school.
16 mins in and I can relate hard as hell bro. Recently life has put me thru a series of tests and I’m on the tail end of those more rigorous ones and it’s forced me to rise to the occasion and be the best version of myself I can be and my fire is relit 100%.
Life feels exciting again and I’m looking forward to so much.

Even though I didn't grow up with cod 4 when it came out I did play it in my teen years like someone in the 2000s and it sucks that I never got to play it's mp in it's heyday. However, Xdefiant has given me like this taste on what it was like and I'm appreciative of that.
I have so many of the same feelings as you towards this game. I actually hated it through the beta testing because i couldn't get my controls figured out. now that i did though i find myself getting that "1 more game" feeling, which i havent felt in such a long time with fps games. It's also nice to feel like im good at a game again.

I feel you bro. Started playing FPS on Halo 2 and Medal of Honor way back and its been years since I was actually excited to sit down and play something. Xdefiant is great because it captures what made me love the genre in the first place.

My first shooter was golden eye on N64 and my buddy and I starting playing Red faction 2. My gaming really changed after playing COD 4. I’m glad you made this video because I feel the same. I used to love gaming and would play for hours. However, for the past few years i barely touched video games. Especially with multiplayer shooters. X defiant has made me get back into gaming. For the first time in years, I have throughly enjoyed an fps and it takes me back to when I was in Middle school playing Bo2 for hours with my friends.
You've hit the nail on the head brother. I quit CoD back in 2017 after WW2 and have been boycotting the franchise since. I then mostly stuck to single player games from that point. I was always happy to keep playing and I'm going to continue to do so, but I remember being younger and being happy to have CoD as something to play in-between the next new game I was gonna play. I didn't have that anymore because, CoD was garbage, Fortnite and BR games weren't my thing, and no other online game really captured my interest besides an occasional fighting game every now and then. Now that I have XDefiant to play, I can switch between this, new games to come out in the future, and Elden Ring DLC.
For the first time in seemingly a decade, I'm finally excited about an FPS. I go out of my way to look for more info and videos about the game. Which is something I haven't done since BO3. I'm loving this game and I'm gonna keep playing more of it.
I didn’t play Call of Duty 4 when it first came out as I was WAY too young at the time, but just like with you and Nero, it was my first ever entry into the series back when I first played it in 2012 and while it was a crazy adjustment for me, it was an adjustment that I enjoyed. The Campaign is one of the best in the entire series and the Multiplayer (in my opinion anyway) is THE BEST Multiplayer we’ve ever had in CoD. Period! The Campaign has some of the best and most replayably fun and enjoyable missions in the entire series and that Multiplayer was FILLED to the brim with incredible innovations, some of which have been lost to time. But it was so basic and simple that it made the game more easier to pick up and play without making you feel like it’s holding your hand all of the time.
With all the great memories I have made with that game over the years and with the things I hear from you and Nero about your experiences with that game dating all the way back to when it first came out, it truly makes me wish that I could go back to 2007 and not be a 5-year old kid but instead be an adult and experience the greatness that I missed out on all of those years ago…

I gave this another swing after a week off of it. Got a 7 game win streak, then lost it to a very close game on domination. I'm still playing it and having fun playing as a medic class. Now I think about this game in a good way and I think I'll keep on playing it as long as it remains as fun as it's been.
The only complaint I have is the Escort game mode. Every single time thus far my team mates haven't bothered with the objective until the game announces that there's only 30 seconds left.
Yeah the escort game mode is a blast if you're playing with friends. But my solo q experience has also had some very rough games lol

I've followed you for about two years and thought you've been pretty honest regarding Call of Duty. But overhyping XDefiant to this extent genuinely makes me question your integrity. It's one thing to like a game and wanting it to succeed but XDefiant is legitimately mediocre in every respect. Saying it's going to kill CoD and is one of the best games you have ever played is going far beyond copium. Especially since it can't even pull numbers on Twitch anymore and it hasn't even been out for a month yet. It strikes me as being completely dishonest and just hoping to get in on the ground floor to get on top of content creation for a niche game so you don't have to cover a series that you hate anymore.
I'm with ya, absolutely loving this game. I play many other competitive shooters but this one has super crept up on me. Like you, I stopped playing COD games since BOP2. This game feels so damn good to the point I've stopped playing those other games. Even with the new patch last night, they done good and didn't over tweak things. A very level-headed approach by the Dev's and Rubin as the head is a very solid start here. Also, you B-roll gameplay of you are getting better and better at the game! Actual growth in a video game is rare nowadays.

BLOPS 6 is 70$, will have SBMM and will only receive support for like a year at best before the player numbers dip massively because of the next COD. Xdefiant is free and will receive continuous updates for years to come.

I haven't played many online shooters after a long time and tried to come back to call of duty with 2019, big mistake. I had almost just given up, but this game is amazing. The way you feel and like XDefiant, is basically how I felt when I switched from Cod to a Battlefield main. I played BF1 in 2016/17 but MWR and WW2 those back to back years kept me on Cod, but with Bo4 and MW19 back to back being complete garbage, glad I switched to BF5. Even now, 2042 might be the worst BF game in the series, but I get more enjoyment from that game than any of the recent Cods, though I do like Cold War but the rest I cannot stand. I miss the simplicity of 2010s games, from the general game design, to the content, to the matchmaking.. all just so much better than the shit we recieve now. I just want that back.

I’m not too dissimilar to you, my first shooter was probably Timesplitters 2 back on the PS2, I was also an avid GoW, Halo 3 & CoD 4 player. CoD has been hit & miss over the years for me personally but Cold War was the final straw & I will probably never buy another one.

I am in my mid forties and have been gaming 35+ years, and have played all CoD games up to MW2, but half way into MW2 I dropped out and MW3 (DLC) is the only CoD I don´t have. Because in MW2 i drop out midway because of the hacking problem, and all of the security risk that Activision did not get patch and the lack of being transparent/patch things i was fed up to the point where i quit, and not looking back. After Xdefiant came out, what a breath of fresh air i must say and the transparent by Mark and the team is something that CoD deeply could learn from (And no i don´t get paid by Xdefiant to say this) but i have now again a FPS game I enjoy to play. Keep it up Blame Truth, and nice to be on a channel where the truth does not lie.

Black Ops 3 is my favorite Call Of Duty because of the movement and being able to feel like i can freely move around the maps in Xdefiant gives me the same feeling. Obviously its not the same but i love the movement in xdefiant.
First time commenting on one of your videos, I really enjoyed it. Talking about the 360 era brought me back as well. First ever game I played was Halo3, I remember me and a few friends were over at my house and my dad suddenly left the house. I never asked for an xbox but he came back 30 minutes or so later and came back with an xbox, we were all surprised. Me and my friends started playing Halo3 custom matches. One of my friends knew how to set all that up but it was surreal. This was my first time playing an FPS game and I still remember the first game we played was on the map Sandtrap.

xdefiant is a good game but it feels like something is missing (killstreaks). I feel like the game won't last more than a year without them implementing some cool factor like being on a big kill streak to work for, and using those to destroy the enemy team. Only guns will get boring and stale.
If killstreaks are added, everyone will camp, no one will play the objective, and the game will be ruined.
Your ultra ability is essential a kill/score streak.

I’m still learning XDefiant as a player. I was used to the swing of COD of having a good match or two then getting shit on for two hours then swing back to a good match. With XD, I feel like it’s more fair and an unaltered experience and it’s pretty fun even when you lose, because more often than not, it’s a close match.
