We had our first snow last night. I am rocking in my chair this morning, drinking my coffee, admiring the snow and watching your beautiful art come to life. Thank you.. Doesn't get any better than this....
Loved this also. A good mix media piece, very well done, learnt another few things as I'm only a beginner to all this so if I get something wrong you'll have to forgive me, 😊🇬🇧
You created a work of breathtaking beauty and subtlety... then you started lining everything in.. From a fellow sufferer who can never leave well enough alone.. please, let the subtlety stand. I love your work, but it's always better ten minutes before you put the brush down. I havnt managed to do this myself yet, so I know how hard it is when you are carried away in the moment, and this is only meant as encouragement to a talented artist. Hope you dont mind.
This is so beautiful!!! I got my box of deli papers you suggested. Thx for that. I'm excited to pull them out now. I've been using tissue paper I'm almost out of. I love these stencil video series! TFS and inspiring. Austin,TX USA
OMGoodness! This is so amazing! Even though I vow not to start winter holiday projects until after Thanksgiving, this makes me want to break my own rules.
Just beautiful! Am having trouble getting the Bakery parchment here in the UK as postage from USA is very expensive - but will try to get an alternative here.
I just found your channel. I love this series of mixed media art. I’m going to try it with Xmas cards. I have acrylic paint. I don’t think it’s gouache acrylic paint. So do you think this paint would still work. Do I need to maybe add a little water so it would be more fluid. And what really is the difference between acrylic and gouache acrylic paint. Thanks
Hi Shawn, thanks for another great set of videos. I would be interested in knowing how you store your leftover pieces of printed tissue/deli papers, I have a hard time using them as they get forgotten. Thanks and have a great Sunday!
Geesje, I put them together by color and use a large bull clip to hold them together and then hand them, so that I see them. I also have a change file on the wall that holds all my collage papers, again by color. hope this helps
I'm new here. I'm guessing that the paint is all acrylic...right? Is there a difference between the Fluid Mat Medium and Modge Podge? You seem to use it as one would use Modge Podge. Are those colored pencils you used on the bird and greenery, then chalk around the border of the frame? I know one of the pencils is charcoal.
All acrylic yes, and I use fluid matte medium, for the matte finish and the grit it allows. I've tried modge podge but it's to slick (even the matte). for charcoal, pastels and pencils. I'm using soft pastel pencils and charcoal pencil and then soft pastel sticks as well. Fluid matte medium is made to work with paint, I can use it for glazing to thin my paint without taking away the intensity. Thanks for watching
@@ShawnPetite Thank you for replying and clearing up some of my questions. I've been watching more of your videos and continuing to learn and I'm really enjoying watching them.

Do you seal it at the end? How does the pencil not smear? Thank you. Beautiful
I spray with a matte varnish
