I have an 8year old daughter. My issue with Nails, on top of what Ami was talking about, the breaking is very painful. That age the nails are still very fragile, it is very easy to completely loose a nail and not all nail injuries grow back. As well the buffing alone gives me anxiety. I suggest press ons just for that special occasion, like a birthday

I think when you turn 13 you can get acrylic for special occasions like I did but not till your older you get them done frequently

The nail bed isnt fully devolped at 10. It can cause permanent damage no matter how hood they are done. Please wait until after puberty please.

Growing the nail 1 or 2 mm long should be sufficient for ASMR but still be age appropriate. Getting french manicure nail polish makes the hands look clean and neat.
Doesn't need to be acrylic nails as they require buffering the nails (which does damage and makes them thin). Not the right thing to do, especially not for kids.

Apart from that you equalized long nails with growing up faster. That's not what I think. Longer nails don't make you grow up faster. They're just not appropriate for kids, because they're more active and more sensitive to pain. Kids can't take care as much as adults, so they might hurt themselves (or other people) with long nails, or they might break them while playing outside, that can rip a wound if you're unlucky.

Much too young for acrylic nails, they can damage your real nails, take it from someone who knows. A manicure with clear or pink polish would be okay ❤❤❤

Let her grow them out about 1/4” and see if she enjoys taking care of them like that. Paint them with clear or clear pink nail hardener.

I think they should get press ons because if you get acrylics and bang your nail on something it would really hurt and might take off your real nail I learned the hard way….
I let my daughter get hers done me and her went together she is 9. I told her if she likes them and takes care of them I’d do it again. It was fun for me and her to go together. Instead of acrylics you can get gel extensions what looks like acrylics, but are way healthier for the nail btw my mom is a nail tec and I’m 10 and I’m getting gel extensions tomorrow

My mom did allow me to get my nails done for my 10th birthday because I begged and begged and begged her lol. She finally said yes and I was so happy lol. They were super super short and I could only get shades of pink lol. I was a good kid and never caused any problems so I guess that’s why she finally said yes!

You can get glue on nail and it’s temporary and you can take it off anytime you want. It’s very inappropriate for younger kids way too young.
She can get press on nails because those are long but appropriate and if you break them off it won’t hurt are you need to do is add a little bit more nail glue and it’s easy to takeoff
