Nice, I was missing the planetfall videos.
I sill prefer how in Planetfall you can make your units feel unique, and even have 2 vastly different builds for the same unit thanks to mods, AoW4 even with all of it's tomes makes everything feel homogeneous
Love to see Planetfall again! To me, it is the most interesting version of the franchise.
The music in this game is so good. Thank you for introducing me to AoW. I'm actually playing the first AoW (which is very different from this or AoW4) and ideally I'd like to play every game in the series.

AoW4 is better in terms of customisation, you can play whatever faction you want from many universities... But I like Planetfall with prewritten silly lore on unit cards : D
@@KaiReel23 AoW 4 was a disappointment for me and I ended up refunding it. It just felt so...generic? It clearly worked and I'm happy for them though, since the game became very popular with the general fantasy audience, but it feels so soulless now without any cool unique enemies, encounters, or lore. I miss the lore, I loved reading those bits of text.
I'll probably re-buy it one day when it's bargain bin prices years from now, but I was so disappointed at how generic fantasy it was. The customization was cute but it also made things feel less unique and it felt like the fun quirks you had to learn with each faction/class were gone. So I refunded it and haven't looked back. I do enjoy a good Indrid video from time to time though!

@@mordororc3082 Fair take! I think both are definitely good games, AoW 4 just isn't as much a game for me as Planetfall and 3 (though 3 not having the quality of life of 4 makes it hard to go back to). I just miss my unit lore text :(

Hell yeah! I like the planetfall a bit more, it has this stagger mechanic, which I think is unique and cool.

Oh my... That's was eons i was waiting a comback on Planetfall, the best AoW game of the serie, and right in time i reached the second Assembly mission on the campaign, a pretty hard mission i should say!

Ah I thought you were done with Planetfall, glad to be wrong. It still remains my favorite AoW game atm, slightly above 4 and 3. The Assembly is my favorite faction too.

The NPC factions were my biggest pet peeve in Planetfall. I got so sick and tired of seeing entire AI stacks comprised of nothing but NPC units: even when they have the xenophobe trait. And it’s so detrimental to be at war with NPCs. The little perks to defeating attacks just don’t pay for the sheer inconvenience. And you have nothing else to spend influence on anyway.
Btw joining the invasion makes the game kinda too easy. I don't want to spoil it, since you haven't done that yet, but what I recommend is for you to make a separate save game before you join.

really good game, didnt like the fact that they have changed it to win10 or better which sux.
Great now I have to play planet fall again. Imo endless legends is better than AoW4
Planetfall is great, but colours in the game feel off, makes it unpleasant to play. Shame, because overall it does feel like a great improvement on many things.
