- Star violinist and composer André Rieu helped us to design this very special edition of Euromaxx, which is all about music. The "King of the Waltz" tells us why he loves to play waltzes and why music can make people happy. We even pay a visit to his own castle in Maastricht, The Netherlands. Im a senior citizen and i absolutely love Mr Andre' and his music and his wonderful orchestra family. He brings me happiness everyday as i listen to his music. I can only dream of some day getting to see him in person but i thank him and his orchestra for making me happy

His music just vibrates my brain..have only seen one live concert years ago ...but take in his summer show in his hometown in maastricht netherlands which are streamed at the Cineplex theatres later in the summer...unfortunately due to covid this year's summer concert was cancelled

Wonderful, just wonderful. I’ve no clue why this guy has been chastised like he has been by the hardcore classical music crowd, we owe this man so much and yes he makes good money doing what he does but it’s good old hard work that brings him that, he’s hardly leeching on classical like some make him out to be. You do you Andre, and I will be attending every concert I can for as long as I can. Damn the internet warriors, your eyes will be opened after attending one of his shows and I can say that with confidence.
After 'discovering' André's orchestral performances a few years ago, I described them to my friends as 'the happiest and best-dressed musicians since Spike Jones and his City Slickers'. They murdered music (and how!) and so does André at times, but I'm not complaining - tears of sadness, tears of joy, they are ever-present. It's pure pleasure all the way. ('Song of Olympia' at Brazil is a hoot, especially the small girl's reaction.) André is not only great fun, but an extremely generous man, witness his numerous RUclips uploads available for all to see, especially during this horrendous pandemic. Thank you, one and all, from Scotland.

I agree music is very theraputic. For example, I've seen it have such a quick & calming effect on a person whom was distressed & suffered from Dementia. Music is great for a person's sence of well being.
