Thank you so much for featuring my design! My work is Submission 3, and I really appreciate the valuable feedback you’ve shared. It’s great to see it highlighted on your channel! :)
After watching this video and seeing the final design, I realize that discussing design is easy but actually doing it yourself is a whole different challenge.
As a product designer, you should show the full page of your own entry too. After seeing yours, I don't really prefer it either, except for the color you chose, which suits Gen Z, but UX-wise, not so much.
Sir, how to choose between 3-4 skills? I'm confused and dropout because of health issues 😓 lot of confusion coding (web developer, app developer, data analyst) vs designer ( graphics designer,ui/ux designer, product designer, logo, thumbnail, book cover designer etc) vs writing-copywriter, content writer, blogging etc which is better? Which can be better for freelancing? Because I'm dropout and for jobs you need required qualifications, degree etc Can I get job without these? It is possible, or i need to do freelancing for lifetime? How to make career in freelancing, how convert it into a full time business? Please reply, guide 🙏🏻
@@shubham_M7777 bhai apko kya skill pasand aya he vho choose karo. Sab skills me paise he app skilled he tho . Koi bolega ea skill choose kiya tho vho apko pasand na aaya tho dikkat ho sakta he
Please please we need more and more of such review sessions, not necessarily paid freelancers designs, but these sessions are so insightful to learn how to think like a designer. and yes we need your version of design in detail.
After watching this video, I realized that I had underestimated myself all these days. I've been working with coaches and photographers who have been featured in VOGUE and they really liked my work and thanked me for the effort. I should start charging more.. (I charged around $1000 to 1500 per website and took around 1 to 2 months)
Heyy🙋♀️ i am also an UI UX DESIGNER. How is your design journey going? Happy to see an junior ui ux designer as me😊.. why not get connected through maybe linkedin , behance or may be instagram?
Sapta Bro, I would encourage you, to have the brief of the landing page, made available to all. That way. No matter what sort of a designer, someone is, they can learn to do something from themselves… I feel, you should add the brief in the pin comments.
In my opinion, many developers are shifting into UI design as a way to earn extra money. Most of the designers selected weren't fully dedicated to UI/UX design; they were either graphic designers with basic Figma skills or developers. This trend is increasing competition in the market, and as a result, skilled and dedicated UI/UX designers are being overshadowed by them.
Fr many of my colleague are developers but they are also doing designing as it is most needed skill in industry now and the worst thing is they don't even use any design software not even figma they just start developing and make design in their mind
@@Tanish.Agrawal most of the startups do the same. In my last company, I designed something, the changes are made directly in the code and the result is shit.
Can't agree more. The result is pretty evident on every recruitment place online where there used to be some 10's of applicants previously but now the count has rosen to 100's soon after a role has been posted. God knows how many of them are really deserved for the position
im actually very insecure about my work, may be my employees made me belive that, mostly because i learned uiuxby my self, never taken any paid class because what i wanted always in the internet. so i was saying that this video made me belive that my designs are not that bad. i always use variables , responsive , all the elements in figma. for me this this actually an inspirational video . thank you for that. ❤❤❤
Great work, Saptarshi! Your insights on UI/UX are super helpful, and your content keeps getting better. Looking forward to more awesome videos from you!
In your second design, there’s no sticky CTA, which you had mentioned would be included. Additionally, from my experience, not everyone has a developer’s eye to spot details like sticker cuts. In the first design, you used a sticker cut for the food image but not for the others, which feels inconsistent. It's one thing to evaluate a design, but another to judge the work itself-there's a fine line. Honestly, I learned something valuable today. Giving constructive feedback is helpful, but judgment isn’t always the best approach.
I absolutely loved this video! I have an idea: why not open a challenge for your followers to create some simple and fast designs for a homepage or something similar? You could review the designs, which would help us improve and learn more through an actual project.
Personally I'd encounter roadblocks designing UI for a brand that does NOT have a logo or identity defined already. UX is another matter and probably would be possible although this process isn't optimal. Love these Audit like breakdowns in UI/UX.
I would like to suggest you few things 1. I think you should made the teaser much smaller my be 20 sec 2. You would have given more information about the project you gave to the designers 3. Slightly improve your audio quality (the higher tone of your voice feels little louder) I think it would help you :)
My observation from this video is that nowadays, designers are becoming considered by how much resource of design and ui elements they represent and not the basic ux and ui principles.
Sapta we want to see more data heavy stuff, UX Saas or data heavy products. What's the mindset should be while designing those products. How should we even approach them.
really worth it video this is my first experience in this channel and guess what Now I am going to be a regular viewer of this channel because this channel will me to improve my skill
It’s concerning to see subpar design quality being offered at such high rates. Many freelance designers seem to lack a deep understanding of visual design principles, UX/UI best practices, and important design decisions. It raises questions about how they receive such favourable reviews and compensation when the work often feels like the bare minimum.
I wonder the same too! I was eager to see how would they tackle conversions and convey the value prop but I was really disheartened when I saw that their fundamentals itself are broken. They are gaming the system and pushing pixels for low-value, unaware clients. Sadly, the industry is now filled with such designers.
It's more about exposure. If u r more popular and highly rated, u can sell high. Great design is important but there are other factors that come to play as well
You’re spot on with everything you’ve reviewed. I would also like to add that the 3rd designer has copied few things from his previous designs or from community designs because of the colour differences and also the form has yellow colour in the Icon for agreeing terms and also the foodie logo in the mobile responsive design.
Okay, first one gave me some confidence and faith in myself, lol. I am trying to design my first ever website design and after seeing this I believe I'd do better than the first one.
Irony is your not a genZ and looking us from a 3rd person view and commenting. As a GenZ we dont need various pop up colours layouts animation and cool vibes like you described. Clean sophisticated simple and one highlight to attract is enough
Hi Sapta, I watched the entire video, and I found it very informative. However, I have one request: I would like to give it a shot myself. I will design the landing page for the influencer foodie meetup in Mumbai and share the design file with you for your review. I believe I can create something even better than the submissions you showcased in the video. Note for the audience: Design is subjective, and all the designs presented are commendable. Each design also has room for continuous improvement.
Again with such an in-depth critique of the designs. Absolutely loved this type of video Sapta and I hope we get to see these videos once in a while. Thanks for enlightening us with the color and typography knowledge and for the efforts you put into making this 🙌🔥
Bro, i don't know what stereotype you have of genz but i actually like simple websites better rather than flashy websites which are harder to watch and interpret.
Hey, I just wanted to say that everything in the videos was great, and I really liked all the points you mentioned! However, I'm a bit puzzled about the register button in the header and the hero banner. I’ve noticed that some big companies, like Headspace, do the same thing. I understand you’re enhancing user interaction in the UI, but I’m curious why they follow this trend. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Since we are seeing the whole site at first glance rather than the 'first fold " I liked the submission 2 - the figma style and those strips of register now. But yeah, as you said, maybe they were calling too much attention on everything around. @
bruh these are something i did 7 year ago and I'm not getting clients for 20k today -- now I am thinking why don't I put mydesigns on fiverr ... what the hell am I doing with my career!! if anyone DONT want to waste your money hiring AI image copy pasta wala designer, then I am here to work on your PROFESSIONAL project as a professional lol

fiverr is crap promoting sellers with mostly bad designs Please don't take my comment as rude but that's what I think about this platform. they should promote sellers based on the final approved designs from the clients and voting should be done by the designers.
Cant believe people are actually paying for this kind of unprofessionalism, no hate but the points you raised are the very basics of design principles and missing them while being a level 2 or even high rated designer just doesn't justify

fiverr has some criteria for all the lavels. to get a lavel a seller must full fill all the criteria. there is no switch on/off 😅
How in Figma do we do the register button that appears on scrolling only
One possible approach could be to change the header when the user scrolls.
