The way you packed up your old piano was heartfelt; the sadness came through clearly. As you sat in front of your new piano for the first time, showing the instrument and the moment proper respect by dressing formally, it showed how true an artist you are. It was a pleasure watching this, and I appreciate you letting us in.

“I follow a practice that I've done for about ten years.
I go through an actual daily practice of greeting the instrument, positioning myself with the instrument, paying attention to my posture, my breathing, the texture, the feeling of the instrument...
Sometimes that takes seconds, sometimes it takes five minutes. Just getting a physical-sensory connection.
The next thing is when I actually start playing, I don't lose that physical connection. To be completely aware of the sound that I'm playing and also what my feelings are about the sound of the instrument.
Just paying attention. I don't try to do anything about it necessarily, but I just play, letting it be there.
I might be playing an arpeggio or a melody, but basically the attention is on the sensory-emotional aspect of my playing.
And then I let it go.”

Welcome to the Shigeru Family Sangah! I've been away from your live performances for a while due to work pressures and the time-difference but I'm so happy for you getting your dream piano! I'm definitely going to make the inaugural live performance and I hope you will dress up for it just like you did for when you first played it. I recall about a year ago when I first discovered your channel (you had maybe 30k subs) and someone said they couldn't believe you weren't famous and you said, 'I know! It's crazy isn't it?!!!' LOL! I am not the one getting a new piano but I don't know why I am so happy that I am crying. It is like you have 'graduated' from Samick and now the new piano will accompany you in another chapter of your career to create more memories together.

YAAAYYYYY! Welcome to the Shigeru family!! You are going to LOVE your new piano (as I am sure you already do right now). You should let us know when the technician from Japan arrives to regulate and add the finishing touches to your instrument. When I got my Shigeru, I “think” my technician’s name was Mr. Otake if I remember correctly (...it has been some years back...I have an old card somewhere...). His service was amazing! Be sure to tell your technician exactly what type of sound texture you want from your instrument and you will get it. You are in for a treat!!!! I am truly excited for you!
