Good review as expected. Icing on the cake, the unexpected comparison between the Conti GT and the SG when I thought it’s gonna be like the SuperMeteor. Loved the Dodge Challenger’s mighty roar at 14:21 when you said the SG does the Interceptor’s job better than it. ♥️ Looking forward to the comprehensive review of the new Himalayan, having booked it. 😎
As always, a great analysis by Sarge, kudos !! Talking about fuel efficiency, i still feel 22kmpl is far less for this engine size. My 2015 Bonnie SE returns the same figures even being 67bhp and a far better ride. High time for RE to catch up on the engine refinement.
The state of tune is the same as the other variants but it has a different suspension setup and riding triangle, which makes it preferable in the range.
Another great review Sagar! According to your review you say that the shotgun would be a better pick and you had more fun in the corners with it compared to an Interceptor, but with the foot pegs scraping so badly on the shotgun will there be an option to eliminate that issue some how
The pegs scraped because Sarge was able to carry more speed and stability into the corner and get an even deeper lean angle . That's raising a glass to SG's and Sarge's capabilities. It's not an issue tbh.
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial Love your videos! I bought a Diavel cos of your epic video from way back. The thing I was talking about was, at 05: 22 you said, "It allows this engine to spread its legs". Does that mean it also puts out some extra heat?!?!
Great review, Sarge!😊 How is it compared to the Interceptor-650? Considering SG-650 also has the same seat height as the Int-650, Int-650 has better lean angle, and for someone who is a track enthusiast. What would you recommend, SG-650 or Int-650?

@@SagarSheldekarOfficial Didn’t expect any less from you Sarge! Nailed it. I now have pointers to look for.. If I can adapt to the way this machine has to be leaned into corners unlike my Cbr, the rear shocks though improved will have to see if they go well with my back on most of our jarring tarmac, the forward lean compared to the inty, how pronounced the wind could be on my helmet ( I’m pretty sure aftermarket windscreens would sort this sooner). They could’ve held onto the tank from SM650 though, for this 650 and that SM derived chassis in our country is meant to take on highways for the most part unlike an inty or gt. Also, only time will tell if the SG inherits the sprocket and rear disc hunger of the SM650. On a positive note, it definitely solves the upswept exhaust issue for carrying my saddlebags, does not burn the pillion’s footwear, better seating for the pillion compared to the inty, easier handling compared to SM650 in city. This isn't the J platform bud. That's the 350cc engine in the hunter and classic 350. And the small tank is because this isn't actually meant to be a tourer, the supermeteor is!
I did sample it in India as well and it did very well. I'll definitely pick this over the super meteor as it has far better riding dynamics and suspension
