So lovely to share in your joy and your finds. I understand your hesitation about sharing your finds but wanted to let you know that By sharing our second hand foraging adventures we can help others think how they can repurpose items and how even unlikely things can be wonderful in our stitching. I’ve had lots of folks share that it has helped them see things with new eyes. With regards to how to store your newly developing fabrics stash, I love to wrap mine around either postcard sized card for smaller pieces or comic book card for larger. I happened to be visiting Sydney from Melbourne so I took the ferry over to Balmain and found the Sewing Basket shop. It's a lovely shop, full of interesting things. I told the ladies that there was a recent You Tube video about their shop. I showed them the video and they were delighted. I will definitely go again another time.
Who doesn't like sharing in the finds a fellow stitcher has made? You picked up some lovely things, and that sewing box will fit perfectly amongst your bright, colourful projects.
I love watching haul RUclips’s Kate. I’m in California and I don’t have “op shops” like the sewing basket to find inexpensive treasures in, so I’m a little bit jealous too 😊. Keep sharing please; I get so much inspiration from your videos!

I used to buy John Kaldor fabrics, probably in the early '90s. Good luck with storage. My only tip is, try to keep everything visible...the mind tends to forget what the eye can't see. Very envious of you 😍😍 Oh my goodness, I just had a brainwave, my daughter only lives a 1hr 8min drive to Balmain, I need to spend a weekend with her & she can take me !!!!! I just have to get over a few health problems at the moment that are stopping me travelling, but now I have something to look forward to ...... Oh my… these unfinished vintage embroidery panels are so precious and hard to find here in Canada. They are the precious. Finding old embroidered dresser scarfs are a beautiful base to start stitching on. Pieces like these are such treasures. I am so very happy you showed them to us. I peruse the Internet to try to find vintage unfinished embroidery panels like this with no success. Simply wow. What a lucky lucky find.💕🪡🧵🎉🇨🇦
