I used to love going to see this great band play live, manly at the Marquee Club in Soho, Greenbelt was great as well but their gig at the Rainbow Theatre in 1979.was awesome. So glad a Christian band was so good.
Here's Peter: www.cafemusica.co.uk/ Andy's doing Christian music in the US and John was chief exec of a charity till a year or two back. ATF (well, Peter, John and some other guys) last played about three years ago. I was one of the other guys: it was a great honour
The night before this gig was recorded the band played Manchester UMIST, The van carrying their PA equipment broke down on the way back and they had to make do with borrowed PA.
@@tonywainman436 I sadly wasn't alive when ATF were around, but my dad was and I'm so glad he introduced me to them. I remember being a kid a going with him to sit in a field to watch them (this was when they did the reunion shows about 15 years ago), also remember walking with him to just of side of the stage to chat with some of them when they came off
Hi Tony, ATF my first gig aged 15 in Lancaster University, got to talk to Pete Banks about it at the reunion about 15 years ago. Hope to be revising some of their

Right. Better than most Xian bands, and it's because they were musicians who were Christians, not Christian musicians.
When they had their hit with "Der Komissar," nobody believed me that they were a Christian band.
Blimey, a real blast from the past. Great live band
Great stuff!!
The masters at work.

Mark Watson one of the greatest bands ever
A lovely band. Love Peter Banks playing the Micro Moog.

Yes that is very true what a gig at Rock goes to college. I wonder if the BBC still has the original video of the gig.

Fan since 78 when I saw them by chance at St Osyth collage Clacton they did signs of change loudest concert I've ever been to
Anybody know who the drummer was at this gig ? Seemed to have been deliberately left off camera. Wonder if it was at a time of illness ? RIP
