I first saw ATF in Clacton in 1978, didn't want to go as was told they were a Christian band so had visions of lots of hand waving etc but had free transport and in the company of good friends. Well what a night and absolutely brilliant. Me the band after the show, really nice guys. Years later I happened to end up messaging Peter Banks (keyboards) as I had just purchased on their website their first album and brought back many happy memories of that Clacton gig and Peter remembered it well. Turned out he also knew someone very well that I also knew. In 2008 ATF did a show in my City and Peter contacted me to see if I would be there. It was so nice that when I arrived Peter recognised me (from My Space) and came over and said hello. During the break Peter and I had a very long and interesting chat about music, my recording studio etc which the band were hoping to visit next time in Swansea. Happy days and memories, love to see them again and see Peter.
Only recently got into After The Fire. A very underrated band, and this is such a good song, n much it's best form as a life concert piece. Thanks for posting
Saw ATF numerous times and they were always brilliant; as good live as many bands are after weeks of layering and dubbing in the studio! They were a pop/rock band, not a 'Christian band' but the lyrics clearly show their christian faith, and Andy Piercy has written some excellent worship songs over the years.
I was at the Rainbow theatre in Finsbury Park London when they recorded this on vinyl in November 1980. They were so professional
Great song 😊

Many thanks for posting, as not easy to get footage of them. Loved the mix of rock , synth, harmonies and just good catchy songs.

Thanks for posting these up - all I had was an old audio recording of this concert! Saw ATF 10 times between 1979 and 1985 -most underated band ever?
Glad you liked it.....it's my all time favourite
