Taylor Glenn, what is the diameter of the "Taylor Tries" Juggling Balls that you are using????, Juggling Warehouse shows the weight but not the diameter. Thanks!!, Andy. silverfox4743
Dear Taylor…I am 68 years old. I have always loved juggling, but I could never learn. I finally gave my juggling set and book to a young boy at our church. But I thought maybe to give it one more try for him. You will be my teacher if you don’t mind. My reflexes are still fine. I hope you succeed in teaching me when so many others failed. You are amazing. Can I call you “Teacher Taylor?”
@@lowelltackett3323 I kept trying and trying but I couldn’t get it. Very saddened over that. I am 69 years old but have great reflexes. I need a class or a teacher
I have to say, after desperately trying to juggle since I was child and never being able to figure out how to do it, even with watching multiple methods over my life (I'm in my 30s), this video was perfect for me. All the tips and guidance and breaking it down, and within 2 week, practising a little every day I can do it. My inner child could cry, I've wanted to learn how to juggle my entirely life and I'm actually so grateful to have found your video. I'm so happy. Thank you!! You've made the little kid in me, and the adult me very very happy
I am in the same boat, I'm a Navy Vet, I've done things people dream of doing in movies. Then comes along someone with videos of juggling from 0.01-99.99. It's like basic math, but no one ever openly makes these videos. I go the three sacks down in 30 minutes, albeit needing more practice. But never even knew how simple it was. I wish it was more commonly practiced. Itys an amazing motor skill to practice and increase other skills. I could have used this in many presentations to impress war heroes even. Alas... Many I knew have long passed. RIP WWII VETS, their passion and knowledge drives me in my oddity endeavors forever.
I literally thought I’d see a lot of junior high level comments. To be honest, I was hoping there would be so mine would blend in but everyone is being nice. This is an impressive tutorial, not just on juggling, but the video quality is great, the audio is great, she has a great voice, she’s delivering the information to keep the audience interested, she’s animated, the editing is great, graphics are practical and helpful.
@badofcheese yeah I'm decent. I mean I can't juggle for forever, but for the most part, I can start and stop when I choose to, not because they hit the floor. Remembering that the balls dropping is just part of the journey was actually helpful for me. Just practise a little but day by day, and it'll come eventually
People must say this to you a lot, but you're a really good teacher. You can clearly see in your video 1. Your enthusiasm for juggling and 2. You really want the person watching the video to understand, learn and have fun with themselves. I didn't have an interest in juggling but I watched the full video nonetheless and it was fun, encouraging and instructive. Thanks a lot!
This is the BEST juggling tutorial I've found. Your tip about finding those spots to hit was huge! I've tried a few tutorials over the last couple weeks, but didn't feel like I was making a lick of progress until I stumbled across yours. Still can't juggle, but now I actually feel like I'm getting there. Thank you!!
Ive been trying to juggle for a couple months and I literally still cant do it. But I learned to spin a basketball on my finger very quickly. Idk why it's not clicking.
Have you ever stopped to consider how many smiles have incurred in the world from your content? I bet it's quite a lot. Thank you for that. Blessings to you.
I was thinking that to myself while watching. So naturally cool and confident. Fun to watch and I'll be watching it a couple of times because I've been challenged to learn juggling 4 balls for a minute within 3 weeks 😁
Yes! This is the best tutorial video I've found. For starters, stand next to the side of a bed, the bigger the bed the better. It will save you a lot of running around after balls. You're Welcome! Also, the soft balls are great to start, and then lacrosse balls are very good to use. Good Luck! Have Fun!
I just wanna say you taught me how to juggle during the whole 2020 thing and it's been one of the best things I've ever done. I walk around with three little sacks, or oranges, or fake apples, or wooden balls, and just juggle away when I'm wondering about the house, or at the store, or at the dentists, or just out in the world. I wanted to thank you, Taylor, and it's been a pleasure learning the little intermediate skills i'm up to now. I'll probably not be on your level, but hey, it's lonely at the top. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. Take Care :)
For anyone who doesn't have juggling balls at home, I learned by stuffing one sock with 2-3 small rocks and folding over 3 more socks to make a medium-sized sock ball with some weight
Taylor I first started listening to your videos about two months ago I’m 71 years old and learning something new is just awesome you are such a good teacher I have been fascinated with my progress as it continues every so often I see a little breakthrough and I’m getting better and better thank you so much for your video I really appreciate it. I think an activity like this is fantastic for people of my age.
Taylor, This is fantastic I am 76 and the focus is perfect for my gold game! Reduced my handicap by two points. Thank you and it is also so much fun to watch with your wonderful sense of humor and comments during training.
I really like the way you teach! Got my juggling balls... now I’m going to start practicing. By the way, I am 66 years old and I want to do this to keep my brain working well.
@@jdh2024 I am not a pro, but I‘m better than I was. It‘s a wonderful way to challenge my muscles, my eyes and my brain to act in a coordinated manner. Other benefits: increased confidence and the admiration of my grandson. All in all, I can only encourage you to get started!
Hi I’ve recently turned 70 and always thought it would be fun to learn how to juggle. I have grandchildren so we are learning together. Your tutorial instructions are very clear and fun. I’m going to learn something new this decade of my life and hopefully pass it on to my grandkids🤩 Thanks!!
This is an excellent vid. When I taught myself to juggle 55 years ago, with no tutor, I naturally discovered that the key, for me, was to start with two balls in my dominant hand which I tossed up, releasing the second as the first reached its apex. Then I did the same with my left hand, which was harder. I can't explain it, but when I could juggle two balls with one hand, right and left, I started juggling three balls in a matter of an hour or two.
nah. been trying. Taylor makes a great point - things that are too light will totally suck for learning and will make you build bad habits. socks tend to fly all over the place, and it's less intuitive to catch them.
@@pigthebunny yep, i just got some juggling balls as well. great for building consistency between throws - that's the most tricky thing for me right now
Thanks for your content, Taylor. I juggle in the streets of my city and kids and people love to stop by and learn how to juggle. I always point girls and women towards your content; I think it helps them gain more interest in juggling when they see another woman crushing it. Hopefully more women will get into juggling as a result of seeing your inspirational content. Have a nice day!
*Update* 3-28-22 I-did-it!! 4 catches consistently. If anyone is struggling as bad as I was, review the tutorial, it mentions often frustrations and don't focus on doing it perfectly. Practice, laugh at yourself, remember to take breaks but the process she employs works! As many have already commented, I'm 60 years old and just started. This is an excellent way to stay mentally sharp as well as entertain my grandchildren. What's a good practice regimen? How long each day is considered a good practice discipline. Your tutorial is excellent and definitely speaks to the total novice. In 4 days I'm up to two balls, but having difficulty transitioning with the third ball. I'm open to any tips and guidance. Thank you again for the wonderful video. [I use your balls, I got them off Amazon]
I am a Special Education Teacher and I am using juggling as a way to help my students learn that making mistakes is not bad. Also, it lightens the mood in the room before I challenge them in learning to read, do math, or write. My students are in 5th - 8th grade. They love it. It helps them to have a brain break from their regular work. It also builds confidence, coordination, and their risk taking skills. We're working on 2 balls right now. I will update next school year. Thank you so MUCH!. Your tutorial is easy to follow and well thought out. SMILES, Donna
I have taught several people how to juggle. Taylor’s video is spot on. I agree with her opinion of not to use tennis balls but I taught someone and that’s all that was available. The frustrating thing about learning that puts off a lot of students is chasing the balls. It’s all part of the learning process but it can be discouraging. One day I found my student with the tennis balls standing in the water at a beach up to his waist, practicing his juggling. When he dropped a ball, because he was in the water, the ball didn’t go anywhere, it floated and he just reached down and picked it up and continued…….. Brilliant
This is a banging tutorial, I tried juggling with socks then some homemade bean bags and finally got some proper weighty balls today and they make a great deal of difference.can do 4 catches with 3 balls, sometimes. Making that bit of progress is addictive. New hobby! 2 week edit for anyone reading this: hit about 66 catches with 3 ball cascade, a lot more consistent now, throws are still a bit sloppy but catches are good. Started learning to juggle two balls in one hand now. Juggling is amazing.
I just want to say thank you for everything.🥰 Around April or May, I started to think that I should start juggling. I was a little bit nervous because I didn't think I could juggle anything (I'm turning 13 in September) but I ordered a pack of balls and started. I watched your video and I became even more excited about this. You are so kind and awesome at juggling, and you are a really great teacher too.😊 I learned the 3 ball method in 2,5 hours, and "qualified" it, I think a week later. Now I actually started juggling more intense (minimum 1 hour almost every day), and I keep getting better and better. Thank you so much for teaching me this awesome skill, and I'm flattered I can say, that a Guinness record-holder taught me how to juggle.
@@samiamiam9943 thank you for asking! i don't juggle as much as i used to, but i can still do it. i know a couple tricks pretty well, and can hold eye contact or talk while doing them. i got better, and it's a fun little secret talent i have
So I started learning sort of freestyling the learning process myself with a few key steps my housemate told me as he can juggle. after about 2 weeks of practice (5 min every other day just while the kettle is boiling). It's crazy how much of this I ended up doing instinctively/naturally, the bed/sofa in particular, what this has built into me is the lean forward, I'm absolutely going to try the wall technique. For others in the comments section, I started with socks balled up, definitely harder than kiwis or apples or limes. This video is brilliant and really helped simplify and tidy up the technique for me. I started to learn with the goal of actually learning and self-tech, something that I felt had been severely lacking in my life for the past few years, however, if you just want to learn and don't want to grind it out on your own, this is a great video. Something I found particularly helpful for my own learning that wasn't mentioned above. In the transition of doing two to three balls, try holding the third ball and just sticking with the one-two catch setup and ignore that you're holding the third ball completely, eventually, you get super comfortable with it in your hand and the third one going up will completely surprise you and come from boredom or instinct, just make sure that your always starting with the two ball hand. A couple things for those learning, from someone who can do this three cascade sort of consistently, it's really strange when it clicks but it's super satisfying. I hope some of what I said was clear, I am fully taking up this juggling malarky.
Nice to see this video on my recommended tab, I'm back to it about two years later Managed to learn it back then with tennis balls, I guess my hands are big enough for it
Hey, just wanna let you know, I used your tutorials to learn and now 4 weeks later I can almost perfectly juggle about 10~15 times. Still a long way to go, but really amazing tutorials and it was a lot of fun, the journey. Thanks a lot!
I don’t know if you’ll see this but I really have to thank you! Your teaching techniques really clicked for me! I was able to do this in at least 30 minutes! I’m in quarantine trying to learn a new skill and I wanted to know how to juggle lucky for me I came across this video and it really helped me, thank you again! 🙂
Hi Taylor. Many thanks for this manual! The best there is. I am 58 years old and had started passing one ball left and right as this has a calming effect on the brain and increased focus. Then suddenly I thought why not try 2 balls? And then I got the bright idea to start juggling. With the help of your video I now do 2 balls smoothly. I hope to go to 3 balls soon. This would really be a win. I've never done this before. fingers crossed...I will definitely keep practicing!
I am 67 year old male who got my grandson a set of juggling ball. He gave up, I am determined to learn so he will learn perseverance. Day two and I can do 4 tosses. Great video, fun to watch you, love your attitude and personality. Thanks, Its Ron from Nova Scotia
Great tutorial! Sitting here with my two little boys during the Corona virus lockdown, and your video taught us all how to juggle 😊 Will definitely follow 🕺
thats why i love her so much she brakes down the patter so you can understand it and shows what you might be doing wrong and how to fix it which when learning tricks it helps so much.
I am 64 and learning to juggle has been on my bucket list for years. I stumbled upon this video quite by accident, was completely inspired, and purchased your signature juggling balls. I took your advice and have kept my practicing to around 10 minutes per day. It is the 7th day now and I just completed 4 3-ball flashes starting with 2 balls in my dominant hand (right). I haven't been able to do it with 2 balls in my left yet - 3rd toss goes bananas🤣. I am finding that the tossing of the balls to a consistent height and plane is key so I warm up with the one ball toss and catch drill. It is amazing to me how difficult it is just to do that - makes me feel like a spazz sometimes. Thanks for having such a warm, inviting way about you. And I'm really glad you're a girl because I'm a girl too (or I still feel like one at my age😉)
Juggling is on my learning list, a very long list. After rubik’s or speed cubing with 2, 3, and 4 layers, rope skipping with shuffling, now comes juggling with 3 + balls, I am so exited about learning new stuff every day…. You are awesome. One more channel on list too. Thank you so much ♥️💪👍
I never learned to rope skip beyond the basics. But after trying and getting better at this within an hour, I'm sad they don't teach kids this. 3 ball juggling is a solo task, even the loners at age 6 could get this down and have a conversation starter. Circus jugglers of the past should have had more public displays and teachings. I'm an antiquer now, I can see why they kept their job security. It's still wonderful. Even when I learn a new juggling pattern I am fascinated with myself and those before me. Lol
I've been working as a juggling teacher for the last 10 years and I was never satisfied with any RUclips tutorial for beginners. Until now. That is by far the best 3 ball tutorial that I have encountered with. Bravo🤩
This is a phenomenal tutorial. You dish out great advice, techniques and AWESOME life lessons I am a new subscriber. I am 67 and went to my neurologist yesterday. I had a seizure in 2018 and I had to get an MRI brain scan to be able to reduce my anti seizure meds. I was freaked out when my neurologist mentioned there was evidence of "normal wear and tear" on my brain. I asked what that meant and he said the normal amount of brain shrinkage and occluted arteries in my brain! My mom died from Alzheimer's so i went looking for ways to reverse the shrinkage. Surprisingly, several articles mentioned learning to juggle as a very successful way to actually enlarge a certain part of a brain. Basically, learning something new... A new language, a new dance step, a new aerobic exercise routine..and juggling was listed as one of the best ways to stimulate repair and growth in the brain. Wanted you to know that. Thanks so much! I can't wait to start. *Also, you have so many excellent pieces of advice that are actually life lessons when living life and/ or learning something new. Thank you for your wisdom
Her tips are spot on! I juggled sporadically for 20 years, never got past 3 balls in the cascade and reverse cascade. It will take you a month to learn the cascade. Reverse comes easy. It is all a matter of a little practice every day. 4 ball or 5 ball I think is possible, it would take 5 day a week practice for months.... (her tip about focusing on a spot to throw to is crucial).
Amazing tutorial! I managed to "qualify the pattern" in couple of hours with tennis balls without ever juggling in my life. Probably not with a perfect technique. For everyone reading, I think it's important to understand the when you start juggling your pre-existing coordination matters a lot!!!
Been learning to juggle for several days for gym! A few days ago, I ordered your juggling set, because I really found juggling fun, and it's been a lot easier with your set!
Taylor, you are great. I am such a big fan of yours. I was doing a smart reading training where it suggested us to do juggling to improve our peripheral vision. So I ended up coming to your tutorial. Awesome teaching of yours. Your style is relaxing and absolutely no pressure. I love it. Thank you!!
I was saying to some friends recently that I always wanted to learn how to juggle. I checked out a few RUclips videos, and luckily stumbled across yours. In just a few days of practice following every step you described, I'm now up to a three ball flash! Thank you so much! Your explanation was really clear and useful. I followed your advice and made sure I was confident with two balls before taking up the third. It was really helpful that you switched to the colored balls for the three ball cascade explanation. I also liked how you said we should commend ourselves for doing even three catches. So, now, I'm going to aim for 4, 5, and then the big 6 catch qualify. Wish me luck!
Relearned how to juggle during the duration of this video. I was able to juggle a decade ago, but tried to relearn by myself, and struggled. You helped me get it back in under 10 mins!
Make sure you have 2 ball down to a TEE. Once youre able to do tricks and switch it up adding styles to your routine with good rhythm.. i think you should be able to progress to 3. You may want to go back to basics a bit and keep repeating.. maybe theres something youve left out
took me 30mins to get the hang of it with some of my moms plastic ornaments, most fun i've had learning something ever, please try your best to learn this!!
I am going to try and learn to juggle in two weeks, I am going to keep you guys updated! DAY 1: I practiced for about 1,5 hour (in total, spread over the whole day), I can do 3 throws pretty easy, my record is 5 throws :) the balls then fly everywhere, I can’t control where they’re going that good (throwing them higher isn’t more easy, because I can’t throw them high up in a straight line lol) DAY IDEK LMAO: um so i practiced a few days and i am getting a little better, but i still have the same problem, after 5-6 throws the balls fly everywhere :/ i can’t throw them straight up, i throw them too much forward imma keep practicing :)
@@danielschouteeten9421 I was sent this video for online class... I never even attempted to juggle lol but funny that I came back and learned to juggle
This was great. I am self-taught. I was bored on a grenade range one day and juggling came up. We all started attempting to juggle and it turns out hand grenades are near perfect for juggling. They were the best object I've ever juggled. Good weight, nearly spherical. I never went beyond 3 balls though. I just recently started to legitimately train. So I figured a formal explanation was in order, hence your videos. I make a lot of mistakes lol. Keep up the good work, your videos are very beneficial.
Who are you? This is SO helpful. You are a teacher and, like me, a psychologist, in terms of validating our frustrations as beginners and in terms of teaching in such small, baby steps, little by little. The tips like practicing over your bed are so very helpful. I am getting it. I wish you well in your career. And your obvious cool sense of humore is attractive and normalizing, for you, and for us beginners.
Thanks for sharing this, Taylor. I am a seasoned juggler, former circus performer, so I don't need a beginner's lesson. BUT, a friend of mine in a distant location wants to learn. Your clip here was the first that I clicked on. As it turns out, we teach almost an identical method, so I am forwarding this clip to my friend. I totally approve of your method. You are a great juggler and do a lot of tricks that I don't. I love seeing new tricks, so thanks for being there and sharing your kind self. Peace and happiness to you! 😊
Some **Timestamps** that helped me out quite a lot: - 02:36 Aim for shoulder with points. - 03:05 Catch outside shoulder. - 03:08 Throw inside shoulder. - 03:29 Focus on higher throw. - 03:45 When first comes down, throw second. - 03:51 Don't start with dominand hand. - 04:21 Focus on hitting those points. - 04:34 If second ball flies too far, intentionally focus on second throw, aim for that spot! - 04:58 If you throw the balls to fast, only throw if the second comes down, pay attention to the rythm! - 12:38 Juggling variations
Hey Taylor! It’s been a while since I watched this video. I was talking to Joe DiNoto and he said I should let you know that, you are the reason I can juggle today. Your explanations are great and it was something I always thought were just beyond my ability. So thank you and please keep up the amazing work. :)
Friends of mine invited a bunch of jugglers to perform at their wedding reception…….I actually learned how to juggle three balls and also use a Diablo in an hour or two that day. This was many years ago, so I’m totally out of practice……this is a nice refresher. Thank you!😊

I've never been able to juggle more than two things in my whole life until now! Taylor makes it so easy to understand! Great tips! Thank you SO much! Self esteem improved +10 pts!
I taught myself to juggle 22yrs ago but never ever progressed further than a basic cascade. I have juggled almost everyday since 15yrs old, but never pursued it. The past couple of weeks I have decided to further my juggling and found your channel! You have a much better (sorry to the other channels😆) way of teaching than pretty much all the other channels I have seen.
omg thank you Taylor i have been practising this for weeks and now i can do 2 balls in one hand and now today it only took me a couple seconds to do three balls with both hands. thank you because my parents are proud of me and my friends and im proud of myself thank you soo much. :)
Excellent tutorial full of great advice! As someone who has taught others to juggle I absolutely agree with your comment about finding a local juggling club and asking someone for help. What I found worked really well was to get the student to lightly hold my wrists while _I_ was juggling, and follow my hand movements with theirs. By doing that they learn the movement and start to build the muscle memory that is the key to basic juggling. For learning on your own, one important thing to realise is that all the balls follow a figure-of-eight pattern, not just back-and-forth arcs between your hands. Your method with the two aim points is another way to explain that.
In my twenties I was a moderately accomplished juggler. Standard cascade, outside/in cascade, snatch cascade, snatch inside/out, snatch outside/in, one ball over the top back and forth standard and snatch, standard/snatch shower both ways, under leg both directions, behind back both directions. I used lacrosse balls. They afforded a really cool 'start'. I'd hold all 3 balls in one hand, throw them to the floor or concrete so they all came back up in a triangle. I'd snatch the two outside balls down allowing the middle one to continue upward then bring the other two into a standard cascade. As I got more seriously into my music career juggling just sort of faded away. I'd gotten skilled enough to juggle balls off the ground and wall in a standard cascade, but that's as far as I went. Your video has prompted me to get 3 new sets of lacrosse balls and re-up my skillset. My grandchildren need to learn how to do this. lol Update: Practiced for the 1st time in at least 25 years. Satisfied with my level of disappointment. lol Have a torn rotator cuff so my left hand is pretty weak. Was only able to do a standard cascade consistently. 61 reps was my high. Did 50+ 4 times. Most were between 25-45. Tried the 3 ball start and managed 1 out of 10. So, I went to a 2 ball start. It was pretty automatic after a couple tries. The main difficulty was keeping a consistent standard cascade. Took some satisfaction in losing it a couple times and bringing the cascade back to form. Tried one ball over the top with some success, but was only able to go right>left. Did a couple of right hand snatches successfully. Thank for rekindling my love of juggling. I'd forgotton how contemplative and meditative it is. Cheers from New Zealand! 🇳🇿
I, just a moment ago, threw and caught all three balls for the first time. I have autoimmune disease that’s chewed away at my joints and muscles, and I never thought I would get this far. THANK YOU TAYLOR!!!
Congrats! I also have an autoimmune disease (but not as intense as that!) and mine makes me more prone to arthritis in my hands, so juggling is great for helping prevent it. Hopefully it helps you also even if only a little!
I teach a class called Genius Hour where the kids pick something that they really want to learn. I decided to learn how to juggle and I love how you break this skill down piece by piece. Thank you! (the kids are likely laughing at all my drops, but I am determined to learn how to do this!!)
Started watching your videos and have been practicing since the 2020 election. Not an easy thing to learn (especially if you're a senior citizen) but you CAN do it. You have to STICK WITH IT and not give in to the temptation to just give up. I practice over a pool table (using multiple balls) so I don't have to keep bending over as much to pick up my many misses. Thank you for your hard work Taylor.
Super job on this tutorial! Your teaching method is spot on and your talent in making a video is really great. Your RUclips juggling videos are a huge contribution. I think they will inspire many people. Thanks for the good work!

I was thinking that to myself while watching. So naturally cool and confident. Fun to watch and I'll be watching it a couple of times because I've been challenged to learn juggling 4 balls for a minute within 3 weeks 😁
@@Timo-id4bd How did it go?
I'm so impressed by the production value of this video. Beautiful cinematography, lighting, and location!

I think an activity like this is fantastic for people of my age.
How is it going now with the juggling?
Taylor, This is fantastic I am 76 and the focus is perfect for my gold game! Reduced my handicap by two points. Thank you and it is also so much fun to watch with your wonderful sense of humor and comments during training.
I really like the way you teach! Got my juggling balls... now I’m going to start practicing. By the way, I am 66 years old and I want to do this to keep my brain working well.
I love that! Juggling is really good for your brain and body! :) happy juggling!
That's really great. It will pep you up physically as well.
So how is the juggling going after a year? Are you a pro yet? I'm 61 and just thinking about getting started.
I'm super inspired. I'm 47 and today was my 2nd day practicing. I've been mesmerized by juggling since I was a child. I hope I can learn.

"Gravity works guys!" that was an awesome tutorial, I'm guiding all of my friends to this.
Her: Start juggling with one ball.

nah. been trying.

Yo- two years later! How you doing?? Did you get better? That's awesome to learn that at 13!!

Thanks so much, this is my problem....can’t let go of the third ball. I feel like once I get it, it will click, but until then....lol

Lol

I am a new subscriber.

Well done Taylor , what a great teacher you are , so calm and clear with an easy confidence. Brilliant learning video for children.

My grandchildren need to learn how to do this. lol
Update: Practiced for the 1st time in at least 25 years. 🇳🇿
Thanks so much for taking the time to share and speaking with CLARITY!! I'm so excited to continue improving my abilities.
