@BodyWeakDotNet I Was wondering the same thing?? Ive been doing this for over 30 yrs and I've Never seen it Done before until i seen this video honestly!! And the Jack Straight on the Pan Was a Definite NO NO!! But you can tell this was the guy 1st time doing this, With those mistakes..those 2 things are Common Sense when doing mounts on any 3800. He got the job done tho 🤷🏿♂️
To be honest they don't do anything unless you are very heavily modified and require more spark due to excessive fuel consumption. They're typically needed in a big turbo build and help with E85 builds.
Hey yo I watch all your videos and am a fellow 3800 owner and your video on changing motor and trans mount I had a question? I have an 07 grand prix S/C When I look up to order mounts the trans mount you used in your video comes up as for a n/a grand prix. Is there any difference between the 2 👇👇??
That's awesome! I really appreciate your support! No sir! I don't think it matters. However seeing that the Poly mounts haven't come in stock STILL, id suggest getting the hydrologic mounts instead of the Solid mount I used in the video. You can pick those up at any auto parts store.
No board under the oil pan either? Omg! This is driving me nuts. You have much more trust in those pans then anyone I know. Good for you if it doesn’t collapse.
Negative. I've been told solid mounts (being like solid aluminum) would work just fine. I have them on mine now but haven't tested it. I'll let u know how it goes
Unless you can buy them off someone that doesn't want them I don't think you can get them anywhere else. I've looked and looked and can't find anyone else who sells them
Good video as usual. I cringed a little seeing the jack directly on the trans pan. Wood block to distribute the weight next time. Awesome work!
Thanks! Those finned pans a alot stronger then you think!. Thanks for ur support!
My 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix have this same problem. Now my struts for the mounts broke 🤦🏽♂️😂 Thank you for making this great video bro 💯🎯🏆
Hey man no problem! I'm glad I can help!
Great video nice close ups!
I found a guy on FB that makes new Trans Polly mounts. Can't wait for zzp to restock the polly mounts
Would u personally trust his work?
@The 3800 Daily idk. I have a mount he sent me plus polly rack bushings
@The 3800 Daily it looks good. Will be installing soon. I have a video on my channel
Links please?? I look on your channel and couldn't find it...

I seen this guy video, but I've never tried it..ruclips.net/video/X2U-9_JfRdk/видео.htmlsi=9uWXcwhkzYL8_HIz
How u got those mounts out & in without disconnecting the upper mounts is unbelievable!! That's a Definite NoNo Guys!
The uppers are not really mounts. They are just Stabilizers. The purpose of them is to reduce forward/backward movement under engine torque.

I had to take the Top Support Brace off and the doggy bones off to even Raise My Monte Carlo SS... Seeing this was a 1st for me as well 👀
Good video!!!!!
Thank you!
Great video! I see you have ZZP coil packs and wires. Are they really worth the extra cost compared to stock coil and wires?

Do you have any vibration at idle with with the solid trans mount
No not really. Or at least nothing you would really notice

It's the finned pan so it's a lot stronger then the stock pan. Lol your not the first to cringe over it lol
@@jaderae11 Right...lol you can definitely tell it was his 1st time
Same on 3400 impala?
2005
I can't be 100% sure on that. Take a look behind ur driver wheel and see if u see the trans mount
I'm getting noise 2003 pontiac grand am when I slow to stop clunk could possibly be trans mount or front motor mount well see
New trans mount engine sits higher like it should
Most definitely. Can't wait to get the poly mounts
@@The3800Daily Did u ever find a poly mount? I keep breaking the stock mounts lol
