bro I love your reviews this was your best one yet I love how effortlessly review the car! It's finally good to see someone do a completely positive review on these cars because too many people do half and half reviews and then you get people skeeved out not to get one when in reality they really are truly great cars if taken care of and not beating the crap out of. I don't understand the point of someone buying a beautiful car like this and then going beating the crap out of them. Go buy a 325 or 328 if you want to go beat the crap out of it don't waste this beautiful masterpiece of a car that's how I always looked at it. You don't manhandle the 650 this is a gentleman's car. Anyways brother I really just wanted to tell you I appreciated the review and then definitely I'm going to go pick one up now for a weekend car. I agree with you on the transmission issue as well it's really not as bad as people think I also test test drove and I was actually very impressed with how smooth it was. Was wondering if you'd be willing to do one on a 550 of the same era the E60 just to see a comparison maybe for people if you could do maybe an M sport one like a 2008 to 2010 model I think it would be good idea to do both the 650 and 550 video. I have two big dogs so I would rather consider the 550 with the space so it'd be nice to see if a video on them. Keep it up brother love the content can't wait to see the next one! I’m on my third 650i all LCI models but I’ve still had to replace the valve stem seals on my current one, a 2010 model(last year of production). Will agree with you on the rewarding feel especially for the size and weight.
@@andyp8464 depends on where you are mate. I’m based in the UK, and there is a reputable garage in the midlands PMP that do the valve stems replacement for the N62 in situ with the specific tools for 995GBP all in. If you’re based in the south, which I am. I had mine done by another specialist CPC performance in Amersham, North West off of London for around 1200ish. This was a few years ago now so prices may have increased
@Eric Lam mate that's much appreciated 👍thanks for the super useful info. hopefully wouldn't have gone much up from that price. I'm down in Surrey and unfortunately the one I'm picking up has 20 inch rims and the tyres fitted are not great so rectifying just the tyres is 1k so I'd hope I don't have to throw more cash at the car. It is low mileage, around 67k but that doesn't mean much in the context of the valve sealants and coolant pipe etc If I like the car and decide to keep it for a few years I might preemptively do the work but I fear I tend to swap cars around rather quickly 🤣
I’m literally in the process of picking my next car. Spending the winter exploring. It will be a 3rd for me. I love this market because cars like this, and others of similar year and caliber are less than $18,000 with low low miles! And worth the extra cash to get into perfect running condition
Im picking up a 645ci convertible as a commuter and weekend cruiser and for lazy family trips. The car is 4 4 v8 and only 330hp. Its a bit underpowered but my driveway has an e63s so i can use that for hooning During my test drive i found it was comfortable , rear visibility sucks on the vert and its a big boat of a car. With 4 seats 350l boot with roof up, its actually a decent car. The hydraulic steering is good but as was the case with my e46 m3, im not a fan of steering deadzone around the centre , but still has plenty of feel. Only question mark is whether it will have the coolant hose or valve seal issues and whether the roof is going to hold up. 67k miles only on the clock so im hoping it can so another 40k
Hey, I was going through and emailing a bunch of manufacturers for press cars and found your email that one time you sent regarding those trucks you drove that was cool haha. How did you like that newer 650i would love to know my friend
I always like the 650. Nice width to height ratio. 12.5k is a pretty sweet price point too. Headlight style has not aged super well. The dash cover made me laugh too
Yes I like the way you put that it really does have nice width to height to even length ratio lol. Headlights I agree probably not my favorite part about the car but it will do I suppose. Car is actually around $9,000 now haha. So the dash is apparently “webbing” not sure what that is and I’m also not sure where they got that perfectly aligned dash cover from either 😂

Hey thank you very my friend for stopping by. Yea cars in other countries can easily be over twice as expensive as they are in the states due to many of the fees and taxes that you mentioned which is unfortunate
That’s a sweet car. I’m just curious: Did you test the convertible top? I also laughed at that dashboard carpeting and the amazing Sony not figuring out where the light went!
I was not able to test the Convertible top unfortunately as it has been raining for the past week here haha. Yea Sony has some hiccups but I still can’t argue with the quality as I am an amateur when it comes to handling a camera lol
I’m dying to get one ,but have been scared away by listening to some people here about the engine being so bad . Now I think it’s those high miles car or burned out some way. What do you think ? Thanks Ive see most of your videos .
I have the straight 6 cylinder 630i it looks exactly the same and it's still fast (0.8 second slower to 60mph ) , the engine is more reliable, and the fuel consumption is better. I can get over 40 mpg on the motorway/ highway. I stay in Scotland. I've had the car for over five years and I've loved every day of it. Random people often comment on how good it looks. Best of all I've had nothing major to repair so far, so it has been inexpensive luxury motoring for me. And I didn't get a warranty....If you get one I hope all goes well for you !!!!😊
Haha apparently they told me the dash was “webbing” not sure what that means but that’s why that carpeting is there. But yes it was kind of nice it covers the whole dash and prevents sun damage haha
these old 650’s are notorious for the dash cracking badly. I’ve looked at several with this issue and the dealers will put those ugly covers on it! Its an expensive fix as well!! You can most likely neg harder if you can live with it but then its gonna come back to haunt you whenever you sell.
Easy to lose traction? Not at all. Maybe with shitty rear tyres or runflats (there are Potenza runflatds on the car you reviewed).
