The only thing I don't like about that D1 Max is that I have to watch a video on RUclips to make that camera work with the app. And I appreciate what you have done but I was able to do the same by exploring on my own. It would have been fun to have a booklet, user manual PDF that takes us on each settings and explain it in all aspects of each features so we can use the maximum of that camera. It leaves me with a feeling that the limits of my installation is about my own limit and interpretation and comprehension of the camera by trial and error. Like I was about to record my voice to send voice mesage while I'm not there and there is an intruder but I didn't find where to record and use my own messages and I could swear I read (or watch) it somewhere that I could do it. Hi, fantastic review, i have just purchased the same camera. I have a question, i already have wiring in place on the side of my house from an old camera, would it be possible to cut into the camera wiring and join it to my old wiring? Thanks again for a great review. Phil.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, a more detailed manual would be nice. I guess everything is online now with PDF files and video.

I don't know where you get the Lawn Surveillance because it is not in my app.
I think it is part of the Powered Cameras. I have the SolarCam D1 Classic and this does not ahve the lawn Surveillance either.
How long are the wires? TIA
The power cable is 3 meters.
My camera is a D1 Max, not the same settings. No Lawn, no auto-cruise.
The D1 Max is the Solar powered version - correct? I think those extra features drain the battery more.
