One of the key components if the mage deck IS NOT FORGETTING TO USE FIREBLAST. Thats what i learned from watching you guys. Keep those videos coming crendor, much love.
essentially what i put was the ultimate combo, but you can detract certain things and apply other attributes to still deal massive damage whether it just be setting the berserker up a prior turn for the combo or applying some form of charge for a current turn.
It effectively makes your deck smaller, more consolidated at a cost of some mana. The card draw minions are certainly far more practical in arena format, but Arcane Intellect could be quite nice in pre-constructed deck games.
As someone in the beta who hasn't spent a penny, I can answer. I really depends on the daily quest rewards, the normal amount you get for completing a daily quest is 40. However, sometimes they give you 60 or 100 gold a day.If you you only get 40 gold daily quests for three days you'll have 120, so you need 30 more. But keep in mind you get 5 gold for every 5 wins, so if you win 30 games before the fourth day, you'll have enough to enter the arena. 60, 100 are lucky and only make it faster.
Warrior as well I forgot, with all the armor support cards. Druid I think isn't better than mage because that 1 dmg can be stopped by a Taunter and the Druid has to take some face dmg if he hits a minion.
Just an example mistake: Mana Addict - Water Elental was weakcinstead of - Cone of Cold. You could'bbw had the Elemental for later and still clear him out
I love these Arena videos (although I wouldn't be opposed to seeing that Mukla deck). Keep up the great work Crendor! I'm wondering though what you think about how long it takes to get the 150 gold needed to enter the arena. Difficult to accumulate that much gold or is it pretty easy?
The most profitable thing for Crendor that you can do is watch his videos with ads on. You could always open a few of his videos that you've already seen, then go make a sandwich so that the ads play.
If you would have brought out your water elemental instead of the tiger you would have been able to freeze him making him unable to attack you with his weapon giving you (potentially) the extra turn you needed.
I know that the water elemental doesn't freeze on summoning but only on attacking. He could have played it a turn earlier instead of the stranglethorn tiger which is what I'm saying he should have done. There was no use getting that 1 extra damage each turn instead of the security of having the hero not being able to attack you.
The only issue with that is that the water elemental takes a turn to wake up, so unless he played it before the second bow was played (which he didn't know would've been played) it wouldn't have helped. Still, good to note.
A daily quest gives you 40 gold each, and there may be like 5 daily quests a day. Each quest is something like Win 5 games with the Warrior deck, which is however easy your deck makes it.
that one turn where you drew apprentice you could have made a huge play. attacked the DS with your guy and then summoned apprentice with 2 mana and then flicker would have cost only 6 which would have cleared his board.
In his defense, he realized his mistake next turn and said it himself.

Because you didn't clarify in the first comment. But yes, he could have played the water elemental ans possibly win. I think the problem is that he doesn't realize what freezing the enemy hero causes yet.
Not if you consider other things you could do in this game. For example: Gurubashi Berserker + Wild Pyromancer + Commanding Shout + Inner Ragex2 + Whirlwindx2= Berserker with 30 attack and 7 damage board clear.
Because if you think about from the point of view that you could have another card like a fireball or arcane explosion instead of a card that doesn't really do anything.
You normally get 30ish gold + that depending on your win streak in the Arena, so say you do 2 daily quests, thats 100 gold, and then you buy into the Arena once and get say 3-4 wins, thats another 30-40gold. You only need 10 gold to get into the arena.
Can anybody explain at 6:30 why he didn't kill off that 3/3 monster when he had a spare 2 mana? It could be that I'm missing some grand strategy but it seems odd to leave something with 3 attack alive when you have 2 mana you dont use to kill it even if it is frozen
Sometimes its better to save those kind of cards until you know hes dead or if he plays a big card. Damage to the hero is not always the most important play.
The paladin's I haven't decided if I like it or not...Part of me says 2/1 recruits would be in line, and another part of me says "what if they add more 'All your minions get some effect' cards : \
Playing the Water Elemental does not freeze, that's the Ice Elemental. The Water elemental needs to attack, and by that point it was too late to summon.
I was saying it while watching the video when he played the tiger. He needed to stabilize and stop any possible incoming damage. The tiger was such a bad choice overall that hindsight has nothing to do with it.
warrior and druid i think are decent too, but druid might need to be upped to 3 cost due to giving 1 damage of your choice and 1 armor, compared to mage that's op as he just gets 1 damage to choose warrior is just 2 health 'buff' basically
40 ish gold per quest, 1 gold per game win. So it depends on how much you play, people are saying this is the games main fault, that it just takes too much time to do it and to get cards and stuff.
O man I just realized a card that should exist. Do yawl remember the guy from scarlet monastery who proclaims he shall rip the secrets from your flesh, well it would be nice if he was a card that battle-cried to deal 2 damage to player and take control of all enemy secrets, or maybe on dealing damage to enemy player take control of one of their secrets. Would fix a small balance hole regarding secrets.
If you get 9 wins in arena you seem to get enough gold to play again, getting the 1st 150 though, either through daily quests that net you 40g or normal quests that get you 5g.
his water elemental was in his hand, he has no charge, and the enemys weapon only had one durability left. unless he had it out already, that does no good. 15:48
What's the point of Arcane Intellect? You spend 3 mana to get 2 cards. It's just 1 more card draw, something like the Acolyte of Pain seems much better.
"im going to save my hero power even though it comes back every turn and im not using the mana anyway. I think thats much better than kiling his 3 attack creature with it." --Crendor
Yes but usually it will be used against minions with more than 1 attack and he also can't attack his own minions to enrage them. On the other hand, he has the option of just taking the armor and not attacking when he's got extra mana which isn't the worst thing ever, especially if you get really low on health and are just trying to avoid dying to spells.
well... you can easily get 40 gold a day from the challenges, you also get 5 gold from winning I think 5 games in a row (which in my opinion isnt that much) and doing random challenges such as getting 100 wins which gives you 100 gold. So you could probably enter in 3 days (40, 80, 120 + the money you get from winning and challenges)
One of the key components if the mage deck IS NOT FORGETTING TO USE FIREBLAST. Thats what i learned from watching you guys. Keep those videos coming crendor, much love.
I must say that Crendor is the most entertaining Heartstone player on youtube right now.
That bow was so flippin dippin overpowered....and the pyroblast too
essentially what i put was the ultimate combo, but you can detract certain things and apply other attributes to still deal massive damage whether it just be setting the berserker up a prior turn for the combo or applying some form of charge for a current turn.
Spent another day watching Crendor playing Hearthstone.
I still don't regret it :D
That's the bonus to the mage. You can hit your own minions to enrage them or to kill them off quickly for cards (Acolyte of Pain or Loot Hoarder)
Crendor just a tip: you can freeze the enemy hero with the water elemental if you hit him, that way he won't be able to attack you with his weapons.
that Pyroblast being able to go through taunt is so OP...
It effectively makes your deck smaller, more consolidated at a cost of some mana. The card draw minions are certainly far more practical in arena format, but Arcane Intellect could be quite nice in pre-constructed deck games.

Hits for 10 on a turn, "He's killing me very slowly here"
Warrior as well I forgot, with all the armor support cards. Druid I think isn't better than mage because that 1 dmg can be stopped by a Taunter and the Druid has to take some face dmg if he hits a minion.

i'd also recommend they make the shaman be able to pick from one of 2 random totems
Crendor. Some of your videos waste so much of my time but you still make me happy :3
If you win 1-2 games in arena, can you leave and come back later and continue at the same win streak?Or do you have to retire and start all over again?
I know that the water elemental doesn't freeze on summoning but only on attacking. He could have played it a turn earlier instead of the stranglethorn tiger which is what I'm saying he should have done. There was no use getting that 1 extra damage each turn instead of the security of having the hero not being able to attack you.
6:30 you could have used your hero abiltity to kill the 3/1
I am wondering, can you hit your own units with the mages hero power?
You can aim the fireball at a berserk minion so that he gains his boost
The only issue with that is that the water elemental takes a turn to wake up, so unless he played it before the second bow was played (which he didn't know would've been played) it wouldn't have helped. Still, good to note.
That's actually a good idea. It should be a spell card that gives you a card out of the other players hand.
A daily quest gives you 40 gold each, and there may be like 5 daily quests a day. Each quest is something like Win 5 games with the Warrior deck, which is however easy your deck makes it.
yes when I saw that point I was screaming at the computer to use the hero spell on the left minion.
that one turn where you drew apprentice you could have made a huge play. attacked the DS with your guy and then summoned apprentice with 2 mana and then flicker would have cost only 6 which would have cleared his board.
Being able to aim it makes it much more useful. I'd almost say the Hunter needs to be at 3 to compete (but probably good where its at)
In his defense, he realized his mistake next turn and said it himself.

the guy with torture poker things? that guy was amaizing
I love watching these Crendor! Thank you =)
Yes!!!!!! More mage action!
Because if you think about from the point of view that you could have another card like a fireball or arcane explosion instead of a card that doesn't really do anything.
that's why the 10 damage one costs 8 mana and the 6 damage one 4 mana
but in combitationof that sorcerer he was able to use them both in one turn
dammit crendor why do u put videos at 2:26 am that i must obligate myself to watch! damn that entertaining content of yours!!! ;)
You normally get 30ish gold + that depending on your win streak in the Arena, so say you do 2 daily quests, thats 100 gold, and then you buy into the Arena once and get say 3-4 wins, thats another 30-40gold. You only need 10 gold to get into the arena.
yes crendor keep the hearthstone vids coming
also the EU beta is a few weeks from now
They are aiming for end of the year release.
Can anybody explain at 6:30 why he didn't kill off that 3/3 monster when he had a spare 2 mana? It could be that I'm missing some grand strategy but it seems odd to leave something with 3 attack alive when you have 2 mana you dont use to kill it even if it is frozen
Crendor, do you think you could play agaist Rurikar? He also got heartstone beta and i would really like to see you two in a video again :D
spare 2 mana...doesn't use hero power...on anything v.v goddamnit crendor, you're meant to be one of the good hearthstone youtubers
Sometimes its better to save those kind of cards until you know hes dead or if he plays a big card. Damage to the hero is not always the most important play.
No release date yet. Most likely it will go through Open Beta before they announce the release date.
The cond of cold moment.. why not use the fireball on the hero.. or against the one hero killing it?....
love the arena vids keep them coming!
Mage is the OP class in the Beta by now.
You should have done the water elemental, he will freeze the enemy I believe
when's the hearthstone release date. i REALLY want this game
Because I have a set of Sony surround sound headphones which are significantly better then my PC's speakers. Also incredibly comfortable to wear.
6:33 why didnt you ping the agent?
to get two extra cards on that turn?
I want to play this game so badly! it looks awesome!!
We must see the Mukla deck!
I was saying it while watching the video when he played the tiger. He needed to stabilize and stop any possible incoming damage. The tiger was such a bad choice overall that hindsight has nothing to do with it.
true, but considering he also gets one armor he can attack a 1 dmg minion and not actually lose health
warrior and druid i think are decent too, but druid might need to be upped to 3 cost due to giving 1 damage of your choice and 1 armor, compared to mage that's op as he just gets 1 damage to choose
warrior is just 2 health 'buff' basically
'Let’s drink some tea, wow that’s hot'
The Mage level o this deck is over 9000!!!!
i feel like i heard something about October 27th but not sure
you can aim it anywhere, where the hunter can only aim the opponent hero
I can't believe I was going to bed till I saw this video pop up after I finish "Part 1" (T.T) Wwwwwhhhhy!!
Why is it on here as 360p only?
40 ish gold per quest, 1 gold per game win. So it depends on how much you play, people are saying this is the games main fault, that it just takes too much time to do it and to get cards and stuff.

I "get" why they made Shaman random, but it could stand to be a little less. Another option is just to remove Searing Totem as a possible choice.
or taking the armor and hitting enemy hero for 1 dmg, if there are no taunters
Need more!
his water elemental was in his hand, he has no charge, and the enemys weapon only had one durability left. unless he had it out already, that does no good. 15:48
Couldn't you have played arcane explosion and raised the mana addict's attack again?
Hey Crendor, you should play a few games against Force. It should be interesting.
think of the quests. i guess it's like 50 gold a day or 30. can't remember
but you can hit anything with the mage fireball
hunter hit heroes only ..
i bet you miss those ice barriers now lol
The water elemental doesn't have charge though.
Mage has alot of SP card soo from 1 it can go up to even 6 and still be effective
imho you arcane intellected too early.
bring your threats on the board to get the pressure going!
Yeah you're right, that makes sense.
What's the point of Arcane Intellect? You spend 3 mana to get 2 cards. It's just 1 more card draw, something like the Acolyte of Pain seems much better.
He's in the Brawl'ghar arena man :d
crendor you took so long uploading this I was scurred something happened
It can't wait for the next upload xD livestream now!!
no its just that hearthstones vids are in demand
If you played the water elemental you could keep him frozen and not attacking :)
"im going to save my hero power even though it comes back every turn and im not using the mana anyway. I think thats much better than kiling his 3 attack creature with it." --Crendor

MOAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
how come he never used fireblast?
Yes, pretty sure he did it in this video, or maybe it was the previous one.
You forget. It IS Crendor
Spell power doesn't work on the fireball
I'm pretty sure it would've been res sickness'd
It takes 3 cards to do it in one turn actually. The gnome made them all cost 1 less. Otherwise it would have cost 12.
well... you can easily get 40 gold a day from the challenges, you also get 5 gold from winning I think 5 games in a row (which in my opinion isnt that much) and doing random challenges such as getting 100 wins which gives you 100 gold.
