I had to do the same thing with my mum's 2004 Suzuki Alto, last week. What a pain of a job! I used a rubber mallet to steadily whack the channel onto the rubber strips, while resting the glass on kneeling mats. Now, I have to do the other side as well - hurrah!
Very useful video, thanks. My front passenger window is seized with a small 3-4mm gap on the pillar side. It’s currently duck-taped to prevent water. However, I will need to open it up and have a look. It could be rust or the window may have come out of the rails because it wasn’t closing straight but at angles. Your video will definitely help. My car is 2007. Hopefully, the mechanism will be the same.
If memory serves I think it’s just a plastic/rubber seal that slides in place between the inside of the glass and the upper edge of the inner door structure. It’s simple, if it wasn’t I would have shown it in detail. Thanks for watching 🍻
Hey Gibby! Where do you get your parts from? What year is your SX4? Lost my pax rear window today and found your viddie! (Thanks for posting) Wondering if this part number will work on my '08, and figure if this (one) is buggered, the others can't be far behind.....

Hey, this piece of trim 1:50. How did you remove it? Can I just use some screwdriver as leverage? :)
