R60a Refrigerant Recovery System Testing Post Repair
Просмотров 10714 дней назад
Functional testing the Yellow Jacket Rig. Just a confidence check more than anything else. So why transfer the cans contents to the cylinder? Attempting to “weight in” the correct refrigerant charge while using the small cans is very challenging, if not damn near impossible…. I am just an amateur. Any and all constructive criticism/comments are welcome. I have lots to learn.
Fnirsi DSO-153 Firmware Upgrade

⚠️Correction : Update requires a Windows 10 O.S or above. I know nuthin when it comes to software and computers. But judging by the small size of the file I really can’t see it having much operational impact. I may be wrong… Clumsy but we get there in the end. 😁 Thank you to “handyman7147” for bringing the update to my attention 👍🍻

With nothing to lose, I give it a shot… I am not a formally trained HVAC tech only an interested amateur. The machine is disassembled in the video far more than is required for just a seal change. Not covered in the video was additional chassis damage repair, likely sustained from being dropped. Full disclosure…This video doesn’t unfold in the manner I was expecting. The rate at which the 153 refreshes its display again rears its ugly head 🤷‍♂️ To be fair, expectations should reflect purchase price. It’s just a shame, that in many respects the cheaper 152’s performance seems preferable.

Wrong guy if you looking for heavy tech specs. Just the heart of the matter in what makes the 153 worth the extra couple of bucks. Some subtle differences are intentionally omitted from this 153 introduction video. PS: Yes the brightness is adjusted to Max BTW: Sink Pulse? Did they mean “Sync” 🤣

    I’m concerned about those crush gaskets. Are they the same for the after cat down and also into (whatever the hell that big thing is before the resonator? Your pic shows that 313 part number which of course does not match the factory but I expected that. Also, it’s recommending either M10 or M8 and I’m going with M10. This is an 07 that we are working on. In reality, all it needs is the two gaskets and the four Spring bolts but I wanna make sure I get the right gaskets because the diameter is not listed anywhere. It’s all part numbers. Thank you for your time.

    Strange how "neck valuing" grows with age😂 I can definitely relate! The sh*t you do when you're 20 suddenly becomes quantifiable at 40+ You begin to ask yourself if that rear wheel axle is torque to spec when you're riding the bike, or if you put the brake pads with the arrow up on your car 😂😂 On the other hand I found out (as Forrest Gump did) that "$hit happens" in life. There's a fine line out there 😂😂

    Quick question...I replaced my front struts on my 2007 SX4 a while back, all KYB parts used. All new strut KYB rubber strut mounts and all. On the FSM exploded diagram you show on your video, I have a small gap between the top plate #10, and the vehicle body when fully assembled. The top plate #10, bottoms out on the nut #9 below it and I cannot tighten it down anymore to close this gap. I have a slight rattle when going over bumps and it is due to this gap that I can't seem to close. I replaced this top plate #10 with a genuine Suzuki part as well thinking the KYB plate may have been incorrectly manufactured but it was no different upon receiving the genuine Suzuki part. I checked if the nut #9 is the correct height, and it seems to be, and the insulator bushing below (on the underside of the strut body cavity) is a KYB branded bushing so I assume it is the correct depth. I can't tell from your video, but did you end up with any kind of gap between the top plate #10 and the body of the vehicle once the vehicle was back on the ground and the struts were fully supporting the vehicles weight? Appreciate the videos.

    • @TheGibby3340
      @TheGibby3340 3 дня назад

      Well I don’t know off hand. I will look over the references you mention. I mark the components so they are reassembled in the correct orientation. I think the top mount/bearing does have an indexing mark. And must be positioned correctly. I know in the past I have had to retorque the mount studs with the weight on wheels as I had a squeak. 🤔

    Interesting one. I am trying to understand how those machines are functioning. Whats the differences to regular ac system? Any reason why compressor needs to be piston type? Or because it is combined with vaccum pump for easier integration? Valves are bypassing vaccum pump basically? For some reason no one is importing them on my local market. Thinking of doing some contraption myself.

    Being able to view this has been a thing since the 70s, but you dont need a $50k Sunn machine. Its so cheap for a shop to have a usable scope, and fairly simple to learn to use, yet the only time I ever see a wrench using a scope, is on RUclips. You can see problems developing, though you might not notice anything yet. By using voltage and current probing, you can spot coils or fuel injectors that are developing shorted windings, sticky injectors, fuel pumps with dead or dying windings, secondary ignition shorts/misfires, relative compression tests and a lot more.

  • @tonyfremont
    @tonyfremont 14 дней назад

    The government expects ordinary people to comply with their emissions regulations, but they'll allow parts to be sold that are out of tolerance by 20%. Its time to start punishing the sellers of garbage. This could have cost some single mother thousands in parts cannon misfires, just trying to pass a atate inspection. At 20-25% of fuel trim, many cars will atart throwing check engine codes. Tenacity is a good word for OCD behavior that leads to success, eventually.
