I am catching one heck of a time trying to figure out if the nylon bushing goes in first and then the rod or does the rod go in the bushing and then into the handle! Thank you very much, now if I can get a new regulator I can fix my Tracker window. I need to find two window seals to stop the rain from flooding my tracker.
Just tape the window up. One piece of tape up and over the top stuck to both sides of the window. It don't take much. Works great, I just put a new regulator in my Tracker last week thanks to Hwy 83 an my new regulator. . installed the shifter rebuild kit also now I'm bangin gears and slappin rears baby. But hey the window is still a tad stiff at the top and I've adjusted the 2 screws on the top of the regulator, any other tips to make it go up smooth?

What if you have the kind of outside door rod with a hook on the end(not the straight one with threads), like JX 97 4dr , can you get those kind of clips still? Thanks really dig the channel. Forget it I already answered my own question just now but here's another one: The actuator mechanism is all loose(a lot of play) at all the rod connections, they are loose at the connectors(both the door latch and the lock and the mechanism itself), does that mean it's time for another(used of course), door lock actuator?

I have a 2004 Chevy Tracker , it's the same as the Suzuki Vitara . It has electric windows . When drivers side window is more than half way down and you try to raise the window it tilts forward and gets stuck . You need to manually hold the window and pull it back for it to go smoothly to the fully raised position . Would this be a failure in the regulator and would replacement of the regulator fix this problem ?

I had to replace the glass and I can't get the new window to slide into that clamp thingy that holds it to the regulator. Its extremely tight. I have an 87 TurboSprint but it looks similar. Any tips would be appreciated!

I need to do mine real soon as the Suzuki Sidekick I had before my tracker had the same problem where it would want to push up at an angle, bind and I'd have to push the window to one side or the other to be able to roll it up all the way. Passenger front is bad also but not as bad as the driver side. I just started looking online tonight for the regulator bu no luck finding one yet. I have a 96 Geo Tracker 4 door, crank, not power window and it seemed power regulator + motor was easy to find but not the crank type. Easy to find the regulator for 2 door also...but apparently I need one for a 4 door. Did I hear you say you "sell" the regulators? And what about that trim you were removing in the video? I need both the inside and outside as mine look like a saw blade they're so trashed from the ultra violet or whatever. I need the driver side front real bad and the passenger also. Appreciate you "steering" me in the right direction. Just replaced the water pump and timing belt on it...oh what fun that was.
Well, I fixed the track now I need to know how to keep the window on track? Doesn’t seem to want to stay in place. This is a very frustrating thing to try and accomplish.
also my a/c switches are all messed up.. having all new napa AC installed today..but the AC control panel doesn't blow on high.. light comes on.. only works at lower settings..what do I need?

My issue are the cables. How to rewire them? Or rethread them? I’m not really sure which term to use? But it is the silver part That’s round that holds the cable wire. They keep getting tangled.
Sounds like it's time to replace the regulator. Once the wire gets off track they're usually worn out. We have them in our Online store at store at Hwy83suzukisalvage.com
