Amazing video!! I appreciate the time and effort that must go into a video of this quality!! At 48:00 you have a note that smoke does not provide any cover factors. In the rule book on page 18 it reads “Units in a Smoke hex receive a +1 CF.”
Another gem Joe...I always enjoy watching your thoughtful, methodic way of presenting the information about these games. I have made purchasing decisions based on your videos! I know it has to be a labor of love as these must be a lot of work to put together, but you do an outstanding job.
Thank you, Thom. My pleasure to do these videos. It takes some work and I wish I had more time to dedicate to them. The whole purpose here is that you decide if a game is right or not for you. That's why for me it's so important to show how the game actually plays, show its components and mechanics, without injecting my personal opinion. On the other hand, I don't do videos of every game that comes out, so, in most cases, I pick the games I do videos for. I have to confess, however, that the videos I enjoy doing most are playthrough videos, but I'm still searching for a way of filming them in a way that they can come out more regularly. I realize now that I learned a good lesson with Dawn of the Zeds 3rd edition, where I just shot the video of me playing the game. This is done as I play the game without much delay. After I played a couple of turns, I then overdub the narrator. This way the video portion is shot very quickly without the need for second and third takes (which usually happens when I film a video clip while narrating it at the same time). Thanks for your suppport, Thom. Cheers.
thank you so much for this!! I was quite intimidated by the rulebook, not being knowledgeable to wargames, but now I feel confident to try the game and enjoy it
Van took the words out of my mouth. Great video as always and the quality is exceptional. No wonder Flying Pigs linked to it. And I also watch You Tube as much (if not more) than TV now. On a different note, and if you don't mind me asking, how come you don't play Twilight Struggle on line with your son? I have been playing with a buddy for a while now and it's great to come home, after work, to see if he has played his move yet. There is also a chat feature so we can rib each other about our bad plays (or terrible dice roles). It can take us weeks to finish a game, but great fun. I love your solo system but it's a shame so many of us have to play solo (LOL). Anyhow, thank you again for doing these videos. They have been very helpful and entertaining. Your B-17 "tribute" video is a classic. You are a classy guy Joe.
Was going to comment, but all those guys before me beat me to it (and probably did a better job). I'll just add my 2 cents' worth to the consensus of opinion on a great video. Look forward to Part Two. Thanks Joe.
This looks a cracking gMe. Had a look around and not found it yet at my normal game stores. Wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't reached the UK yet or if it has, only in small numbers. Until CoH I've not been a fan of tactical level games (usually because I'm a pretty lousy sergeant or captain!) Thanks for another excellent video. Looking forward to part 2.
Great, Great, Great vidéo. The rules are perfectly mastered and very well explained. The pronunciation is clear, I am French and I understand all the explanations. A big thank-you.
Top professionel job. My compliments. There are so many horrible uploads on RUclips in the wargaming/boardgaming genre. Bad lighting, mumbling, sniffing, full of ummms, nonsensical talk, bad sound, difficult to understand accent, just to name a few. None of this with Stuka Joe. Not to mention the high quality of the films themselves. So enjoyable. Many thanks!
Thanks, islandmore. Glad the video helped you make your decision. That's the whole purpose of these things! I like to show the games as they are and as they play. Cheers.
This is in response to severn8012 (for some reason when I try to reply to your message, your message doesn't show). The plus one is a movement penalty which increases the HEF of a firing unit against a moving or moved enemy. This modifier appears in the HEF table in the player aid card. Cheers
¡Gracias! Me ayudará muchíssimo. El juego me pareció fantástico. Con ese y el Battle of Britain tendré lo suficiente para divertirme por un buen rato. !Saludos!
Joe, when you do a tutorial like this or OST, etc. Nothing can compete. You're the ultimate! Thanks my friend.
Thanks, camelx Hol! It makes me very happy that the videos remain useful years after they are published. Cheers!

The absolute best at demonstrating the rules of the game. Thank you, Stuka Joe!

You’re welcome! Great to see that the video is useful. Cheers!
Excellent video, awesome video production. My hat off to you!
Thank you, Nicolas! I appreciate it.
Another top notch video!!! Thanks for showcasing this game, added to my radar.
Excellent; clear case explanations. In focus video, slow enough to comprehend as you go. Joe, you should have been a teacher.
Thanks, Garry. When I retire as a prosecutor, I would certainly consider teaching. You’re right on spot!
This is one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Thanks for making this.

Wow, amazing. You do such a great job with these videos.
Thank you, Mark. It's a pleasure to such a video about this game. Also, the large and beautiful components make things a lot easier, too. Thank you.
Great video for a really fun game. Thanks Joe.
Thanks, Craig. Hope you like part two, also. It has helicopters. But, you already know that ... Cheers.

Hi Joe,
Your videos are excellent, the introductions are inspirational. ;-)
Saludos desde Barcelona
Gracias, Joaquín!
Great video, one of the best i've seen...
Thanks, Kiero. Glad you like this one. Cheers.
Un gran trabajo Joe.
Muchas gracias.
Muchas gracias, Marc.

Brilliant video joe, time for me to spend some more cash!
Thanks, islandmore. Glad the video helped you make your decision. That's the whole purpose of these things! I like to show the games as they are and as they play. Cheers.
Great video my wife order it and the solitaire expansion for my birthday can't wait to give it a try

Nice video.
Will you give us something on its solitaire extension, Alone in the Jungle?
Thank you.
Thank you, Luis, Yes. Part 2 will include an explanation on how the solo extension works, with various examples of play.

When did board games begin using 'action cards'?
Chicanista Revolutia since oh....I don't know..they got modern?
So kinda like Combat Commander Vietnam? I'm in
i dont get needing a card to make an action, why cant you just move units when u want?
It's because it's a card-driven game. You're actions are limited by the cards you have in your hand each turn.
