You quickly talked about how people shy away from the screaming of metal music without taking into account the meaning behind the song one of my favorite quotes for this is: You call it demonic because all you hear is screaming. I call it lifesaving because I hear the meaning.

No doubt, it's mindbogglingly comforting to know that you can type a few words into a search engine and find exactly the song you need when you need it, but the kids will never know that rush of anticipation after flipping the cassette to continue the rock-out, or _Postmortem_ flowing straight into _Reign in Blood,_ or the absolute pauseless tracking on _South of Heaven,_ or falling asleep to _Nevermind_ and being awakened in a panic when _Endless Nameless_ starts, and I was going to say something about the Danzig CD I have with 666 tracks on it, but I just googled around to find the title of track 666 and it's not really mentioned anywhere and I'm worried that the 666th track on that Danzig CD I have is a song that doesn't exist, or it only exists in the universe I'm currently in and only on that CD I have and I may be in trouble about that.
Or track 0 on _Songs in the key of X,_ a song I could only ever listen to on the Discman I had 'cause none of the other CD players in my house could skip to track 0.
I guess the constraints of the medium you choose to enjoy can make the experience more interesting, when correctly made and deployed.

A friend of mine many years ago went through a very trying time and attempted suicide. He was institutionalized for a while as his wrists / arms healed. When he got out, he had lost his home and apparently I was his only local contact. He had no money and nowhere to go. The police called me one evening and asked if they could drop him off at my apartment that night. Contractually, I was not allowed to have overnight guests (without approval from management) but without hesitation, I said: "Yes".
I only had an hour to get ready, so I went to the store, bought a cake, wrote "Welcome Home (Sanitarium) on it and had the song playing as he walked into my place. He laughed and had the biggest smile on his face, and gave me a big hug. We have the same sense of humor. I let him stay with me for three weeks (which is how long I got away with it until the apartment management caught on and threatened to evict me for breach of contract). It was just long enough for my friend to find other arrangements. Heavy metal doesn't end lives, it saves them!

He'll react to 20 metalcore songs In a row and then he gets back to MetallicA it's ridiculous. He did Ride The Lightning pretty fast but he didn't pay attention to any of the songs. When I was in High School, we had to turn in a weekly journal in my 12th grade English class. My teacher didn't care what we wrote about. One week I wrote the lyrics out for this song and turned it in. She commented something along the line of "this song reminds me of my days working in a mental institution while in college". 34 years later and I still remember that day. As an aside, she also played Iron Maiden's version of Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner in class when we were studying that classic.

Yours was the first music reaction channel of this type I ever landed on, back in early 2020. What a gift to watch you enjoy a song without the “necessary” pauses to avoid your video being taken down.

Hetfield is a lyrical genius. Such insightful lyrics and only 24. Man is a legend.

The dark solitude of man and the beautiful melancholy remaining underground are hidden in these delicately textured harmonies.

Hits the heart in so many ways- also some of Kirk's best solo work.

One of the best things about Metallica is that tey arent afraidof the hard subjects. Addiction (Master of Puppets mental illness (welcome home:Sanitarium) after effects of war (One) please keep falling own this rabbit hole!

A few more suggestions for under the radar Metallica songs would be:

    "The Outlaw Torn"
    "Until It Sleeps"
    "My Friend Of Misery"
    "Of Wolf And Man"
    👊🙂
