How to dismantle a figure and use it for another custom. This video also covers how to dremmel a figure and fuse it with the parts from the dismantling process.
7:25 Great tutorial! I use a micrometer to choose a drill bit closest to the diameter of the joint peg or balljoint for the closest tolerance and tightest fit for the arm or head socket. Then I lightly coat the ball of the socket with petroleum jelly and put just enough of the 2 part epoxy or plastic resin to fill the drilled hole with the joint inserted inside (a drop or 2 usually works if done right). Once the Epoxy or plastic resin hardens, you have a fully articulated joint that fits the mating part (the petroleum keeps the resin from fusing the parts together). That's just how I do it and seems to work out great for nice tight joints. It helps to have a nice selection of drillbits and a micrometer.
I'm working with hasbro's new elite trooper for an Echo custom, how do I pop the apart? I've used hot water multiple times and the only thing that comes off is the head.
I’m making a bounty hunter custom that’s a fusion of Kylo ren and a first order storm trooper. I’m gonna sand the face on the helmet and then I’m gonna use this video to help me pop out the for arms
man if yoy have marvel legends figures that you have them 2 or 3 the same figure and they have butterfly joinds you can youse them for the shoulders and not epoxy clay
Saucer Head it’s not about time it’s just about starting a small hole and testing it’s depth. If it’s not big or deep enough then dremel a little more until you have the correct size and depth.

Does the DeluxeTython/Throne Room Boba Fett's pop off at the waist like that?
Do the Captain Rex arms fit onto the old clone body?
I don''t know if the shoulder connection is the same on both inside.

Any tips for when you damage the joint when removing the arm
Instead of Aves for the shoulder socket have you ever used hot glue?
code3collector I have but found it will come unattached pretty easily if you move the arms to pose in different positions.
Do all torsos pop off like that or do you have to torso crack newer ones?
Every black series figure I’ve ever dismantled came apart this way.
Are you able to pull Darth Maul apart?
