I figured out that I definitely had a bad receiver that only worked sometimes and then finally quit altogether even with brand new batteries. So because of this video I ordered a new remote/receiver wiring kit. My old receiver was wired directly to the gas valve like in the second demo but I figured from the first demo that maybe I could just switch out the receivers by taking the wiring out the back of the old one and put those wires in the back of the new one. Never have to touch the gas valve at all, and lo and behold it worked! Now I have a new receiver that works all of the time, even upgraded the remote to one with a screen. Now I have a frustration free fireplace. Thanks a bunch.
I have been searching for hours for this video! I could cry this is so simple! I thought I was going to have to cut into the IPI wiring on my control board. Thank goodness I kept searching. I suppose if someone has a 2 or 3 wall switch plate then this wall mount wouldn't be usable.. and so then the wall wiring would need to be interrupted under the fireplace...
Don’t comprehend my remote , Fire place want come off and on alternate from one to the other, off Thermo it burn, on it don’t burn seems backwards to me, I can run degrees up and down with in three degrees it will work but just laying it down it don’t work automatically, should it or is it designed to always hold it in your hand.
My receiver is sensitive to its orientation. The receiver has to be placed with the battery door facing the wall mounted transmitter for the system to work. My receiver has also stopped “Beeping.” This is problematic. The receiver still functions and “learns” after battery changes. But no beeping. It sucks to be me.
My remote stopped working, I replaced batteries, I still cannot pair. I get the single beep from the receiver but no subsequent beeps to confirm pairing. The receiver works if I use on/off switches but no luck with the remote. Any other things I can try? It worked until yesterday
Try using a small screwdriver on the battery contacts. Mine were dirty from lack of use. Once clean, with fresh batteries, my remote was working normally.
i got a 1410T/LCD-A unit. Turned main switch off and plugged it into 110 and made connections to the gas fireplace. Nothing. Move the switch on the box to on and the flame goes on. Move it to remote, nothing. Press and release the learn button, nothing. Press and hold the learn button for ten seconds, nothing... spent too much time on this thing. UGH? I have a battery operated Skytech unit the worked out of the box... Anyone know what's up with this one?
I had my first box go bad, didn't realize it was batteries and when it failed I found a big ole battery mess in there. So I try to clean it up but it didn't work. So I ordered a new one, and it didn't work. I got a replacement and it doesn't work. I have tested with just one AA battery and the fireplace will lite, I put the batteries in the box and touched one end(the first (-) and the second wire to the last (+) and the fireplace lit. I opened up the box and touched on the wires to the board where the positive and negative come in and it lit. But the switch and remote will not not work to turn on the fireplace. Just getting frustrating, it doesn't make sense. Thanks

Very informative. I will attempt to install two tomorrow and will let you know how that goes.
I installed the remote but they will not turn the fire place on or off for that matter. Not sure what is wrong.
Great video, thank you! My remote is working again!
All of your videos dance around the MILI-VOLT valve needed to go with your sytems. What kind do i need and where to purchase then.

My unit keeps beeping. I’ve replaced batteries and that doesn’t stop the beeping. What’s causing this?

I think this guy was lighting something else up besides a fireplace before he made this video
