I've been seeing your request alot and I've always wondered how that'd happen. Problem is, Tesla is a very new company and it's a little difficult to imagine how the model S would've looked back in the 80s, considering the modern design language lmao

Bmw had their peak on designs in that time. Now they just try to make front grills bigger and bigger on their new models.

The Z4 looks so much better as a coupe, particularly from the rear! I like the changes you made to the front, but still think the previous generations have a more purposeful and sports car-like front end, but it's definitely a big improvement!

Wow! This looks great! I thought something was a little off with the new Z4, but it overall looked fine. Now, it looks even better! Great work!
You won’t mind redesigning a Lancer Evo, do you? It’s fine if you don’t, but the Lancer Evo looked the same from 2009, so it didn’t really have the same style as the other cars in the lineup. So using the Evo X has a base, could you redesign the car? Especially the grille.
Chris Bangle was ahead of his time, his 7 series is my favourite and a very special car from my childhood!

So after all the talking and analyzing you basically just added a roof and left the ugly headlights/ grille/ bumper untouched 🤦🏻♂️

The last z4 really looks more modern and generally better than the new one. I really hate the line that angles down along the side from the rear fender. This is most apparent in the bmw x1 and it just looks really awkward, like the car is tilted down. Cars just look very hyper-aggressive nowadays.

this is the best version of BMW you 've made.
I must say, I didn't think it was possible to fix the Z4 with its (to me) weird proportions and silhouette, but when you can resize wheels and add a roof (as well as the other changes) it really starts to look MUCH better, if a touch generic.
Do the 2017 Alpine A110 redesign. Personally, I love the car but it would be nice to see a redesign from your perspective! Love your content and keep up the great work!
My dad has the 2003 z4, also in the dark grey you showed in the picture, really timeless and still looks good, also sounds very nice with custom exhaust

I didn’t realize how little I liked it until now. You made excellent improvements, esp to that convoluted fluted hood.
Great job! BUT you forgot the most important fix: place the hood line correctly just above the kidneys instead of in the middle of nowhere.
It totally makes a difference!
i've seen it a few times now and its a really good lloking car. the proportions are exactly right it looks much more manly then i thought at first.

I have a first generation Z4 and I sit in my garage staring at it a lot
I read somewhere that the surface lines on the E85 Z4 front fender is supposed to be interpreted as a literal "Z". You can see that when viewed directly from the side angle.
I was soo disapointed when I first saw the new Z4. You really saved it, just sad yours isnt in production.

That upward line in the side panel / sills is a very classic one, it has been around since early British roadsters / convertibles like the mg midget...
BMW should have designed the Z4 this way. I approve!

The back end look so much like a 370Z with the tail light of AMG GT'ish..but still great design for the rear end but I just love the front end designed by you,you nailed it with front end!!..well done..
I remember when I saw the Bangle´s Z4 for the first time. It's one of those cars that still stick in my mind. It was from a controversial but rich era in the design philosophy of BMW. Classical 90´s BMWs and early 2000´s are the best BMW designs ever. Lately though, we´re getting definitely the worst of all time and that's a shame.
1st gen Z4 coupe has that sexy fastback look. That'd what I like it.

I think the character line over the fender/hood you added on the rear view is better than the one at the front view. If you look at the previous generations you see that this line never ended in the grill, but it did in the head lights. What about that? I'd have preferred to see you work on the air breather and the line which goes to the rear. Maybe removing it at the front of the door and extend the other line to the door handle. To be honest, the roof isn't BMW-like enough, it isn't really the Hofmeisterknick we know.
I know I'm a critical person, but in your other videos I saw really good work and I saw that you can do it better.
But all in all nice skills/good job.

If you want to ever do something a bit out of the ordinary: redesign of the Mitsubishi Galant VR4 from around 2000 (it was a JDM only variant of the 8th generation Galant).
I loved how you discussed how the design evolved. Pls more of this with different car models. It could even be a video on it's own, without the redesigning part, just discussing all the details of the designs.

Always loved how the 09 z4 looks
Comparing the architectural aesthetic of the previous model to the “meh” blob with creases applied to the new one was perfect.
The previous one, particular before it’s refresh, had a design. This new one is just a mass of car with headlights and vents shoved in place, like an SLK.
That was really good!! Created the lines over the car nicely!

Love what you've done with the coupe styling. Still not sure about those air intakes on the front though , but l like the curve over the front wheel arch on the front fender , makes a lot of difference 👍

I actually saw the Z4 concept in Frankfurt Autoshow and it was amazing, I was so hyped for it but the new z4 just looks meh not ugly but not awesome, I recently saw one in the streets and I was like why buy this car (especially in Kuwait 50•C in summer and dust in the winter)

That line on the running board that kinks up to the front wheel is in the current Lexus IS except it goes to the rear. For some reason it looks unique on the Z4 but I really hate it on the IS. It makes the IS look like a car in the front that is coming out of another car in the back.

Bringing back the Z4 Coupé? Why if it‘s already here. It‘s called a Toyota Supra. I had the E86 and must say there are few prettier cars. But your variant - although I love many of your redesigns - is not something I‘d buy. I thing the proportions are not good enough.
For me, of the Z cars the Z3 M Coupé is my favorite and Z4 is second. I'd actually like to see you redesign the Z3 M Coupé or the 1998 Toyota Tercel.
