Love to see it, I’m currently taking a road trip with my Tesla from the Midwest to west coast (Washington)for a job, would have loved to joined your trip, If I had to freedom to do so. Be SAFE! God is with you forreal.😭🙌🏼
Everything happens for a reason man. Stay safe and enjoy the journey. I really want to get a cheap used Model Y for around $23k and try going to all 50 states. You motivate me to get out there!
Hey Sandro how about a Q&A about how you are prepared for the trip down. The only group I know that has made it was the long way up team but they had an entire support crew, Rivian, and an energy company that installed chargers and they still ran out of power. My question are: 1) Are you prepared for mechanical issues? What tools will you be bringing? Spare tire? Air pump? 2) How far do you plan to go each day? How much time are you leaving for charging? 3) other than starlink what communication options do you have? Zoleo? Inreach? 4) what visas/custom documents do you need for each country? 5) what is the charging infrastructure like if you do choose to charge from the grid?
Sandro! From the days you had very little subscribers I liked you videos and I said to myself; wow this guy is so awesome and simple and I promised myself to be a subscriber for the rest of your RUclips journey!❤ I wish I could help you out with raising your budget! But “I’m from Afghanistan” u’know 🙂 Love from Afghanistan
Sandro, check out the book “Off the Grid” by Randy Denmon. It chronicles his trip from Louisiana to the Panama Canal. This was in 2014 when most would have assumed it to be impossible.
Thank you for your video, couple questions for you, if you don't mind: - On really long and tight stretches of road, do you plan on what you would do if some other car comes from the other direction? Some areas in your video seemed no way you could U-turn or pull aside - Are you always aware of your surrounding for wild animals, specially when cooking outside with all that smell of food? - You have a model X, would it not have been better to get a small offroad capable RV with all the bells and whistles, I do have one, and I don't see how what you are doing is sustainable from comfort perspective? Thanks again!
Hey great questions. So I do use ‘overlanding’ adquete by honking on tight turns and letting groups coming down a trail giving them right of way. Wild animals dont really scare me as I try to cleanup my mess, and have bear spray and know how to read animal pooopies to see whos around. I prefer a small nible setup (recreational vehicle) as i can do more though trails. The electrons that charge my car are free mostly and with camping mode all baked into the software it’s just so practical. Thank you for these questions! Drive safe, Sandro & Beluga
@@EverydaySandro Thank you for your responses. I will be doing Alaska next September-ish and will watch your videos as one of my educational prep work :), safe travels and keep them coming!
awesome video! I'm wondering if you think an EV is better than something like a Toyota Highlander Hybrid for full-time living? Especially if it's for skiing? The Toyota hybrids can do climate control at night like EVs but are much more convenient to fill up. However, they are also not free to fill up like you say you fill up for free. Wondering what your thoughts are.
Hybrids, they are the worst of two worlds, very complex drive unit too. Ask any Hybrid owner which driving mode they love the best…:). Honestly to each their own, I just don’t like regular maintenance, price negotiations, and having to pay for fuel. Plus you can ‘idle’ anywhere and forever long your heart desires
@@EverydaySandro interesting. I know you've done it, but I'd be a little scared driving the full EVs through the snow when they only get half their range. The benefits are amazing, though.
You should pitch a sponsorship request to Elon. Tweet him. Call him try to reach him. He could give you Tremendous help. Since watching your escapades I would buy a Tesla. Pitch it to him what is the worst that will happen they say no. Big deal you move on. Your channel is your media kit. Do it!
