Thanks for the demo. OLED seems the winner in every comparison IMO. It’s pretty marginal though considering the price difference. Both machines look like they play fantastic. Nice job!
Oled seems to be the better one in my opinion it makes the table stand out like its 3d almost but with a good cpu and gpu you can push it hard. But now the 50 may be better but it just to dark may be the video.
27:45 "Don't blame me in the comments.. I know, I have to fix the jitter" I appreciate the video, could you go into or do another video about how you "fix the jitter" or how you optimize everything? It's always interesting to hear people's methods.
Awesome build. Very lucky customers!! What GPU and CPU did you use to get the LG oled playing sooo smooth? and what settings is the VpX at? Ie table reflection, ball reflection etc..
49" LG 3Dtv with interlaced Top/Bottom and Passive 3D Glasses beats them both, if you can get hold of the old TV. Nothing beats a 3D playfield. Just pray for new 3D oleds.
Nobody knows what they're really missing until they play with a 3D TV. Future Pinball is a 9.5/10. VPX is doing better in the 10.8 but still has to improve a lot.
Both look absolutely amazing! What is the gpu are you using for the oled? I'm also using lg c2 oled as my playfield. What are your tv oled settings? I ask because im trying to troubleshoot an issue with the .mp4 preview not playing correctly on the playfield as you scroll through the pinwheel and land on a pinball table. The dmd and backglass work fine. The weird part is the preview .mp4 plays on the playfield in the media manager in pinup popper setup with no issues. The 4k oled playfield just plays a couple frames of the pinball table lights turning on and off and then freezes for about 10 seconds and then repeats in a loop. Any light you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great videos
Would it have been fine to leave that wide bezel only on the left side of the 50" screen? That way the ball launch is on the other side making the flippers right in the middle? Or would that look weird?
@RobotRon_2084 my original 50 inch build I did for myself with the Simpsons pinball party had the bezel on the left only. Check back on my videos you'll see it. Having the bezel only on the left side makes the screen off centered and it's very noticeable and annoying. I suggest making sure the screen is in the center... so If the left bezel is 1 inch then you should add 1 inch to the right side to even it out.
Aaaaand in the left corner, the 50 inch, the hard hitting, theeeee master of disaster Oscar de la Hoya.. The introduction made me remember boxing intro´s.
you cant but there are some close second alternatives, as i stated in the video... price is a big factor.. and then customers question why cabs are so expensive -_-
Burn-in will be a problem for OLED TVs, especially here with static pinball tables, and the artwork. If you play the same table for long periods, there is a chance of permanent burn-in in parts of bright, sharp artwork - which doesn't move. The LG OLEDS have a pixel refresher, and good picture maintenance, but burn-in is more likely here, than watching TV with constantly moving images.
Greeting. I'll be brief. How do you manage to get such fluid ball movement? I play on AMD ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1060 6 GB, 16 GB ram, M2 SSD, monitor 27 inch LG GL 850 at 144 hz and I set everything to max in 2K resolution but I don't get that ball movement like in your videos. For example, when I run Pinball FX3 on the same settings I get between 150-170 FPS. Very strange. Does this mean that the VP is not the best optimized or I need a stronger graphics card, or maybe there is something in the settings that I should know? Thanks a lot. Greetings from Belgrade
So, if money isn’t the problem. What is better, what would you pick. 48 inch Oled, 120 hz. Or a 43 Led , 144 hz. For a Virtual pinball machine. It has Ryzen 9 comp. And a 4070 card. What screen is better u think?
so which would have the ball and flippers closest in size to real life? the screen scaling would change this so I assume the 42" would be closest? Thank you for the comparison by the way. Very helpful. I wish they still made 46". I would think that would be about perfect.
Unfortently these cabs have been sent out and delivered to customers Reason I didn't do much lights on footage is because of the hi hats I have in my garage, it looked awful and messed up the comparison 😅 If you have the oled... you Def have the advantage
@@KoolKolo I don't know if using OLED is a good idea, it looks great when new, but a large number of solid elements on the image/screen will cause the OLED to burn out - after 2-3 years it will distort colors and have clearly burned areas on the screen. Better use a mini LED or a micro LED. The image is slightly weaker, but they are brighter and do not burn out.
Not really, I would have needed to shoot this video In 4k with a 4k camera... the main thing is to see the colors and such as thats mostly the difference between the 2 screens as 1 is oled and the other is qned
the IR receiver is visible from above?. I want to adjust the screen to the furniture as much as possible and put side leds and I don't know how much the IR receiver is going to bother me. I understand that it should not be covered since in these screens you have to use it to turn it on and off I think
The led rail hides the sensor, but u can get the remote working at a certain angle so you don't need to remove the rail to get the remote to work.... just prepare yourself for doing weird things to get it to react... but then Again once you have the screen dialed in then you'll never need the remote again... these tvs power on once you give them power
@@Vic_VP Thank you very much for answering, I read that you always had to turn the OLEDs off and on from the remote control. That's why I was worried about covering the receiver.

OLED burns out on solid image elements
OLED is better

Jitter is in regard to the plunger. To fix it you must calibrate the plunger in pinscape... thats the only jitter that happens on the video
Awesome build. Very lucky customers!!

Go check the hogwarts and star trek Overview videos I state the pc specs.
It would be better if you didn't have the blue background at the floor which would enable better discerning between the two tables.

But no 120 fps
120hz I'd a must for pinball... I don't no about the tv that is mentioned in this comment 🤷♂️

@@Vic_VP tnx bro
Basically I just gave up. Buddy takes way way way way way too long getting to the punch line.

@joakimkarlsson4274 I'd go 43 oled
48-50 is too wide in my opinion
42 is the sweet spot
OLED will beat any TV in viewing angles, hands down.
@matthewbranham-mdh-2870 yes sirrrrrrrrrrrrrr
C2 is way better no comparison needed

Stay tuned as I'm replacing my 50 inch vpin with a 42inch oled
After owning 2 real pins... the 50 inch is too wide of a grip.
4 minutes in: just get the fuck on with it.
7 minutes in: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
O noooo I'm so sorry u feel that way... here's a lemon 🍋
I use a 48 c2 and in daytime it also looks stunning! Can you also compare them in a less dark situation?
Nice. What settings are you using? I wanted to use the same screen.

Just wondering, - doesnt the jarring and movement ruin the pixels? It would seem that the tv's would last less than a year without any dead pixels?
I've never had any issues or dead pixels from a vpin.
Maybe it's just me but the 50" almost looks too big for my taste.
50inch is only 4-5 inches wider than a wide body cab... from playing my real pins to vpin its not totally noticeable
great work but when comparing monitor quality, best to publish in 4K, no?

I am going OLED.
where do you have your decals printed ?
I make and print the artwork 👍

Lg50qned82 ? Or lg50qned61
Stay tuned for an update video coming soon... 42inch c3 oled

Where can i get the oled?
Best buy 🤷♂️

WICKED.
OLED looks too saturated and unatural. Can't beat a proper monitor :)
