Thanks but I’m not sure if they will be full vertical screen? And I even if they were I’m guessing classic shmups like raiden 2 look very pixelated? Maybe that’s why they are reduced in size with the art around it? I would just love a dedicated shmups machine and I’m hoping this pinball can do it!
After buying a vpin from them, XGC had basically told me they were planning through pre-orders on creating a machine up to the standards of their pinballs. I put down an early deposit and saw upgrade after upgrade very quickly with the main idea of trying their best to create the ultimate plug and play system. Soon after, Jasen jumped on board and I was glad I got in as early as I did. @@dthomasfromnc With that sort of duo at the helm, the prices compared to american products became extremely comparable. I knew this was the case early on and felt like giving it a shot. There's so many great arcades out there but they promised all the modifications I was looking for and I felt this company had incomparable craftmanship. Large decision, but seeing how amazing your pinball looks. No brainer now.
@@dthomasfromnc ruclips.net/video/PBg4GSQxvI4/видео.htmlsi=dFg-ywEAasCnVOZ2 this is how mine turned out after me and darryl went with the idea a drew up. Extremely clean, but tons of RGB LED here and the built in gun stuff is perfect for me.
@@dthomasfromnc Jason Baker works on their drives and not whatever janky Frankenstein thing Extreme Gaming Cabinets in the US does. XGC now has a US side for their arcade cabinets so that is very helpful too.
51:55 - The bowling alley in New Castle, In had the actual pinball machine in the 90s. Never got a chance to play it though. The pinball machine featured in this segment of the video is the same machine, just in virtual form.
I’ve been wanting one of these for a while. The MiniPin would be best for me as I have limited space available. All together with shipping from Australia, I’m expecting it to cost around $5-7k. I’ve got half saved up already. If you don’t mind me asking, how long did your order take to arrive from the day you ordered it? Great video, thx
Well, I waited a while as I initially was getting an order prepared back in 2021. Due to my job, I was traveling a lot, so with this item, I waited because I wasn't home to receive it. Right now, the wait time, if I'm not mistaken, is 10+ months. But I'd reach out to them to see what their current wait time is.
wow, that do look top of the line, i went the semi diy route and bought a flatpack kit a while back that I'm in the process of upgrading. That machine looks so expensive i dunno if i can even afford watching your video lol.
Really great video. What made you go with this table over an Ultra VP table? Have you tried Ultra VP before? Their showroom is only a few states over from you. 😊
@@dthomasfromnc What’s funny is I hadn’t heard of Xtreme before your video. What they pack into the Ultra VP table is something else, but it looks like the two are comparable. The biggest differences I can see are: the price, and one has a 49” 120hz playfield while the other is a 43” 144hz playfield. I’ve been meaning to make my way out to Ohio to check out their showroom. Also, as clean as the Xtreme internals are, the internal organization and switches in the Ultra VP are really next level. All I currently have is my heavily modded Arcade1Up Star Wars table.
I prefer real pinball to vpin, but one of these days the last Addams Family table is going to stop working and no one will have the parts or knowledge to repair it. So vpin maybe what ends up saving these classic tables, without which future generations will be missing out on the greats. They really went all out with this table. So many displays and LED lights. I love that you're such a nerd for this stuff; your enthusiasm shows through.
😁Thanks for the kind words. Authentic pinball will always be GOAT. But like you mentioned, parts will be scarce in the future. With V-Pins, you can have as many table as you like. Can you imagine having 75 different pinball tables in your home? I don't even have the space. So aye, V-Pin it is. 😁
D Thomas congratulations my brother on your new virtual pinball looks real nice man looking at your video now man I am so happy for you and your virtual pinball machine and look fantastic congratulation from get get down Brown known as Darnell Brown
Now that’s a real in depth video but I have one question. I’m pretty sure you can save your high scores on the Pinball but can you save your progress and high scores on the arcade games and light gun games. Also will it support four player games?
Thanks! Yeah, you can play 4 player games. But you'd need a USB hub to connect more controllers. I haven't tried play 4player games with four people on here yet.
Bro that was an epic video. I'm trying to buy mine now from them. I already own the shooter cab they make, I'm gonna get one of these gems now. Quick question how much was shipping for you? I know it's few grand comming from Australia but can you give an idea of a round figure? Thanks.
Lovely machine ❤. The only thing I'd change is. I'd put a coin hopper in the front slot, i don't like the idea of coins dropping into the unit loose. But other than that, a beautiful setup there pal 👍
Check their website for pricing on whichever V-Pin interest you. Depends on what you get. The price will differ. The same goes for shipping, depending on what state/country you're in, and whether you ship by boat (cheaper but takes longer) or plane (more expensive but takes less time).
I love the artwork on it, and it seems to run really well, but for the price I unfortunately think there are too many things they did incorrectly on it. Really good video review though!
Exposed bolts and screws on the outside, playfield LED strip mounted with exposed diodes and no diffusion, side mounted tilt bob rather than center mounted, open mounted PC rather than enclosed, and from the video the monitor appears to be mounted flat rather than angled, just to name a few.
Amazing virtual pin and video. Thank you! I just found your channel and subscribed. I am starting to gather info for purchasing my own virtual pin. Out of curiosity, about how much did it cost to ship from Australia to NC? I live in Virginia, so I imagine would be similar cost. Thanks again!
Thanks for subscribing. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. If I'm not mistaken, the shipping price was like $700-$1000. I've been looking for the paperwork so I can give you the exact amount. But off top, that's what I'm thinking I paid.
This is nice, but I give the nod of approval to the Ultra VP 7 model over this. It's much more expensive for a reason. The craftsmanship and physical hardware layout so much nicer. The added switches to disable hardware features is a super nice option. The topper with lights and additional screen also a nice option. However, screen size might be a deal breaker for some. It's overall dimension is larger than a widebody. Ensure you can physically fit it in through the door way of the room you have planned for it.
The Xtreme has better Cabinets and 144hz over 120hz. The Ultra VP is a HUGE EYESORE imo. These 2 are the best on the market though, no question. I'm 100% going for an Xtreme next year.
If I had lots of cash to throw around, I'd defintely get one of those!! I'm a huge gamer and pinball fan! Shout out to Masters of the Universe, Ducktales and one other 80s one you said (I don't remember LOL). My favorite pinball game that I've played in real life as well as through Visual Pinball X, is Spider-Man (Stern 2007). **Also, all of those pinball games shouldn't have been pre-installed (The seller should've known that because of the sites they got them from). However, not your fault by any means. :) **
damn i JUST BOUGHT one of those arcade1up attack from mars tables, why doesn’t the arcade1up versions of attack from mars and arabian nights look ANYTHING LIKE THIS?! what does a custom cab like this cost because after seeing this video i wish i held off from buying one
Going to place an order soon been doing a lot of research. What made you choose xtreme over rec room.. I am having a hell of a time choosing. This is a 43 and rec is a 49 but the build quality from everything Ive been watching xtrreme wins hands down.
I didn't know anything about Rec Room when consodering a V-Pin, therefore, I didn't even look their way. And the proof is in the pudding with this machine.
@@dthomasfromnc That's surprising. Figured Scantron would have let you know since he has a Rec Room one and has shown them off on his channel a few times. You made the right choice in my opinion with XGC. The only thing people have to know upfront is the wait times. Currently it's over a year on one of their Vpins.
I looked at Rec Room before I went with XGC. The only thing about the Rec Room table is that it’s bigger. Outside of that, XGC tables are miles better.
@@Dwish7669 This was a spectacular review!! Thanks DThomasFromNC! I’m currently on the fence between XGC and RecRoom and they both seem way better than the competition. Why do you think that XGC is miles better? Not that I disagree necessarily, it’s just that I’m having a tough time seeing any big differences or advantages with either machine. Outside of location (I’m in the U.S. so perhaps less shipping/easier customer service for RR?) and size (I’m not sure how significant this really is), they seem very close. This excellent review definitely pushed me in the XGC direction though . . .
@@billthompson57 the reason I went with XGC is because of the videos on RUclips. I looked at RecRoom and Retro Play, another pinball maker out of Australia but once I started watching Darryl’s videos from XGC, I was sold. Nobody shows off their machines like him. He really goes into detail about his machines. Anyone can show off a machine playing tables but Darryl would always show off the insides of his machines. He shows you the parts he uses. He shows you how clean his wiring is. I almost went with Retro Play but he never showed the insides of his machines. Later down the line I found out why. He was using cheap parts and a lot of his customers complained about him telling them they’d get a certain part in their machines and when they received them, it was a totally different part. And now he’s out of business. I know a lot of people are leery to buy from overseas but even if I bought a machine from RecRoom, if something goes wrong with it, they’re not coming to my house to fix it just because I’m in the US. It’s a few years later and I still love my machine from XGC. They’re currently working on an arcade machine for me and a sit down driving cab for me. Darryl and XGC are the best to me.
How long from the time you ordered it to get it? Great in depth video like usual. I watched scantron's vid on rec room world's ultra vp and now I'm torn between which one I want.
It's been since 2021, from when I first caught wind of XGC & they started working on my build of a mini pin. Due to my timing with my job and traveling, I wasn't to get it shipped until now. I'm not exactly sure what their current wait time is at the moment. You'd have to reach out and ask them. Scantron5k's pinball is nice as well. I can see how youre torn. Decisions decisions.🤔
I initially was getting my mini V-Pin back in 2020. So this is something that's been in the works for over 2+ years. Due to my job and my traveling, I had to hold off. I'm not exactly sure what the wait time os currently. You'd have to reach out to the owners for that info. I'd imagine it's a few months. But again, I don't know as of today how long it takes from order to actually delivery.
How was your experience dealing with Xtreme Gaming Cabinets? These machines look top tier! I’ve ready some mixed reviews online but not sure I believe the negative reviews after seeing your video. Lastly how long for it to deliver after ordering?
My experience with them was great. Communication was clear, and I didn't have any issues. If anything, communicate with them yourself and make your own opinion. Not to say other folks may havent had sour experience, i can only speak for me. I originally was getting a machine with them back in 2020 (they started to build), but I had to hold off due to traveling with my job. Once I got settled back home, it was full throttle from there. I'm not exactly sure what the wait time is currently. You can reach out to them for that info. Like I said, my machine was already in the queue once I was ready to move forward, it wasn't too long for me considering the gap in between. Hope this helps.
XGC definitely produces the best consumer VPin. It still baffles me that XGC puts this much detail into the VPin and then chooses to use "hardware store" hardware over true "Pinball Machine Hardware".? The legs are straight "angle iron" and not and flared out. The leg bolts are hex pan-heads with washers and not pinball leg bolts. The hinge bolts are the worst of all because the shiny head is visible, in the playfield area, the threads are exposed on the outside and the actual pinball hinge bolt solves both of these. As a DIYer I built my own using true pinball hardware in every area possible. Baller Installer gets you the Pinup popper FE, wish I had all of the tables all set up though. Just added DOFLinx MAME which has the MX effects with many if the roms.
The legs are not straight angle iron. They are 4mm thick steel and they are flared. "Real" pinball legs are 2.4mm thick steel and the ribbing is required to enhance strength, unlike the 4mm steel of the XGC cab legs. WRT bolts, nothing stopping anyone from replacing them if it bothers them.
Thanks for the Review and setup. Xtreme is the best in the Biz. would like to know what your setup costed you with the joystick controller? that is one sweet setup. I really wanna buy a machine. but heard that the wait time is like 6months to a year. Also How many Pinball Tables come with the machine? there is alot of virtual tables out there. with the software all set up. are you able to download new tables and do updates as well? thanks again.
Premium version starts @ $6460 + upgrades (see website). And that doesn't include shipping (depending where you're located - which will differ). As for adding tables, I haven't tried. There are so many tables to play, I don't see the need to add tables (as of yet). I'm aware newer tables may come out. But this cab is loaded at the moment. XGC has lots of how-to vids on their channel. I'm not 100% sure if you can add tables or not. From my understanding, Xtreme Gaming Cabinets updates their software regularly. If you were to purchase today, youd be getting their latest update. Also, as for their wait times, you'd have to ask them about that as I'm not sure what the current wait time is as of today. Hope this answers all of your questions.
Also, pretty interesting when you zoom in close it looks very real like 3-D but then when the camera is back ways, it looks more two dimensional. Does it look very three-dimensional when you’re playing it? Thanks man.
The camera doesn't really capture things like the naked eye can. It does look very 3-D in person. I mean, you can tell it's virtual. But it looks so good and vibrant...your eyes would be VERY pleased.

@ha_ya_to156 I know exactly what you mean
Awesome video! Just started researching video pinball machines. This looks pretty top of the line!
Thanks! It's top tier for sure.
Should of kept that beast in the garage 😅 .. 3 in 1 is freakn madness.. cool vid 😁👍🏾
🤣🤣🤣thanks, bro! It's pretty cool.
Great review. Incredibly impressive build. Future buy, guaranteed.
Thank you
I have a beast coming next month and a pinball coming later from them! Looking great DT
That's awesome! What made you go with their arcade machine? What sparked your interest?
Thats cool
Wow! That looks cool. Nice video. Subbed!
Thanks for the sub!😁
What an excellent review of your pinball machine!! The quality looks top notch !!
Thanks! It's definitely the cream of the crop.
i stumbled on your channel randomly and this is tthe best youtube video ive ever seen, very informative and now i want this pinball machine.. lol
😁Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
after you using for months, i went to the website, is it worth the big price tag? @@dthomasfromnc
That's awesome. Congrats on cool toys. Love the game room.
Thanks! It's almost just like I want it.
Woah! Now this is a pinball table that I would love to have!
Definitely cream of the crop
That screen is called the Back Box. The Topper is on top of it. Your main screen is called the Playfield.
You are correct 😊
Wow that is beautiful build! That slide out configuration is genius! Well done!
Thanks!!!
This was an awesome video review. How do the dreamcast, ps2, ps3, and especially n64 games run? Are there games like ki games on it also?
Yes, they're on here and seem to run okay from my point of view.
Watching my vids are free. It'll only cost you a little time. 😅
lol i know@@dthomasfromnc
The machine is outstanding as was your review of it
Thanks!😊
Really great video. What made you go with this table over an Ultra VP table? Have you tried Ultra VP before? Their showroom is only a few states over from you. 😊
I never heard of or tried Ultra VP table before. I wouldn't mind checking them out just to see what their machine is like in comparison.
I love my vpin from them. Can’t wait for my Beastcade and Xtreme racer to get here!
Oh wow! You getting the beast cade AND the racer!?!?! Never a dull moment in your crib.
i love virtual pinball! Im hyped for zen studios new Pinball M tables featuring Chucky, Duke Nukem and other mature tables!
Virtual Pinball is super dope! I'm lovin' it for sure.
D Thomas congratulations my brother on your new virtual pinball looks real nice man looking at your video now man I am so happy for you and your virtual pinball machine and look fantastic congratulation from get get down Brown known as Darnell Brown
Appreciate it, bro! The V-Pin definitely is a nice touch and addition to the gameroom.
Love thr review man....although I cant seem to find the mario version you have. Is it on their site?
Thanks! I don't think it's on their site as this was a design I told them I wanted. You could just let them know you want this design.
Thanks man. Surprised how fast you got back to me with a reply. I subbed to your channel. Keep doing your thing man these videos I great!
@NorthShoreDrama I really appreciate you watching! I ALWAYS try and reply ASAP! 😃 I hope you continue to enjoy my content.
I'm wonderin', what's your total pricetag, with all the upgrades and everything loaded in?
Would also love to know is Baby Pacman Pinball in there?
Ballpark of $14k
Now that’s a real in depth video but I have one question.
I’m pretty sure you can save your high scores on the Pinball but can you save your progress and high scores on the arcade games and light gun games.
Also will it support four player games?
Thanks! Yeah, you can play 4 player games. But you'd need a USB hub to connect more controllers. I haven't tried play 4player games with four people on here yet.
Great video, looks extremely fun😂
It is😁
Great review man! Such a cool machine🔥
😁Thanks! It is super cool.
Bro that was an epic video. I'm trying to buy mine now from them. I already own the shooter cab they make, I'm gonna get one of these gems now. Quick question how much was shipping for you? I know it's few grand comming from Australia but can you give an idea of a round figure? Thanks.
I'd say ballpark guesstimate $550 - $800 give or take.
3d too?? Omg, this is a dream!
Lovely machine ❤. The only thing I'd change is. I'd put a coin hopper in the front slot, i don't like the idea of coins dropping into the unit loose. But other than that, a beautiful setup there pal 👍
The onky thing is you'd have to not let anyone put money in the coin door. Unless you really wanted to charge them.😂
Awesome video, I just got an arcade machine from these guys it rocks.
Thanks! And that's good to hear. #GameOn
Man so jealous, this thing is amazing!
It really is awesome!
Been wanting one of these for a while... just don't have the space for it.
That's understandable
How are ya just not gonna play the original Kiss table lol 😮 that is one sweet addition to your collection my friend! Congrats D!!!
I didn't wanna get a copyright strike 🤣🤣 Indeed it is a sweet addition to the gameroom. Thanks bro!
That’s insane truly. I gotta know what this costs and then how much was shipping
Check their website for pricing on whichever V-Pin interest you. Depends on what you get. The price will differ. The same goes for shipping, depending on what state/country you're in, and whether you ship by boat (cheaper but takes longer) or plane (more expensive but takes less time).
The future pinball tables can take nearly a minute to load. The vpx and fx tabkes load in seconds.
Right 😊
I love the artwork on it, and it seems to run really well, but for the price I unfortunately think there are too many things they did incorrectly on it. Really good video review though!
Thanks! What do you feel they did incorrectly?
@@dthomasfromnc that gives me a ballpark idea...thanks so much for the reply. :)
You're so welcome! I have some new V-Pin vids on the way. Keep it locked.
Well, everyone has their preference. I guess it boils down to what you want and your budget.
The Xtreme has better Cabinets and 144hz over 120hz. The Ultra VP is a HUGE EYESORE imo. These 2 are the best on the market though, no question. I'm 100% going for an Xtreme next year.
This machine is straight 🔥🔥🔥
To say the least
Looks awesome. What size screen is the top screen for when you play the light gun games?
Thanks! 32 inch LG.
I forgot to ask in my other reply - I want the real pinball buttons/double leaf switches - how do they feel?
They feel great! I don't think you'd be disappointed.
you're afaik the first person to get that upgrade d, and I'll be one of the first after you @@dthomasfromnc
Nice vid! Machine looks great! How long did it take for production and to receive it?
Thanks! It's been a while. Been eyeing them since 2020 when I was gonna get a mini pin.
Nice, can't wait to have big screens use the same tech the 3ds had, no glasses 3d would be awesome for these machines!
Ahhhh that would be nice. Nintendo should make a 3DS successor.
@@dthomasfromnc Definitely!
Welcome to the XGC family…
❤😊Thanks!
Cant WAIT to get one! I saw "Stranger Things" on there, Can you update it with new tables?
Yes you can
If I had lots of cash to throw around, I'd defintely get one of those!! :) **
I'm gonna have to give that Spider-Man a play through. 😁
@@dthomasfromnc Definitely do that! I highly recommend it. :)
damn i JUST BOUGHT one of those arcade1up attack from mars tables, why doesn’t the arcade1up versions of attack from mars and arabian nights look ANYTHING LIKE THIS?! what does a custom cab like this cost because after seeing this video i wish i held off from buying one
I've never seen the Arcade1up versions. Check the link in the description to check out their pricing for different pinball machines.
@@dthomasfromnc drab colors, not bright
Wish they were local in the US. The shipping cost is understandable coming from the other side of the earth, but still too high.
Won't argue with that. But the machine itself is a sight to behold. Looks amazing in person.
Awesome job, do they offer a product lost of what you machine has? Its a beast
I found it, great video, you do not look like you should know anything about knight rider or he-man, good for you.
I'm an 80's baby...of course I know about He-Man😂😂😂
How long from the time you ordered it to get it? Great in depth video like usual. I watched scantron's vid on rec room world's ultra vp and now I'm torn between which one I want.
It's been since 2021, from when I first caught wind of XGC & they started working on my build of a mini pin. Due to my timing with my job and traveling, I wasn't to get it shipped until now. I'm not exactly sure what their current wait time is at the moment. You'd have to reach out and ask them. Scantron5k's pinball is nice as well. I can see how youre torn. Decisions decisions.🤔
awesome game room and VP. How long did it take you to get yours once you ordered it?
I wouldn't know anything about official hardware vs pinball hardware. The materials look and feel premium to me. 🤷🏿♂️
I would be afraid the quarter would short out a connection!
😂😂😂naah, doesn't seem like that would happen. But I do understand your concern. Wouldn't want to chance anything happening to mess up your machine.
Thanks! appreciate the info..

Sweet. I think I’ll get on the list (1-2 yrs likely 😮)
