In all Dragon Ball what-ifs of villains turning good, I have never seen anyone using the easiest choice of using Devilman and his ability to tap into the evil in people's hearts. It was a really good video though, I hope to see more of it.

I could totally see this happening within the text of the manga. Babidi listens to Dabura and really considers how dangerous Buu is when hes first released, not enough to change events immediately but instead of getting offed by Buu hes prepared and escapes using magic.
Think about how his entire plan was to boost humanity and protect earth. Seeing what happened in the RADITZ saga; two(and a half) aliens protecting earth from a third?
I didn't expect this, but it's an interesting idea. So, I can't wait to see how it turns out. A what if idea I want to suggest (because I don't know if/how it could work) is what if Goku turned evil? For this I mean not what if he didn't hit his head, I mean he was still good but somehow turned evil. The only way I could see it happen was Goku taking Raditz's offer to join the Saiyans, but even then I don't know what could drive him to do that

That combined with a few other things like being taught by the crane school instead of the turtle school could lead down the path of evil. All culminating in goku seeing no way in defeating raditz so joining in him out of desperation.
The way I see it happening; Goku bargains for the safety of Earth by joining the Saiyans, on the express condition that Earth is *his* territory. Raditz would accept because it is easier to get his brother to join on good terms Vegeta would allow it because it's a fourth Saiyan, and Earth is a 'backwater planet' that is not worth alot, so giving Kakarot a low value planet to appease him would be a simple matter. Goku would be trying his best to retain his humanity, but by taking missions with the Saiyans, he gets more of a pragmatic side, losing a bit of his honor.

Word spread quickly of this monster boy in the woods with a tail and the ability to destroy a city. Thus, the stories spread and as goku grows up, he's ostracized by society. When he meets bulma, she is deathly afraid of him and proceeds to try to attack him full force out of fear while trying to escape. Idk something like that seems possible
He's dangerously obsessed with Grandpa Gohan in DB, so it's not too much of a stretch to say he's got a deep-seated longing for a family, or a place to fit in. Raditz offers pretty much exactly that, much moreso than Chichi does.
Magic is so under utilised it's dumb - Buu could end all threats by eating them as Chocalate's or Candies but instead an hour long fight ensues - a what if lightning round with quick elimination would be cool
Unfortunately, the candy can fight back if it's strong enough. Dragonball loves Ki, and magic (as a completely separate force) is left virtually untouched, probably because it's not very martial art-y.
@@repenexus518 The very beginning of the series has Goku make a clear distinction between magic and Ki, and it's very clear that the insinuation that he *might* have used magic angers him. So... yeah, it's very intentional that they've shied away from magic.
@Yamchad I've been thinking about that too. I think magic could have some potential in the Dragon Ball world. I've even made character who is connected to both Bibbidi and Babidi called Pyron-Meii, the Mage King. Pyron-Meii would basically be the Dr. Strange of DBZ, in charge of the mystic arts and Bibbidi and Babidi would betray the original Mage King after he and their society accidentally created Majin Buu.
@repenexus518 Vegito was avle to fight back as a candy because Potaro earring fusions are magic fusions. Buu's magic probably doesn't work entirely on other magic beings like Vegito.

I decided to come back and comment on every single post because I love this series in particular. I love Masako's Babidi voice and I love his characterization of a character that got very little in the main series. It also feels so natural and believable I can see it unfolding in my head in the style of the anime.
I never really thought about how Babidi and Piccolo's backstories were so similar, avenging their father's and carrying out their legacies and all that. This was awesome, I can't wait to see what happens next, or how Babidi will react to Piccolo's story. Perhaps we could get a fusion with Babidi to make him strong enough to re-seal Buu?! The possibilities are endless! Keep up the amazing work guys 😃😃😃

I would quite like to see what would happen if General Blue turned good. Having someone with Telekinesis would be really insane in certain fights, and it seems like a challenge worthy of your skill.
What if Goku was trained by master Shan and or turned good ( There is one that was made by plus ultra man but he didn't finish and i think you would do that better)
Dr Gero really needs a not quite turn good but like a Guts style Anti-Hero situation, Lets say Goku dies early on forcing Gero to step up and start protecting the Earth using his more ruthless methods when Vegeta comes knocking.
I feel like Babidi would make for a good underling to modern Freeza, he is sly and conniving, but his character sort of feels like it would fall in between the personalities of Kikono and Berryblue, intelligent and willing to talk back to Freeza, but quick to back pedal and grovel when hes gone too far and annoyed the galactic emperor.

You know what I just came up with this off the top of my head but I thought it would be an interesting what if idea, what if Goku became evil. A little far-fetched but especially with the whole idea of the "make so and so good" what ifs I think this would be a nice counteract to that with an interesting premise knowing you
Ok, I've got one that's out there, and I haven't really been able to afford a super chat, but try What If Gohan Turned Evil? Not a one-off (or two-off) Majin Gohan who comes to his senses, but a steady negative character arc that leads to a point after which there's no turning back. A slow-burning, growing hatred of his father that Goku himself doesn't notice until it's too late.
Was doing something totally different, but when this came up and I realized the title wasn't a hallucination, I clicked immediately. It still seems a little off, but since we know so little about Babidi, really does work!
What if Dabura turned good!?. And remember Dabura recognized the treath that Majin Buu was and tried to stop it so you could pick up from there. Plus I want to see Dabura spit on immortal Zamatsu and turn him to stone.
That be cool although i kinda wish Dabura was the main villain in the Buu arc that way we could've seen what the demon realm looked like and maybe demons invading Earth and all the Z fighters would've had to get involved for their own survival and to protect all their loved ones

Impossible challenges: Puar and/or Oolong becoming productive Z-Fighters. The problems they could cause in "away missions" with their shape shifting would be priceless.
What if after the Tornement of destroyers. Beerus asks rhetorically, "Hmmmm, now what should I wish for?" Bulma after seeing how stoic and wistful vegeta was after meeting Cabba says out loud, "Why not Resurrect Planet Vegeta and the sayians" Vegeta darts his gaze a bulma with shock and confusion. Jaco exclaims "Are you crazy!!" Everyone is shocked Except beerus and whis, and goku whom is just confuses and pretty neutral about the idea as he is still thinking about his battle with hit. Beerus ponders the idea, The idea has more attention than normal bc of the recent encounter with Zeno, "A Tornement with all the universes" he thinks 🤔 He says, "Very well, whis go ahead" as to make it seem like hes doing the mortals a favor but is secretly doing it for his own self interests. Jaco nearly has a stroke 😱 Vegeta sweats😳 The wish is made

I honestly never thought about if the potato of a wizard ever mending his ways But I do have an idea of a What If, but I'm not necessarily sure how it would work. "What If Caulifla was from Universe 7" or something along those lines. As we've seen in Dragon Ball Super and the T.o.P, we've seen first hand that Caulifla, for whatever reason, is prodigy when it comes to raw power, but we haven't really seen her character on her own or even know much about her background other than she has a brother, she's the leader of a gang, and her and Kale are close. I think it would interesting to see her grow a bit more and give her own input on the events of Dragon Ball Z. Again, I have no clue how this would be done, but I think it's a neat little idea nonetheless.
Really good story, I like what your doing here and this opener came off cool, I don't know where it will lead but it is a interesting concept due to the unlicklness of it working yet finding a scenario where it could work. Remember the TNG episode Redemption Part 2 where Data was made acting Captain of the USS Sutherland? what if he and that ship and her crew were sent to the Delta Quadrant instead of Voyager? What do you think would have happened changes-wise?
This is legitimately something I've never thought about but the more I'm thinking about it the more interested that I am. I can't wait to see what bobbity might do during the tournament power
One thing I would love to see would be a story that focused more on the rest of the z-team, a "what if the rest managed to keep up with the saiyans" sort of deal. I enjoy the saiyans fighting as much as the next guy, but it is always the same brutish fighting, which is why I enjoy Krillin, Piccolo and the rest much more, they are smart about their tactics and have a level of finesse that the likes of Goku and Vegeta simply does not have. The reason for this change would have to be something that the saiyans would not be able to participate in for one reason or another, taking inspiration from the likes of Ultra instinct perhaps there could be a sort of "inner peace" state that the rest could achieve. How would that change things that the saiyans are not the only ones carrying the story forward? Heck...there seems to be a dozen of powers that have been left unexplored, like Chiaotzu telekinesis or indeed like magic that the likes of Babidi and Baba have access to. And perhaps Bulma could actually study how Ki actually worked and give them a leg-up. Surely the strange power all her friends has would be immensely interesting to figure out? I would love for them all to get a moment in the spotlight to do something really cool and impactful rather than just sort of be there.
Alright screw it, what if Towa was good, or alternatively, what if Towa cared about Dabura getting possessed by Babidi? I think her being present in the Buu Saga could lead to some interesting results, or just have her pull a Trunks and head into the future to prevent Babidi from taking over her brother at all.
Here's one for ya if your interested: What if future Trunks turned evil? Maybe when he went back in time he drank the black water mist? Or a wish for power gone wrong?
@maskaox love your what ifs, maybe a few new ones you could do. Like what if goku took Frieza offer and work under him or what if king kai taught the z fighters before raditz and even taught them instant transmission because king Kai did learn it
From the moment i saw the "What if ____ turned good" serie, i thought to myself, what about the villains from the first Dragon Ball? What if the likes of King Piccolo or even the Pilaf gang (prior to super, obviously) turned good? Also, I think that Babidi's presence in that moment can't be that much of a game changer in the situation, he can still help them through magic but it's hardly going to make any difference. As for his future, is no secret the fact that Piccolo could relate to Babidi and try to redeem him, making him an asset seeing his true potential. This could even lead to a point where Babidi could actually end up knowing the real Buu, instead of the Monster he thought about and maybe, could try to earn Buu's forgivness

Dr Gero really needs a not quite turn good but like a Guts style Anti-Hero situation, Lets say Goku dies early on forcing Gero to step up and start protecting the Earth using his more ruthless methods when Vegeta comes knocking.

Drawing parallels between Babidi and Piccolo is very clever, I see what you did there.
I feel like Babidi would make for a good underling to modern Freeza, he is sly and conniving, but his character sort of feels like it would fall in between the personalities of Kikono and Berryblue, intelligent and willing to talk back to Freeza, but quick to back pedal and grovel when hes gone too far and annoyed the galactic emperor.
This video premise was definitely a curve ball, I never expected this. 😂

A little far-fetched but especially with the whole idea of the "make so and so good" what ifs I think this would be a nice counteract to that with an interesting premise knowing you

Ok, I've got one that's out there, and I haven't really been able to afford a super chat, but try What If Gohan Turned Evil? Not a one-off (or two-off) Majin Gohan who comes to his senses, but a steady negative character arc that leads to a point after which there's no turning back. A slow-burning, growing hatred of his father that Goku himself doesn't notice until it's too late.

Was doing something totally different, but when this came up and I realized the title wasn't a hallucination, I clicked immediately. It still seems a little off, but since we know so little about Babidi, really does work!

What if Dabura turned good!?. And remember Dabura recognized the treath that Majin Buu was and tried to stop it so you could pick up from there. Plus I want to see Dabura spit on immortal Zamatsu and turn him to stone.
That be cool although i kinda wish Dabura was the main villain in the Buu arc that way we could've seen what the demon realm looked like and maybe demons invading Earth and all the Z fighters would've had to get involved for their own survival and to protect all their loved ones
@@lordhades598 sounds cool BUT if Dabura turned good he could get a character arc where he goes to the demon realm to reclaim his title as the Demon King (plus we could get more info on the demon realm and maybe even learn Why despite the Omni king having control over all the universes it seems his control doesn't extend to the demon realm or so I think).

@@kelvinsantiago7061 that be a good idea there is a fanfic of the mother of all angels going rouge with her children from universes 13 through 18 I believe but that also has Frieza as a god of destruction for one of these universes as well which would be insane if he got access to that kind of power in the future of the series. It would be refreshing if we got a Canon female main villain of the series since we haven't got one besides in dragon ball fighters with Andriod 21

For the record, I am down with this. A What If can have low probability, as long as it is plausible.

But I do have an idea of a What If, but I'm not necessarily sure how it would work. "What If Caulifla was from Universe 7" or something along those lines. As we've seen in Dragon Ball Super and the T.o.P, we've seen first hand that Caulifla, for whatever reason, is prodigy when it comes to raw power, but we haven't really seen her character on her own or even know much about her background other than she has a brother, she's the leader of a gang, and her and Kale are close. I think it would interesting to see her grow a bit more and give her own input on the events of Dragon Ball Z. Again, I have no clue how this would be done, but I think it's a neat little idea nonetheless.
Really good story, I like what your doing here and this opener came off cool, I don't know where it will lead but it is a interesting concept due to the unlicklness of it working yet finding a scenario where it could work. ALl I can say is good luck and hope it goes well.
To anyone reading this comment who are Star Trek fans I have a what-if theory question. Remember the TNG episode Redemption Part 2 where Data was made acting Captain of the USS Sutherland? what if he and that ship and her crew were sent to the Delta Quadrant instead of Voyager? What do you think would have happened changes-wise?
I'm going to watch this later, but even seeing Frieza turn good was more expected to me than this.
This is legitimately something I've never thought about but the more I'm thinking about it the more interested that I am. I can't wait to see what bobbity might do during the tournament power
One thing I would love to see would be a story that focused more on the rest of the z-team, a "what if the rest managed to keep up with the saiyans" sort of deal. I enjoy the saiyans fighting as much as the next guy, but it is always the same brutish fighting, which is why I enjoy Krillin, Piccolo and the rest much more, they are smart about their tactics and have a level of finesse that the likes of Goku and Vegeta simply does not have.
The reason for this change would have to be something that the saiyans would not be able to participate in for one reason or another, taking inspiration from the likes of Ultra instinct perhaps there could be a sort of "inner peace" state that the rest could achieve. How would that change things that the saiyans are not the only ones carrying the story forward?
Heck...there seems to be a dozen of powers that have been left unexplored, like Chiaotzu telekinesis or indeed like magic that the likes of Babidi and Baba have access to.
And perhaps Bulma could actually study how Ki actually worked and give them a leg-up. Surely the strange power all her friends has would be immensely interesting to figure out?
I would love for them all to get a moment in the spotlight to do something really cool and impactful rather than just sort of be there.

Alright screw it, what if Towa was good, or alternatively, what if Towa cared about Dabura getting possessed by Babidi? I think her being present in the Buu Saga could lead to some interesting results, or just have her pull a Trunks and head into the future to prevent Babidi from taking over her brother at all.
I was thinking something along the lines of Babadi not knowing morales due to being raised by Bibidi, but this works too.
Here's one for ya if your interested: What if future Trunks turned evil?
Maybe when he went back in time he drank the black water mist? Or a wish for power gone wrong?

@maskaox love your what ifs, maybe a few new ones you could do. Like what if goku took Frieza offer and work under him or what if king kai taught the z fighters before raditz and even taught them instant transmission because king Kai did learn it
From the moment i saw the "What if ____ turned good" serie, i thought to myself, what about the villains from the first Dragon Ball? What if the likes of King Piccolo or even the Pilaf gang (prior to super, obviously) turned good?
Also, I think that Babidi's presence in that moment can't be that much of a game changer in the situation, he can still help them through magic but it's hardly going to make any difference. As for his future, is no secret the fact that Piccolo could relate to Babidi and try to redeem him, making him an asset seeing his true potential. This could even lead to a point where Babidi could actually end up knowing the real Buu, instead of the Monster he thought about and maybe, could try to earn Buu's forgivness
