Heh. I think we really need international name for Wrocław bc every time when i hear warclaw i go full LMAO. I'm not linguist but if i try to wrote this name for english speaker it would be:

There is a lot of polish dishes worth food tourism. From full dinner options like Żurek soup, Gołąbki(cabbage rolls), Bigos(hunters stew) and lots more for simpler dishes like just cutlet with young potatoes and cucumber salad or straight up sausages. And dont forget about street food and famous zapiekanka.

Be it the Maultaschen of Germany, Italian Ravioli, Ukrainian Pelmeni, Chinese Wonton, or Polish Pierogi... you boil them. Heck, if you include steam boiling as boiling... almost every Asian dumpling is boiled. Even Gyoza that start with being fried on one side, are then steamed.
But hey... you're an American. You guys eat deep fried butter. On a stick. So, I get it.

classic pierogi are boiled and dough is madde of water, flour and salt(sometimes egg, but I'm not reccomend it), after boiling and letting them get cold or next day like we doing on christmas you can fried them on pan with butter that ones are my favourite, the other side of coin is yeast dough what is using to make oven-baked version(not so common in polish home) thats why they looks so pluffy and this is totally different experience, i hope i helped you a little :D

My favorite way of serving pierogi is to boil them and then to scorch them on a pan to get a nice gold-ish crust.
