I believe there are certain movies that should be left alone and this is one of them. Classic horror film that did what it was supposed to do, scare the *&?"# out of you when you first see it.
I was part of the very first test screening of this movie at AMC GSP before it was released. David Gordon Green was in the audience and I approached him before the movie began and lied through my teeth telling him I loved what he had done with the Halloween trilogy. I had an insane amount of issues with this movie and remember giving it a fair but decently scathing review on the form they had us fill out after the film had ended. There’s a reason they scrapped this trilogy and are rebooting it with Mike Flanagan - and I could not be more excited. The only thing I’m dying to know is what the third film would’ve been called. First is Believer, second was supposed to be Deceiver - would the third be Receiver?
The original made me laugh more than this one possessed Regan is comedy gold we loved every second she was on rest of it was boring n subsequent viewing it got better but dam never scared one second of it this one wasn't scary but more serious more strange forward style to it and once it was done boom over I got it all vs the original where there's so many plot threads and stuff they skip over that I had a bunch of questions by the end and that ending so anticlimactic I mean lots of parts reminded me of Halloween including them beating the evil by throwing it out the window and I figured its gone the priest is still there dying but the demon is gone but don't mean its in he'll it probably went after someone else lol all this just a game to this thing likes to f with people lives lol but then they have all that with the family moving and the priest and the cop lol that's like if they ended Halloween with Michael being gone then they cut to Laurie bring taken to the hospital and Loomis and bracket goes to hang out lol wtf lol loved this movie lol only nitpick is I wish they did a halloween Easter egg especially since it's same director they could have did something to connect them they so similar would explain a lot give context to this evil Michael has all the descriptions look is gives Michael is he's possessed better possession too not comedy more creepy just like this more creepy not comedy lol those little girls act like Michael like regan did at first when possessed lol

We say give us more exorcist movies that turn into comedies

Once nostalgia syndrome kicks in, TE Believer will go down as a classic.
I promise you it will not.
