      Is that bone not present or can't be sensed on the other side that is normal?

      @dansir4102 9 месяцев назад +14

      @@DarainZahra-nn4ez sorry for the confusion.
      It was NOT a bone. It was a muscle. It was just so tight that it felt like a bone. It was very hard and still and painful to the touch.
      I poked and proded at it until i could close my jaw normally, though it still had a light pop. After a couple of days now it is about 90% well again.
      I feel I am currently at risk of injuring it again. But I will give it rest and continue massaging it until it has been well for a couple weeks

    • @vi3tra
      @vi3tra Год назад +14

      No that is not for all. Mine started when I was 15 because I got my wisdom teeth out and they left me with a uneven bite. The uneven bite caused me to grind my teeth. I asked them if they could fix it by smoothing the other teeth or something and they said no. Now it is so bad that it pops out of the joint. I can barely touch the joint. My jaw is so tight I sound like I have an accent even though I’m American.

      @@braderley I said I sound like it. When your jaw is as tight as mine is, it's hard to open your mouth and therefore it's harder to say certain vowels or words. My jaw gets to a tension point where it gets stuck and then it has to pop to open the rest of the way. But I can't do it while I talk. So I have a limited amount of space to be able to speak... it's actually common if you get severe TMD.

    dislocated my jaw a few years ago. The tmj disc has moved from its place on the right side (you can see it in the MRI). Today I open my mouth in an s shape. I tried to consult experts but they don't know what can be done. Is there an exercise I can do to put the joint back in place? Does it make sense that after the discharge my jaw tends towards the discharge but the closing of the mouth is normal?

    Hello, I’m 18 and for some while I experienced the pain, however it’s gone like a week ago. For some reason when try to leave some space between my upper and lower tooth I feel a slight vibration of my jaw. Should I be worried?

    I think I found it and in my case, my tmj is still purely cosmetic so I just feel some tightness and for the rest an asymmetric jaw. So yeah, I found this muscle and I felt that it was bigger and stronger/tighter than the left one. The thing that confuses me is that my masseter muscles (and In general my left jaw) are imbalanced oppositely, so the left one is bigger than the right one even though the right side is tighter and that one inner muscle is bigger. My tongue is also bent on the right side, like it gets lower on the right like a slope. I really wanna address this whole stuff mainly cause of insecurities but also because I think that over time it could become a serious issue all combined. If anyone has any advice, I will warmly accept it, please

      Look into CFT, fascia exercises in general. You might have some form tongue tie that that might be causing imbalances.
