Just checked this out and pics of the chilaquiles, mole, and tostadas look great! I’m going to get car next time to get to places other than basically just out main roads like Benito Juarez or Constituyentes where it’s easy to walk around and get cabs back. Thanks!

@@FindMyFoodStu secret item here is the ceviche. The best I've ever had. Make sure you try that as well as the other items that you mentioned.

The food on Quinta Avenida is a huge disappointment. There’s barely any real Mexican food to be found. Most is Italian, French, or hot dog, hamburger, and pizza joints and cafes everywhere. Might as well have stayed at the Jersey Shore. Que Huevos is horrendous. We had the most unfortunate experience there thanks to the very rude, arrogant waiter. The food was mediocre and certainly nothing special. For real, authentic Mexican food in Playa, you have to walk about 15-20 minutes away from Quinta Avenida. That’s where all the food stands are and where you’ll find delicious tacos, birria, fruit, coffee, sweet bread etc. Most importantly, you’d be supporting the local vendors who are not allowed to setup anywhere near Quinta Avenida. Please support the locals!

I agree with most of this. Except I love Que Huevos (sure nothing special but was my go to spot across from where I lived for a while) so sorry you had a bad experience there. And yeah, you have to walk to at least 30th Ave, and really further for Mexican. I’ll take Mexican street carts over Surf Taco down the Shore any day!
