Find My Food Stu
США
Добавлен 15 авг 2019
I'm Stu, and I'm on a mission to find the best food and drink everywhere I go. I guess you can say I make videos about food, drink, & travel.
Why about these three things? Because those are all things I love. I grew up working in my parents restaurant and learned how to cook by watching my dad. My parents took me on my first international vacation to Belize when I was just 5 years old, and I still remember some of the people I met and the food I ate. That first trip inspired me to keep travelling as an adult! I've also been known to knock a cocktail or two back.
So now when I travel, I'm always trying to find the best restaurants and the best food wherever I am.

Is Hyde Park Tampa's Best Neighborhood?
When Janice and I decided to move down to Tampa with our newborn daughter to be closer to the grandparents, I didn't know what area to live in. So, I reached out to realtor and RUclipsr Adam Morejon to get his thoughts on the best neighborhood in Tampa for families. By the end of our call, I knew moving to Hyde Park was the right move for us.
In addition to being a beautiful and safe neighborhood, we could go for walks along the water on Bayshore Boulevard and shop at Hyde Park Village. There was even a coworking space right there. But perhaps the best part as all the bars and restaurants on South Howard Ave, known as SoHo.

Why I Love Tampa’s Channelside District
Просмотров 2205 месяцев назад
The Channel District in Tampa, sometimes known simply as Channelside, is one of the most popular places for young professionals to live. It is filled with luxury high rise buildings with amenities like pools and gyms. And it is very walkable with many great restaurants. Sparkman Wharf and the Florida aquarium are two of the biggest reasons to visit this area. Plus, it is located right next to d...

Cut ur hair...please. u're way cuter with the short hair.
Or do a real job, whatever 😅
@@ModernGentleman I probably shouldn’t be throwing stones in glass houses…
Keep it up Stu! Try Puerto Rico again I recommend checking out the south end of PR
Thank you , im going in a week!
@@annegrier6623 hope the weather is great and you have a blast! I didn’t include them in the video, but if you want a nicer dinner out, try Joseph’s by the Sea. Big Daddy’s is also good. And JJs Eatery is popular for breakfast.
It's no wonder everyone is hitting the gym. With a food & beer lineup like that your gonna need to shave some pounds.
Yeah… I need to get on that asap. Ugh.
Grew up there partly❤luv oob! Mmmpier french fries
Great video. Wish i was their.
Great video Stu. Keep em comin!
Bro not even drinkin the beer
😮you have got to be kidding me not professor thoms 😢
we came across the frozen Mojito in Los Ayala. Game changer on a hot day! So good. and jerked chicken too!
Any frozen drink is great on a 90 degree day! Oh sorry, you use that weird Celsius… any frozen drink is great on a 32 degree day!
@@FindMyFoodStu loll We grew up when they implemented the Metric system here. more likely to say km/h than m/ph but rarely refer to temperature in Celsius. 90 just sounds hot. 32 sounds cold 😄
Dad better
I dad pretty well thanks! 👍
Looks like that dog has a dog's life. pretty sweet. bark under the sun and moon at all hours from his safe rooftop castle. a dogs life for sure.
Hear it before you see it... They should call it the Doppler LOL
That looks like we would be right in our element there Stu. Thanks for sharing!
Even though it’s not “right on the beach” It would totally be a spot you’d love!
Thank you. I like you.
The food on Quinta Avenida is a huge disappointment. There’s barely any real Mexican food to be found. Most is Italian, French, or hot dog, hamburger, and pizza joints and cafes everywhere. Might as well have stayed at the Jersey Shore. Que Huevos is horrendous. We had the most unfortunate experience there thanks to the very rude, arrogant waiter. The food was mediocre and certainly nothing special. For real, authentic Mexican food in Playa, you have to walk about 15-20 minutes away from Quinta Avenida. That’s where all the food stands are and where you’ll find delicious tacos, birria, fruit, coffee, sweet bread etc. Most importantly, you’d be supporting the local vendors who are not allowed to setup anywhere near Quinta Avenida. Please support the locals!
I agree with most of this. Except I love Que Huevos (sure nothing special but was my go to spot across from where I lived for a while) so sorry you had a bad experience there. And yeah, you have to walk to at least 30th Ave, and really further for Mexican. I’ll take Mexican street carts over Surf Taco down the Shore any day!
Is this all on the beach player naughty
Yes, all the places in this video are right on Playa Norte or nearby in the downtown area. If you want more details about great restaurants in Isla Mujeres you can go to my written article here and also find some other posts I have. findmyfoodstu.com/best-bars-restaurants-isla-mujeres/
You ever see when Homer drools on The Simpsons? That's how I felt when I saw that pepper cut in half😂
chilaquiles divorciados!
I'm not typically a fan of divorce, unless it comes in the form of huevos divorciados in Mexico!
that looks awesome!
Do not like ZZQ. The meat is good. However, prices are crazy. One beef rib cost $50. No sides. No beverage. The sides are pretentious, expensive and of low quality. Someone would do better going to Mission BBQ. The brisket is better. The prices are reasonable. Sides are good.
I love ZZQ. I think the brisket really is top notch and like the other meats too. But I hear you, prices are definitely thru the roof there.
@@FindMyFoodStu The rib was good.
The baby has cute chubby cheeks and she waived!
Harbor Docks is awesome, old school seafood restaurant. Been going there since the 1980's. Taken several charter fishing trips right out back.
Yeah, if I lived in Destin full time I’d probably go there the most. Great food and they have some reasonably priced options. I love the bar at Boshamps too, but I’m not gonna pay $46 for the awesome Snapper dishes all the time and fight crowds.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
I always enjoy your vids! Keep up the great content and enjoying your life eating and drinking 😅
Thanks! I’m gonna need to start making some “go to the gym” videos though if I keep this up!
Your videos are amazing. I really like it. I am a new subscriber to your channel. Can I talk with you Broo?

Tacos are the best.
Hell yeah Stu!
I live in Worcester it’s not even bad
Love your content, I hope more people get to see Stu!
Hmm... maybe I'll TRY to use Spanish when they TRY to use English...
I really wanted to practice my Spanish and get better. I did get better, especially when it came to ordering at restaurants, but their English is generally so much better than my Spanish that they usually just responded in English. I need to practice a lot more.
Stu you’re the best.
Too much self talk = boring.
Thanks for the input. Definitely not great at creating content solo like this.
@@FindMyFoodStudon’t change your style. Love it.
Disagree. Green is usually the more sour one.
To clarify… while the exact origin isn’t known, burritos ARE from northern Mexico and the southern U.S. border areas. They just are not from this region and you won’t find them here often.
Bruh I can make that sandwhich 💀
Oh for sure… but when you’re on vacation would you rather go out and grab a coffee and breakfast then head down to the beach or wherever or spend your time going to the grocery store and then cooking every meal?
i mean i agree, but on that note, get the F out of PDC
Ha, I get it. But it’s a good place to go if you’re working remote with a couple cowork spots and a lot of stuff within walking distance though. Personally, I love Holbox for being in Q.R. but the WiFi is shite.
Great editing man keep up the good work
Took your advice today and went to Los hijos de Las tostadas 🎉 Can I mention you in a upcoming video and credit you for the suggestion?
Was it good advice? If so of course! I still dream of their sandia (watermelon and tuna) tostadas 😊
Lmao.
I went for it. It didn’t work. 🤷♂️
Im having unclean thoughts
What’s with the color filter
The weird little thingy at the beginning and thumbnail? Yeah, tried it. Don’t love it. Will probably not do it again. Unless you’re saying there’s a filter somewhere else? Which I don’t think I have one 🤷♂️
Great homage to Harbor Docks. We started going there in 1979 when they opened and my brother Tom worked there for quite a few years. We used to pull the Luhrs 60 at the end of the dock and walk in from the water. Best place in Destin imho although with my now living in Aberdeen, WA, I haven't been back down in 16 years. But I never have nor ever will forget it! Thanks for the most recent review on YT.
HD is still a great place! But I imagine Destin is quite different than it was in 1979.
@@FindMyFoodStu I was there last in 2010 well after they had built the Emerald and Harborwalk so it's probably close to the way it was. Although I know the area down by the Back Porch has exploded with high rises! We used to go there back when nothing was around it!

He didn't invent sheite. It's called rails to trails and has been around since the late seventies/ early eighties
Yes, but in more suburban spots like Rome. Nobody said he invented anything, but even the creators of the Beltline mark his thesis as the start of planning the Beltline in Atlanta. Regardless, it’s an awesome city project, although there are some unintended consequences and promises that haven’t been met.
That's pretty cool
I didn’t bike the entire loop, but did for some parts of it. It’s a great way to get around!
And every Texan including Sam Houston from his grave is yelling “HEWston”. Dude, wherever you’re from, GO BACK there. Don’t come here and disrespect us.
Didn’t get the point of the video huh?
Yes it’s a real job still
