I'm personally a bit surprised to see the belt with the overalls, partly because the suspender straps fill the same role of keeping your pants up. I like that outfit the best out of all those in this video, though.
Not really. Sometimes overalls have a gulp, and that can say something for what its worth. The most problematic figure difference is eliminated, the torso/hip ratio does no longer matter. When thrifting I found measurements are not always done on the correct aspects. You need 3 things: waist, which is 3-4" above your jeans size. Inseam, which may be 1-2" shorter than normal due to the hanging nature. And the hardest, as nobody measures this online (you SHOULD ask sellers on Etsy, vinted and such) is crotch-top bib and bib width. It is crucial to have proper chest coverage. Especially with a longer torso, beware of this.
