- Showing off my Singing Christmas Tree from EFL Designs with star topper. Tree has 350 pixels, 300 in the tree and 50 in the star with a PVC exoskeleton for support and so the tree is free standing.
Your videos on the singing trees inspired me to do this project. I received four trees a couple of weeks ago and I am painting them now. I am planning to add them to the Christmas light show aboard the Navy base in Bahrain this year to bring a little more Christmas to the Middle East. What PVC part touches the back of the tree on the exoskeleton? Thanks.
I think it was called a "Reducer Bushing"
Can’t wait to get the stuff to do my show this year, I’m intimidated but excited 😁
How’s it coming along champ?
@@curtiscbear I still haven’t even gotten anything yet :( hopefully next year.. I’m not gonna let it get away from me
@@huntershortrepairs No worries. Yea always next year. This will be my second year doing a show. Good luck with it
@@curtiscbear thanks! Hopefully I’m smart enough to figure it all out lol 😂
@@curtiscbearwhere did u get them ?
The tree should totally sing “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley.
I just wanted to say what a great job you have done with the tree. would you ever entertain an ideal of making a few for someone. I do realize it's a lot of work!
First! Love your videos John!
Love it
Hi my friend can u help me out like to starting put that on my house love it lights
Anyone know what part he's referring to as "nipple"? It's touching the back of the coro where the bolt goes through.
I’m just starting to learn so have a question. Does each strand of pixels have its own channel for the mouth movements or the border strand and each of the eyes?
Each individual bulb on the prop has 3 data channels. I have 7 strands of 50 pixels daisy chained for a total 1,050 channels. The xLights software takes care of all of this. In xLights I have a submodels of the prop. One for the outline, one for the star, then the mouth movements are mapped to a timing track.
at time mark 9:16 you speak of uploading MP3 and lyrics to have it map it it together, how do you import/use in xlights?
Hi John. Could you share the details from BoltDepot for the Washer that goes in the front of the coro?
The washers/fenders I put on the front I think I found at Home Depot. On Bolt Depot they would be: Fender washers, Stainless steel 18-8, Product# 2931: 1/4" x 1"
Can you do this with govee string lights
No
How many points of power injection did you use?
Just one. 350 lights off of the port, running lights at 30% brightness.
Where did you order these?
