Love this update, thanks for sharing your trip with us. I hope your little Subaru is ok! That sounds very stressful to be dealing with in such a remote location.
Thank you for your nice comment - I am glad you enjoyed my video. Yes, it is a bit stressful to drive an older car like mine through remote locations, but on the other hand, I wouldn't swap my Subaru for anything else :)
I started watching your videos to live vicariously through you until my next road trip vacation, but I had to comment on this one. This is my favorite video so far, not only for the amazing scenery but you recorded ravens and I love ravens! They can make some really weird noises if you hang around them enough and they are so so so much bigger than their cousins, crows. Keep up the great content and hopefully that noise was just a wheel bearing starting to go bad.
The images you share with us from these places are really beautiful, they are incredible and wonderful... it seems that you have to be very careful with bears, pumas, wolves and other wild animals in the area... but I congratulate you for sharing those moments of yours in this video... you made me feel like I was there with you... finally I was left wondering what problem your forester had... I will be attentive... greetings from Chile
Hi Asha. Last post you were having car trouble. Haven’t seen any posts since Banff. Hoping and praying all is well and you’re ok. (PS: Just purchased a Subie and starting the design/build)
Hi, thank you so much for 'reaching out' - everything is great with me and my car. Lots of things has been happening recently and I didn’t have time to sit down to edit my footage as it often takes days to put together one video. But I will have more time soon so a new video will be coming out in a few days. I’m super exicited for your new project and Subie - enjoy the process because it’s fun! Good luck!
Love the mountains. I am 64 and wish my health was good enough to do that. My dream when I was a young child my first love was to play for the Cincinnati Reds. And the 2nd was live in the mountains like grizzly Adams. I know there is older people knows who that was and if you don’t find it on RUclips. They have it on here. I hope it wasn’t much to have it fixed.
I do know who Grizzly Adams was! :) and I also love mountains, so I hope you will also enjoy watching my future videos and that they will bring you a bit closer to what you used to dream about!
You mentioned Jasper, I've been there when I was younger too. Btw, did you check out that huge hotel across Lake Louis? hmmm? It's beautiful, but wouldn't recommend staying there, it's super expensive, I was a student back then and definitely couldn't afford it. :P
I came across your channel because I'm planning on doing the exact same trip and traveling solo in my SUV next spring. One of my concerns is what park permits to get in advance, camping reservations, and how far in advance to do it. May you have the most wonderful time of your life so far! I look forward to seeing more. Thanks for the great videos!
The road all the way to Alaska is beautiful - you will definitely love it! I have many more videos from Alcan waiting to be edited and published, and in a few of them I talk about my thoughts about traveling solo in Canada and Alaska, and give many tips regarding that route - I think you will find them helpful. I should start posting them within the next few days. II think you upcoming roadtrip will be beautiful and will bring you so much joy! I think it's been the best experience of my life :)
It makes me extremely happy that somebody (in this case You) enjoys watching my videos :) I post the footage with delay (will explain why in my next video), so actually visited Jasper before the wildfire 💔 however I read that the town reopened a few days ago. Thank you again for your nice comment and for watching!
We are partially open. There are still a lot of things closed. Hard balance to find between giving people space to grieve and avoid voyeurism, and let them go through what they are going through now, but also welcoming visitors again for economic reasons… There’s only one supermarket open, two gas stations, a coffee, two restaurants… A lot of the areas around town are closed too so you can’t visit much around here.
Thank you for this update. My heart broke when I heard about the wildfire and I can only imagine what you, and all people living in Jasper, are going through right now… I really hope tourists will be respectful and will give your community enough space to grief and rebuild. Sending lots of warm thoughts your way.
It’s a great sacrifice to only eat certain stuff because of how you travel. Much respect out there. Keep being safe and maybe get that car checked if you can.
I try to cook as much as I can while being on the road, but it’s better to eat freeze-dried food when there is a bear alert in the area - less stressful ;) and thanks for watching my video!
That was a big teapot! It could substitute for a head if you needed a transplant! You would need to weld some handles either side for ears though. Apart from the fact that you would have a long spout for a nose, I think you could make it work. I hope your car is ok
@@ashaslaw maybe you could use two tea bag tabs with the eyes drawn on? I hope you don’t fall down a rabbit hole and become Asha in Wonderland with a Tea Pot head. That would not be a good way to end your Alaska trip.
Yes, really enjoyed your film. Thank you.
Beautiful
Glad you liked it!
Wow, breathtaking scenery my friend! This looks epic!
Canada is stunning!

Epic scenery! Thank You!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
I've been to Lake Louise when I was younger. :)
Great video! Can’t wait to see next one

It is absolutely beautiful! I have many more videos from Canada to be edited and published :)
Beautiful 🤩❤️❤️❤️

Don't forget the sign that reads "watch out for Vampires" LOL.
I’ll take a vampire over a bear any time!
@@ashaslawyeah the bears don’t suck the blood out of your neck like a vampire does.

I didn’t have a chance to go inside but it indeed looked expensive!

Definitely get your vehicle looked at. Winter is coming.
Agree!
I'm enjoying your videos so much. Thank you! I thought Jasper was closed to visitors because of the fires. Have you seen the damaged areas?

Was tea hte same price at the lower and higher teahouse? Must taste so good after a hike!
Good question - can’t compare because I only ordered a small cup at the higher teahouse.
Do they serve coffee at the tea houses ? ☕️
Only tea! But they use glacier water to make it :)
Humming noise from rear wheel/s would normally point to a wheel bearing. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Travel safe
