I love how people come here to correct an individual's favorites. If someone's favorite food is pizza, you can't correct it and say it has to be steak.
@ WTF???
@ agreed
But there is lots of things about a pizza, that you can pick and change to make it a better pizza. And my pizza is always best, until a better pizza comes along. Ain't that right.
You're wrong
Your favorite food is in fact steak!
How dare you have a different opinion than mine!
RIP Pernell Whittaker, one of the best Defensive boxer to ever step foot in the ring. Glad he's in the your top 10 list
Locche was called The Untouchable for a reason. That fight against Fuji in Japan is historic.
I think Locche was the GREATEST defensive fighter ever. EVER. WHy? Because of all the other defensive fighting greats he's the one that didn't have anything else. His hand weren't that quick, he wasn't very athletic, no power to speak of BUT he won over 100 fights because you just couldn't hit him. Competition wasn't great I suppose but still 117 wins 4 losses and 14 draws and 1 no contest. For somebody whose only skill was his defense that is incredible. He did have 14 knockouts but shit after not hitting somebody to 10 rounds or so I'd bet those guys were exhausted more than knocked out.
He(Locche) was what they call an anomoly(Sp?). Funny word. It means exceptionally different. He didnt look like a boxer. More like an accountant,or a highschool shop teacher.,especially with that badly receded hairline. Also,He smoked cigarrettes and barely trained. "Benitez" was the same as far as the training.
I believe his only training was sparring. I dont think he did any roadwork or situps. Also with Benitez,he would take a nap just before his boxing matches, thus why he always entered the ring dry as a bone and also, check out "Benitez vs Shields". Benitez yawns as the ring announcer talks. I never saw a boxer yawn while in the ring getting ready for they're fight.
Robert Decker Jr. lol
Andro Libre naturally gifted, nicolino didnt like to train. on one ocation an argentinian friend and journalist went see him before a fight. HE WAS HAVING A NAP. He smoked and drink too
You can see him in some videos talking to people in the front row WHILE doging puches from the oponent. Beat them out of frustración. Real genius.
Could be even greater but he decided To enjoy life beside being a world champion.
Make an effort with my english jaja
@@RobsterRulzDude0518 well, Benitez is basically a vegetable now. Still a champ, still the youngest ever champ actually.
Locche is the best defensive fighter ever seen, naturally gifted with defensive insight, a true prodigy.
After seeing George Benton, it's funny to hear people say Floyd invented his own defensive style. That's Benton's style lol
Josh C. These people now a days don’t know who’s great defensive teachers like him .
lol who is the idiots who say the mayweather invented this style?
Josh C. Floyd's style is the track and field strategy
Fuck floyd. He one of those bitches that have take/steal them say it's his... Parnell is my fav. btw
Famechon, too. Both used the "Philly Shell" well before Pretty Boy.
I never heard about Wilfred Benitez. Such a genius, to me, the smoothest defenser on this video.
He fought in the era of Hearns, Duran and Leonard, and face them all !!! He last 15 rounds against Leonard and won to Duran !
The most efficient head movement I've ever seen
Best headmovement ever. He wasted no energy doing so. If he neededto move an inch to make his opponent miss, than he moved an inch.
You didn't mention he lasted all rounds against Hearns without being knocked out!
I'm overwhelmed by this video. Too many great defensive techniques in 9 mins of tape. Outstanding!
Great video ! Defensive boxing make the sport utterly artistic and beautiful. Nice that you ended up with Locche " The Untouchable" earning his world championship in the most elegant way a fight could possibly be won: having your opponent refusing to go back to the ring.
NICOLINO LOCCHE genius !
Nicolino was unreal
Loved it that Johnny Famechon got a mention. Willie Pep in later life refereed Fammo's first fight against Fighting Harada.
Boxing fans who don’t like defensive fighters are those who don’t know how to learn it or teach it. They just don’t understand it
Awesome locche is my number 1 too
This guy knows which clips to put in a highlight video. He understands the beauty of the art of boxing. I love watching your videos. I visualise myself doing these things. I learn all the time.
Willie Pep . Although he wasn't blessed with powerful hands, he was sure as hell blessed with, and worked towards having, immense footwork and defensive skills. What a legend. Great fights with saddler. Locche is very good it's a shame his overshadowed in the game because I feel like a lot of people can learn from him. El intocable. The only reason he isn't as known is due to most of his fights being in Argentina. All legends in this list. Great vid and great list. My personal and biased person I'd might put on my list would be Henry Armstrong. More of an offensive fighter ironically but his head positioning made it impossible for people to hit him and he was great at avoiding shots can probably be a better person defensively but I like Armstrong's use of head and shoulder as defense along with using the shoulder to set up shots.
Great video mate. Locche the untouchable is the only choice for the number 1 spot.
Locche, could stand right infront of a person and still couldn't hit him..amazing
This is an outdated list with the wrong fighters on there. People missing from this list are Mike Tyson, Jersey Joe, Ali, Mayweather, Nseem Hamed, Wilfred B, Roy Jones jr
@@hassan123456killa yes i think you are right in what you say, they seem to lean toward the one weight divisions alright. Having said that, these guys are definitely there or there about too. But those guys you mentioned deserve to be there also, bar Tyson and Mayweather. I believe Mike Tyson's defensive system was thought to him . They were not naturally spontaneous. I admit he put a lot of hard work into his defense, but when the going got tough and after D'amato's demise, Mike lost his way and his defense went with it. I also believe Floyd Mayweather fought all the best fighter's he fought, when they were over the hill. I'm not saying he was not great, what I am saying is he did not prove it. When a mans reflexes are slowing down, it is not as difficult to evade his punches.
@@spirgtudsrubec7776 nah not tyson. He still got hit pretty often. Nowhere near ali or the guys mentioned here.
@@hassan123456killa If he had to update his favorites list to accommodate your favorite boxers then it wouldn't be his favorites list anymore.
@@colorado2455 ali got hit plenty, it was his iron chin that kept him up a lot of the times, not his defense
Yes I agree with this...Locche is #1.
53: YES, THE BEST.
Your choice of music is sublime.
Locche difense was simply insane...no power punching,no boxing skills ,only exceptional reflexes..they couldn t hit him. ..a Legend
To say Locche had no boxing skills is crazy
@@wellsnathan agreed
COMPLETELY ACCORDING TO CLASSIFICATION. NICOLINO LOCCHE THE BEST OF ALL TIMES.
This is one of the best RUclips boxing videos I have ever seen. Well done! I feel I learned a bit, thank you!
Fucking amazing. Obviously you take Floyd as a given but watching these guys is an absolute treat. The hip movement of these guys is unreal.
Hilario representing Panama! Finally got into the Hall of Fame this month
Don't know what took them so long to induct him, Zapata was amazing!
+haNZAgod suprised I dont see mike tyson..he was the slickest heavywieght of all time he never got hit
Marco Cano I definitely wouldn't say Tyson was the slickest Heavyweight of all time. A prime Ali, Gene Tunney, Jersey Joe Walcott and Chris Byrd were all more defensively sound than him, Tyson had a tendency to abandon defense when things weren't going his way but for an offensive fighter his defense was pretty good. He doesn't compare defensively to the 10 on this list.
+haNZAgod ya I guess, tyson was an all headmovement defense fighter, he didnt shoulder roll or block or parry , he would just be constantly moving his head so he was a bit 1 dimensional
+haNZAgod Tyson needed Rooney around to keep him calm and focused! Watch film study by Wilson Kayden!
Wilfred benitez and pernell sweet pea had God given ability no one can ever do what they could do
Locche is my favourite too. I haven’t really seen anyone else in who can move the way he does and just his knowledge and understanding of distance / reach makes him “untouchable”. There is a lot of great defensive boxers with good footwork and head movement but from the looks of it he seems to be the hardest to hit out of all of them, opponents have such difficulty landing punches on him I haven’t seen anybody else quite that good at defensive head movement. they call him the untouchable and it’s not too far off from an understatement, he is literally untouchable.
Number 1 Mr. Locche...agreed!
Thanks for another great video
Thanks for the beautiful video.
My all time favourite is Nicolino Locche “The Untouchable”
7:57 wtf
I know right. He was untouchable and he didn't even take training seriously.
Nicolino Locche
@@husain4718 I just picture him reviewing video of opponents during "training", with a beer in one hand, a cigarette in the other, a pack of cigarette in his shirt sleeve and an ashtray littered with cigarette butts.
As always marvelous video, marvelous content and music!
NICOLINO LOCCHE #1
Very good ranking! Had never seen fighting style like Locche's before!
THE ONE:
NICOLINO LOCCHE...
Loved the list. Amazin boxers I didn’t know. Thanks!
Just discovered your channel and about to watch all your videos! This is awesome!
Great video hanNZA, Nico is my number one as well. The real art of boxing is in the defense and all these guys are masters!
Nicolino Locche! Convirtió un deporte brutal en arte.
Nice vid bro! I respect your list.
You got the same taste as me, like it or not, el intoncable Nicolino loche is the best i just love to see him just swings his head to dodge all of those punches 7:56
I loved that list. Well done sir
Locche being number one shows how good Carlos Ortiz was.
Very good list. I'm partial to the guys with slower feet like Mike McCallum, Dwight Qawi, and James Toney, but these guys are as good as it gets. Floyd Mayweather has one advantage, however, in that he is probably the most defensively disciplined fighter. Benitez sometimes fell back on his cheat code level spatial awareness.
Love this channel
No habrá otro igual. Ni siquiera uno
Famechon was the man, tragic about the accident. He was gifted.
N1: NICOLINO LOCCHE
James toney is my favorite boxer of all time, such a natural beast at boxing and the dude never trained lmao
Naw he was trained bruh...do your research....I came from Kronk Gym
Of course he trained, lol. May be not like Roy Jones, but in most of his fights he was pretty sharp. He had also great speed and stamina, speed is always result of training, not nature
Love your list man good job Floyd needed on the list but other than that love your list
That is a fine list sir
😊 great,nicolino 1🥇🎖
Wouldn’t even of known lora if not for this upload brilliant
as a colombian im glad you put happy lora there, but yeah loche its the defensive god
Damn where da 1st beat come from? I found the original version here on youtube but it wasn't the same so I'm guessing this is a remix
Thanks H! Very educational. Please can you now do 10 separate videos doing an hour long breakdown of each fighter listed?..."avec" fancy graphics & text please this time mate.
Cheers,
N
Nick D ruclips.net/video/LlKrvG2Oraw/видео.html nocolino, el intocable (the untouchable)
Locche the man that not entered but lived in the matrix. I like Mark 'to sharp' Johnson to, good complete boxer. And for me Emanuel Augustus just is refreshing eye candy every time i whats one of his fights XD
Great video and music.
What’s the name of the first song on this video. Can u tell me please?
Can you tell me the song @ the end zapata through locche?
What is the music in this video? Description only names the 1st song
Can you list a stamp for each individual song track? I’m trying to figure what that song is at the 3:00 mark. I’ve downloaded a lot of music you’ve put me on through these videos
El intocable nicolino lochee
Benitez is no. 1 for me. Competition was way harder that Locche. No argument against Pep. Sweet Pea is too low and Mayweather will be more appreciated in down the line. My take. Defensive geniuses throughout this video. You never disappoint.
+haNZAgod what were the names of the other 2 songs in the video and who are they by?
Locche and Benitez could make a fighter miss by the most minuet movements.
It's a wonder Willie Pep was so hard to hit with such a massive fucking head.
fkn dead...............LOL
Locche's timing and balance whew
Great video
Only for the lovers of the sweet science
Watch the other Locche's vídeos.
Amazing Master of defensive techniques and World Champion too.
Interesting list. Put me up on a few cats I haven't really checked out yet. Makes me wonder though, how do you feel about Floyd?
What's the song starting with Hilario?
Nicolino Crack!
Chris Byrd is unmentioned here surprisingly. When you consider the fact he was giving up so many pounds and fighting monsters he was unbelievably good defensively
I do like Byrd just not in my top 10 all time. It's pretty hard to narrow down to just 10 and I hate doing countdown lists like these.
@@hanzagodYour list is excellent.
cant disagree with you with ma man at number #5 #ElRadar
Heck ya. And Willie Pep
Watched this like six times good music too
Do you think the shoulder roll defense is the best method?
I love this channel.I wish I could get the oppurtunity to meet with it's owner...Life...
awesome video! and btw What's the first theme song called?
I’d relly like if you could make a video on Vito Antuofermo one of my heroes when I was a teenager: he never lost a match for KO
As a panamanian, my favorite one is Hilario Zapata. A legend.
Song playing at 3:22?
Damn sweet pea at no.8 has to be at least top 5 for me.
J-b Mash in saying...wtf
J-b Mash I'd say top 3 haha
J-b Mash sweet pea drove me nuts by making fights to close by playing around.Still a defensive master!!
Same thing I said bruh....He should be too 3 and he was trained by George Benton
This is a favorite defensive boxer list not the greatest defensive boxer list
Great picks Willie pep and sweet pea for me ☮️
Mine is Floyd but I am new to boxing and young but always looking to learn the O.G'S
Locche 👏👏👏👏👏👏
HanzaGod. Do you add to the list Canelo or Floyd Jr?. Excelent list.
And you list of the 50 favorite boxers add to Pacquiao? If the aswer is Yes What place? Greatings
Great list! All great defensive wizards.
Any chance you can do one of Joan Guzman's defense?
Yea that sounds like a good idea.
Here it is: ruclips.net/video/GpxidFUZIJg/видео.html
Great choice
5:54 song?
Perfect! Could please also do like a top swarmer list? For example Joe Frazier
Hmm yea that's a really good idea actually. Give me some time to think about that, I'll come up with a decent list.
+haNZAgod cool thanks 🙂
Who is fighting Benton around 5:28? I like his rhythm
two questions: isn't it illegal for a boxer to bend down below the opponent's waist?
also doesn't that open themselves for an uppercut? why does the other boxer keep trying to punch straight jabs and such?
No, it is not illegal to bend below your opponents waist. It's called leveling, which a lot of great defensive fighters do. If your opponent is leaning over his knee with his head, yes the uppercut is perfect. But if your opponents technique is good, he could catch the uppercut or step back n counter your uppercut
Amazing
music ? Especially the one playing around Wilfred Benitez?
Moderator - Reminiscing / Langolier - Sunrise / Jenova 7 - "Soul Tripping" (Unreleased)
Thanks man ! Keep up the awesome videos.
Can you list all three songs please , thanx 👍
What is about Sven Ottke?
