Hey Joshporksandwich! I love your Zoas. They are gorgeous! I would love to start a zoa garden, but I was wondering what the risk of Palytoxin is in your opinion? Julien Sprung had a presentation a few years back where he showed that he had some Palys that nuked his entire tank. Are Zoas as toxic as Palys? Besides the purported risk of fragging or cleaning/killing polyps on rocks. In my mind, I could see a Zoa garden in a mixed reef tank where coral warfare started; the Zoas would then nuke everything in the tank and in the house, including people and pets. Have you had any incidents or exposure to Palytoxin?

Never had an incident. Zoas do not nuke a tank unless you cut them inside the tank but I've never had any problems.
